Establish your default settings. When are you going to show up at work? When are you going to leave work? Because everything that you need to get done can likely get done in an eight hour period during the day. And if you don't establish your defaults, the loudest thing will. Because the mistake that I made is I never established my defaults and the business was the loudest thing. And so if the business needed me, then it got me. It doesn't mean that you can't deviate from them from time to time, but when you decide what your defaults are, then the deviation becomes the exception and it doesn't become the rule.
