Robert Whitfield MD explains why patients gain weight and feel exhausted after explant surgery. His program typically helps patients lose 10 to 30 pounds, but a study found 4 out of 6 women saw no symptom improvement from explant alone.
I'm still feeling fatigued and I've gained 15 pounds since my surgery. Is this normal? No, that is not. That is actually the opposite of normal. So in our experience, you lose 10 to 30 pounds running our program in conjunction with surgery. So that's not accurate. Um, that's very bothersome to me. And that— I thank you so much for that comment because that is not normal. That is not the case. That is not what my patients experience.
Not at all.
So, Missy, I would say yes, that is likely. And my program is basically set up for someone like you.
So, and it's talking about women after they explant, and they, they're finding that— I would, I think the paper was saying maybe like, you know, looking at the statistics, it was like 4 out of 6 women were not seeing any resolution out of just explanting alone. And I think that is it, you know, we haven't really seen those numbers much, and I think it's really important to address because we see so many women come to us and they're having that same problem.
