Thursday Live for Part 3!

Dr. Robert Whitfield presents the SHARP Method, a 90-day health optimization program starting with 2-4 weeks of at-home testing for toxins, mycotoxins, heavy metals, and genetic markers like MTHFR. He outlines three tiers of support and explains why generic protocols fail without personalized data and accountability.

All right, we're just getting up on all platforms. We're live in Dr. Rob's Circle. We are live on Substack, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. Book. I'm having a little trouble with my Facebook here and why this is doing this. Move some things around to make it a little bit easier, give you more of a profile view. All right, everybody hop on. Hi Angela, hi Jill, hi Nurse of Mont— is it Montgomery? I don't know. Kind of sharing in my private Facebook group as well. Hi, Carla. All right, everybody's got to get loaded. Hope you brought your questions. It's going to be good. Third night of live streaming. All right. Hi, Brit. Hi, Cookie. Hi, Groff. Hi, Diane. Oh my gosh, Jess, you're still having trouble. Oh my goodness. What am I going to do with you, Jess? I'm going to have to fix this up for you somehow. I'll have to give you the tutorial. So you were to go on Safari and just wipe your browsing history and then go back and log in to drrobscircle.com, should be fine. Hi Ashley, hi Florence, hi Diane, Kim. Yeah, so if you want the best experience, everybody can go into drrobscircle.com. I'm going to livestream, uh, from there the entire time. We'll do our talk to round out the third part in my three-part lives. Of the week. And then I'll go to a live Q&A inside drrobscircle.com, D-R-R-O-B-S-C-I-R-C-L-E.com, or you can just go to my website, drrobertwhitfieldmd.com, and join from there. That's an option too. Jess, if you're having trouble, that's an option as well. Hi, Star. Yeah, please share this live and invite more friends. That'd be great. That would be great. Please do that. Hit people up. Need to get the word out. Hi Michelle. Hi Lynn. I cannot tell who is— if there's anybody on Facebook. Usually I get a couple. Hi, Heidi. Yep, share this with your friends. We got to get more people on the stream, okay? Share, share, share. So once again, the format will be I'll go for 10, do a signature, uh, kind of 10-minute live, and then I will do Q&A as long as y'all want to. But basically we'll start the Q&A here and then carry it into drrobcircle.com. So The link is in my bio. It's on my website. You can do it on mobile. It's been optimized now for mobile, so you can see the stream and the chat and participate. So I want everybody to ask their questions. Excuse me. Hi, Marcia. Carla. Hi, Judy. Yeah, please share this live. That's an awesome idea. Hi, Jill. Hi Kristen. Hi Mrs. T. Hi MJ. Hi Q Pop Florida. Hi Mallory. Oh, is that Jess from the Human Regenerator? Who is that? Chime in there, Human Regenerator. Does everybody know I have one of those? If you don't know what a Human Regenerator is, you gotta find out. Love them. One of the best hacks, one of the best options, one of the best recovery tools I have in my practice. Nick! All right, Nick, thanks for joining. Awesome. Nick's a good man. He got my regenerator in this office in Austin, Texas after the Health Optimization Summit, and yeah, it's been there ever since. Pretty awesome. And I haven't actually talked to Tim Gray in a while, who hosted and put that on. So everybody who wants to have live Q&A, ask me anything afterwards, has to hop into drrobscircle.com. We're gonna let, let people hop on it in a few more before we start the talk, okay? Sorry, people are asking me questions already. Hi, Jennifer. I missed— Hi, Chesca. Hi Trey. All right, trying to look at all my phones here. I've got so many phones and streams going, it's hard to keep track of them all. Thank you, Jennifer. Hi Mikayla. Stacy Rivera wants to know what I specialize in. I am the plastic surgeon in the United States who does explants and simultaneous fat transfers probably more than anybody else. And we have a whole surgical prep and recovery program that we created and built around both recovering and preparing the patients for explant, fat transfer. Cosmetic surgery in general. In general. Excuse me, got the cotton mouth. Hi Linda, hi Zoe. So if you're able to share the stream with friends, that will help us grow the numbers. We want as many people on as possible. I've done 3 lives this week. Um, this is the last one for the week, and then we'll get ready. Um, I have some special things next week where I will be streaming. Uh, it sounds like I'll be streaming with special guests, or I'll be a guest on a live stream, uh, next week. It's very big. Someone has over a million Instagram followers. And, uh, does a lot to help women, so I'm excited about that. Hi, Christy. I have people in from Canada right now. Hi, MZ Benji. All right, well, let's get, uh, hi Jimbrello. I guess I still have people joining, so I'll just wait a little bit. Everybody share the stream so we get as many people on as possible, that would be great. Who do I have on the circle? I have nobody in the circle, seems weird. Thank you, not making sense. I love that tag. Oh, that's awesome. I love that tag. Um, all right, y'all sharing this stream? MG joined. Hi, MG. Did I catch everybody? Um, it is weird how I can have too many, uh, hop in and out so quickly, so All right, RD Aesthetics joined. Hi, how are you? I have a message from somebody. Let me see. Oh, I saw that message already. All right, would everybody like to get going? Oh, Lana's on in the circle. Lana is like the winner winner for being in the circle and being live. She is my, um, exceptional circle member. Absolutely. All right, let's get started. It's a brief talk, but we'll get rolling. Okay, well, I want to welcome everyone back for night 3. This is the final session for this week in our series of 3 lives. And if you've been here for the first two nights, I wanted to thank you because you've invested both your time and efforts to be here. You're committed to understanding your own individual biology. On night one, we decoded the warning lights, the signals your body sends when something is wrong beneath the surface. Fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, digestive issues. We talked about what those symptoms actually mean at the physiologic level. And on night 2, we went deeper into the data. We talked about why generic advice fails, why bio-individuality matters, and how personalized testing, food sensitivities, gut health, toxin burden gives you the map you actually need. So tonight, we're going to put together a plan. And here's the reality. Information without strategy is just noise. I get told all the time patients are getting put on protocols for, uh, Lyme or mold or something, and I ask the question, I go, was, was there any data established beforehand? Were there tests established beforehand? And typically there's not. So data without a framework is just numbers on a page. So protocols without metrics seemingly to me are just not as, as We can't take full advantage of them. What separates people who transform their health from the people who stay stuck is one thing, and I feel like having a more structured and strategic plan accomplishes that. So that's what we're going to build tonight. So I look at everything in 90-day intervals. It's just basically, I find it in, in our patients to be the most valuable tool. Now, a lot of people will fail at this, and I'll be direct about it. Most people who try to improve their health don't actually accomplish that because they get tired. It's hard to stay consistent. They lack motivation, and it's not because they don't care. Typically, we fail because we don't make it habitual. We don't create a system around it. They start a new supplement, they try a new diet, they feel a little bit better for a few weeks, and then they plateau and get frustrated and quit. And probably all that sounds extremely familiar. I've seen this pattern thousands of times in my practice over 20 years, and it's hard to make things stick. There's usually, you know, some reasons behind it. First, they skip the beginning, the assessment. They jump right to a treatment. So like I said, there's no testing up front. They go into a therapeutic protocol because they feel like that's what they need. And without knowing exactly what's going on, that's destined to have a really high drop-off rate or failure rate, however you want to look at it. That's like me operating without a plan. I had a really good friend who was a neurosurgeon, and neurosurgeons can't operate basically without a CAT scan because they don't know where to open the skull. So think of it like that. You don't go to the operating room without a plan. You wouldn't want me doing that, so we don't want to treat your health that way. Second, they typically follow someone else's protocol, what worked for a friend, a family member, a loved one, these days a health influencer. And we're all bio-individual, so it may work for them, but for your individual biochemistry, it's typically not going to have the same effect, if that makes sense. So because we talked about it on, uh, the first two lives, genetics are different, right? You inherit those from your biologic parents. Your exposures are all different— where we grew up, where we lived, where we traveled to, the food we ate, the fluids we drank, the air we breathed. So all those things affect you. Third, they, they typically did it alone without any guidance. So it's hard to stay accountable when there's no guidance, there's no follow-up, there's no testing. If there is an issue or retesting, know when to interpret the data and adjust the course. So think of it like surgery is not a solo effort. We have to have the patient, we have to have the anesthetic team, we have to have the nursing staff and the, the first assistants or the surgical technicians. There's a whole group of people that have to participate in surgery. And it takes more of a group effort in a health transformation. So the 90-day wellness plans that we put together solve these problems. And let's kind of walk you through what we'd normally do. I'll take some comments and see if I can answer some questions before we go on, okay? And my manager Jen is watching. Shout out to Jen. Um, Candy, that sounds, uh, I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like there's a problem with the incision healing. Um, there are a number of reasons for that. I'd have to know your history. I always worry if it's a new device that there's some kind of underlying inflammation or infection in the tissues, but that's super concerning. So definitely go to your surgeon and get that taken care of. You're very welcome, Mrs. Martin. Mrs. Martin has a lot of relief already, which is awesome. Hi, Curiously Kathy. Do I have any more questions in the chat? I want to hit some comments or questions, um, right now before we get further on. Another question about what is my specialty. I'm a plastic surgeon. Hi, Elena. Hi Leslie, do you have a question, Leslie, or a comment? Put it in the chat. Oh, I got a new message. Hold on. Someone wants to join as a guest. Sorry, I'm in a live stream. We're not going to have guests join. So let's go through how we plan this out. So We spend the first 2 to 4 weeks collecting data. So the way I think about this is, and I had a call today about this, a patient had arrived at the conclusion that it was time and they wanted to have a procedure done, but they wanted to get prepared the way we prepare people for our procedures. So phase 1 is I have patients take our supplement stack. So that's the inflammation support bundle. It's based on the genetic results of our patients who are having limitations in their detox pathways. So we supplement for those. Now the point of that is, in combination with your genetics, is to look at your tox burden tests, gut health, food sensitivities, and hormonal balance. So once those are identified, once again, you're continuing supplements the whole time. And so as we result these tests over the first 2 to 4 weeks, we start making plans on what we need to do based on what is found on those tests. There's no guessing. We don't make assumptions. Our practice starts with these comprehensive tests that we talked about, and they're done basically at home. Short of blood work, which you can be— your blood can be drawn a number of ways. You can go get them done at, say, like in AnyLabs, or they have mobile phlebotomists in the groups that we work with. So that's not a barrier. The rest of these are at-home lab panels that cover what we feel are critical to making plans for our patients and then working on things. I have patients who want, you know, removal surgery and simultaneous fat transfers, which I like to do because I feel like that is the— that should be the standard that I work very, very hard for patients to establish, to be safe and effective and reproducible all the time across the country, not just when I do it. So we're testing for your total toxin burden, mycotoxins, heavy metals, environmental chemicals. Think of environmental chemicals, right? We hear about glyphosate all the time, which is in Roundup. You hear about phthalates, which is a plasticizer found in water bottles. Think of like the hard plastic of the water bottle. Phthalates is what helps make that thing harder, okay? So, if you overheat a water bottle, you'll force the phthalate out through a leaching process into the water and you'll drink it and you'll elevate your phthalate level. Phthalates are endocrine disruptors. So, think of things like thyroid problems, Hashimoto's. Think of like sex hormone problems, depressed libido. We talked about testing DNA to look for the genetic predispositions because we inherit those from our parents. Our biologic parents. And then they also give us clues to how we detoxify, in addition, how we utilize nutrients, our recovery. So I don't methylate well. Everybody's heard of MTHFR at this point. There's people who've made tens of thousands of dollars on methylation genes, and I will not say them, but I'll probably get a cease and desist letter if I say them out loud. But If you don't methylate well, which 36% of the population roughly doesn't methylate well, I don't methylate well. That's going to allow you— think of like when you work out, if you stay sore a long period of time afterwards, where if you worked out with a friend, it would comparatively, they would recover faster. Lots of fatigue can be problems in our antioxidant pathway. Enzyme called superoxide dismutase 2 is one that contributes to that if it doesn't function well, or say we had a mold exposure or we had some level of mitochondrial dysfunction. We test food because food is very, very challenging to me. For the longest time, I was on a keto diet eating eggs all the time, and then ultimately I kept having allergic symptoms, runny nose, itchy eyes. I would have like, not rashes, but I would get like more histamine release. I would have stomach swelling. And ultimately it's found out that I didn't have an allergy to eggs, but I was extremely sensitive to them on a food test. So these are all real things that we've used in our clinic for a long period of time. We look carefully at the gut microbiome. Now, the gut tests are all just Kodak moments, right? So none of them are perfect. They shouldn't be thought of in that manner, but they do help us look to see if there's something that we can help with at that time, and they can always be repeated. I've used all these tests personally and done all the different samples for different vendors, even on the same samples. And you can find bacterial imbalances, you can find fungal imbalances, you can find parasitic overgrowth, especially things like Entamoeba histolytica after a trip to Cabo or Cancun for all of you Texans. And we do look at hormones. I find so many patients who have depressed libido and then really, really low testosterone levels in females. And so we don't automatically treat with synthetics or anything like that. We want to know, and then there's different avenues that are more holistic that you can work on to improve that. So there's not one test, there's not one thing that fits everybody, but it helps us create a picture when we get these in unison on supplementation because we feel like if you support everybody's pathways that are all genetic to begin with, and then they can begin a little bit, think of it like to level up a little bit, get more of a reserve, detoxify a little bit better from supplementation, and then figure out what is really affecting them. That is a big driver for success. So during that phase, I'm sorry, we're providing foundational support. You know, we wait for results, We work with the patients, we try to lower their inflammation by improving sleep hygiene, proper nutrition, proper hydration, proper exercise. Think of like walking is a great exercise. In terms of water, you want filtered water out of glass or stainless, not plastic. In terms of food, definitely the hardest one to, to get after. So, um, Obviously, you know, if you grew your own food and you took care of the soil yourself, you would know exactly what's in it. Everything else is kind of a crapshoot. So if you have a good farmer's market, that's a place to start. If you have a good grocery store you trust, that's a place to start. But that's probably the hardest one. Don't eat things out of packages. Don't eat things out of boxes. Those are ultra-processed and you want to avoid those. Excuse me. So these are all the same tactics I provide every single patient I take care of. And you can kind of tell, I know it works and we spread it across all of our clients, which now several thousand people have experienced the program, but we feel like it provides a level of clarity. So at the end of that you know, first period of time, we have a better idea of what exactly you're dealing with. We're not really guessing about that. So now that we have this data and we're being more and more specific about what we're going to do, say for instance, I had a patient who had mold. Now we have holistic treatments for mold, we have medical treatments for mold, and then we have like things think of like your habits. So if you drink a lot of coffee, you really have to be careful with your coffee and get mold-free or as non-toxic coffee as possible. I'll give a shout out to Lifeboost, to Danger, all the mold-free ones that I've traditionally used. If you have a lot of aflatoxin, then you have to be careful with things like nuts and seeds. There's a big podcast I did with Kyle Landry, who's a food scientist PhD, and it's— I think it's got 6.8 million views on YouTube when YouTube used to show my videos. So if you want to check that out, it's on drrobertwhitfield.com, and it's one of my biggest shows ever, and it's on the YouTube channel for Dr. Robert Whitfield MD, and it should be the most popular. So moving on, like when we talked about the food, now you have a real plan when you look at food sensitivities, you just carry around on your phone and just be more mindful. Like, is it going to be perfect all the time? Obviously not. And then, you know, people get a little worried when they see a lot of different things that they may be sensitive to. And in the moment, that seems like a lot, and the information seems to come, you know, hot and heavy. But in reality, there's a lot of things that people can eat in place of what is bothering them, and then their system will calm down, and you retest later, and much of that will have calmed down, so you don't need to avoid them completely. Now, I will say the hardest one over time is getting better balance in the gut microbiome. So that one takes the most time and you really got to be diligent about it. There's no cookie-cutter approach to any of this. That's why I have full-time detox practitioners. I used to run it myself, but we have so many patients now I can no longer do that. So the recommendations, you know, are based on your data. So trying to formulate plans, there's not a, you know, one plan is not going to solve each person's case just like the next person's case. It's going to be different. So the SHARP method, and the reason I wrote the book about it, is, you know, we have this incredible biologic diversity, but part of it's basically dictated by our genes, which allow us to detox. The rest is a series of exposures over time. And think of like the fluid, the food, the air, and then what you apply to your skin. Now, we talked about where you lived, where you grew up, all those things, but our protocols are meant to help evaluate all that. And then we try to really work hard to tailor plans. We have group support programs. So we're building a whole community of people who are on the same journey, whether it's your wellness journey, whether it's pre-op for surgery, maybe you already had an explant or another cosmetic surgery with somebody else, you can still run this program. There is no program like this across the country, I can assure you that. And so the more you do this, the more community we build, the more you'll feel the shift, the energy will come back, the brain fog will lift. We want your sleep to improve because when you rest well, everything gets better incrementally. Digestion will then normalize, and it's not going to be random. It takes a lot of work. It takes interventions that are targeted to help your body heal. Now, we want to continue to build upon that, and in terms of those 90 days, that's a very, very short time, and many people will make a lot of progress. But you don't want to give up at 90 days. I would say that, that habit has not stuck. The sleep hygiene, the diet, the typical exercise patterns we invoke, those things, they haven't stuck yet. So you got to keep working hard and reassess. We have to look at how your body's responded, adjust protocols based on your progress, and continue to tweak and tune it up. This is also where you can continue to build on the things that we started in terms of supplementation and the pathways. Remember, be consistent with vitamin D. So D3, K2 is very important in our immune system. Think of it in our bone health as well and our recovery. And we discussed the methylation pathway. MTHFR is just one of a number of methylation genes, but they help us recover. So taking a methylated B complex like we do is important for recovery and energy production and detoxification. Glutathione is really the master antioxidant in our livers. It binds with and deals with all this, either environmental toxins, chemicals, herbicides, pesticides. It's, it's constantly trying to deal with all this stuff. And take care of you. And then your antioxidant pathway is really how your cellular machine is working. And, and think of like the harder it works, the more garbage it creates. And the antioxidant pathways help reduce the O3, which is from oxidative stress or cellular work, and break it down. So when all those pathways are slowly, incrementally improving your detoxification. Think of, think of your detoxification pathways as building more and more reserve, which to me is more and more resiliency. And when you do that, your body can do what it was designed to do: heal, adapt, but really perform better. This isn't about just managing any symptoms. This is about engineering your, your whole biological environment so that the symptoms you have, they, they just kind of over time will fade away and, and definitely not be as visible. We want all those in the background. Now, at that point, you're definitely probably feeling like you're not the same person. You've improved quite a bit. And if you're on a surgical path, then you're really optimized for surgery. If you've already had surgery, then you're just building and building, improving and recovering. So everything I just described, the assessment, the intervention, the optimization, is the SHARP Method. It's the reason I took time out and wrote one of two books in my career to make it very, very simple to understand. The book can be listened to online. It can be purchased. It's very short. It's very simple, much like I've laid out here. So I built it initially for all of my patients, and now I want to spread this to all the patients having like I said, explant surgery, explant and fat transfers, fat transfers, cosmetic surgery, because I know deep inside I've seen this work time and time and time again over thousands of patients to help them recover more quickly because we've prepared them and we've gotten them in the right, think of like mindset for this. So you can remove, in this case, when I do a lot of removal surgery, you can remove the device and the capsule. But if you don't take care of all the root causes contributing to chronic inflammation, you're really not helping the patient solve the problem. Surgery is not going to solve all the problems as it relates to that. I guarantee you. So the protocol that I've created is not really just for surgical patients. If you've been listening, anybody can run this protocol. So I have my patients put their husbands, I have my patients put their friends on this protocol, and they do better because they believe in the protocol. So that's why we've created different standalone programs that if you're not my patient, you can take advantage of. There is a foundational program. So this is an entry point. It takes you through the assessment, the detox protocol, the supplements, and group support for a year, as well as my book. And anyone can start doing that. So think of if you've already had surgery and you want a way to recover more quickly, or if you have one planned and you want a way to to recover more quickly. That is a great tool. We have a premium program that includes all of the foundational plus the TOCS test, all the testing. Then the full program is basically what all of my patients always get, which is more of a white glove service. All the first two programs plus the attention of our practitioners. And things are always at this point in a group setting. All right, so I'm going to take some questions now. Um, everybody knows we're in Texas. Once again, if you're planning to explant, you can work with our team and have your surgery in your area. I know that's very, very desirable to a lot of patients not to travel and come to Austin. I really appreciate everybody who comes to visit us in Austin. I think anybody on this stream can hop into the chat and say how great my team is in Austin. They— I've been so fortunate. I have such a wonderful group of staff and practitioners and providers and all the administrators and everything that makes it go. All right, so if you want to get involved with the SHARP method, if you want to learn more about it, obviously I do have a brief mini course that you can take. You can get that through any of my domains, drrobertwhitfieldmd.com, drrobscircle.com, or the drrobssolutions.com. Which is our store. Um, the book, The Sharp Method, is there. You can listen to it on audio. You can buy the book. Or if you want to engage in any of the foundational, premium, or concierge programs, click the link in the bio or go to the site and look at the program. You can set up a completely, uh, free discovery call to discuss that with my team. But everything's laid out very clearly and transparently. If you miss sessions 1 or 2, um, inside the circle, we'll have the replays. Um, if you want to comment the guide, I'm sorry, comment the word guide, we'll send you my free PDF that was offered on, uh, day 1. And then once again, um, for live Q&A, we're going to start it here and then take it into drrobcircle.com. Where I have, uh, already have folks asking me questions in there. And, um, excited to do this. Jess, did you get in there? I don't see that you're in there. I see that you're on Instagram. I'm gonna make sure on Instagram I've Answer the question. No, Sabrina, supplementation is for 2 weeks prior to the tox test, not for 90 days. Sorry if that was confusing. Liliana, that is why we developed the program so that your immune system will calm down. But that's the correct question. I'm going to go over to TikTok and see if I have a question. Amanda says, I had my implants for 12 years, no pain, etc., saline. Do I need to replace them? You need to go and have a discussion about it. Whether or not you do that is up to you. No one has to do anything. The guidance is The rupture rate increases a half percent per year annually after, say, 8 to 10 years. Now I have Mary and Elena on Facebook. Do you have questions? Oh, my nose is itching. All right, Sabrina, we'll miss you tonight. Hi, Gretchen. Hi, Jenna. Oh, Dr. Whitpaw, I want to thank you for coming to the event. On Monday night, I appreciate that. I'm sorry I didn't get to chat with you. So, uh, obviously dental implants and biologic dentistry is a huge deal. Um, the Lawleys are doing another documentary just about biologic dentistry and all the cavitations and biofilms. And, um, I've seen a ton of that. I did, uh, reconstruction for mandibular cancer quite a bit. So oral cancers, cancers of the tongue, cancers of the mandible, and we use the fibula. It was always such a complicated process to get those taken care of. So yeah, of course, all those things can have problems for sure. Hi, Mordoran. And if I'm messing up your name, I'm sorry, I don't mean to. All right, what else do we have? Any other questions before we go into the circle? So you can go to drrobscircle.com and join for free, and then we can carry on the discussion in there. You can always hit the sites. My link's in the bio, drrobertwhitfieldmd.com. All of the information on SHARP is there on its own page, and, uh, hope to see y'all inside the circle. Bye. Thank you for buying
