I run 17 businesses, and if I had to double my profit margins next month, I'd read and implement these 3 books. First up, we've got Profit First by my buddy Mike Michalowicz. Profit does not just happen by accident. You have to plan for it. This is the book that shows you how to put the cash flow systems in place that ensure that profit actually happens. Next, we've got The Art of Profitability. This book outlines the 23 different profit models. Read it, identify the top 2 or 3 that apply to your business, and then lean into those. Finally, we have Get Scalable. I'm obviously biased. This is my book, but one of the best ways to increase your output without increasing your overhead is to lean into systems, and this book is the playbook for that.
