No one talks about the grief of stepping out of your business. You lose your identity before you find your freedom. But you will find it if you keep going. This tweet was inspired by a conversation I had with one of our clients. He had just sold his business and was really struggling. I felt the Same way in 2019, had just exited a number of businesses, had a bunch of money in the bank account, had everything that I'd always dreamed of, except I had lost my identity. So the lesson is, if you're going to exit a business, if you're going to exit a role, make sure you know what you're exiting to.
