The speaker defines nurturing touch (how you'd hold a baby; holding a crying partner) and uses a personal anecdote to illustrate its healing role.

I think this is very, very important, especially if you're in relationship with a male partner, because where most men have a hard time understanding how to love us as well as we'd like to be loved, is that they're very comfortable with sexual touch. They'll grab our butts or whatever, smack our fannies when we walk by or what have you. But they don't really understand the nurturing, the healing, and the sensual touch. And that's, again, it goes to sexual literacy. And so one of the aha moments for a lot of people, and not just men, women too, people across the gender spectrum, is this notion that there's these four different kinds of touch and that you can bring them all online. So nurturing touch. I often explain as how you'd hold a baby, but in all honesty, sometimes I. I got news this morning that a friend of mine's son died. And the first thing that I did was I went to my husband and I cried in his arms for as long as I needed. And I. I just let myself cry, and he just held me. That is nurturing and healing touch.
