Ryan Deiss explains how leaders can set teams up to win: define roles clearly, communicate when expectations shift, and back those changes with training, pay raises, or new titles. Don't overextend people into failure.

The bigger theme here is we want to make sure that we clearly define the roles for our people and that we don't ask somebody to do something that is beyond the role that we've hired them to do without, number one, making it clear to them that expectations have changed, and number two, aligning that decision to change the expectations with additional training, additional pay, additional title. All of those pieces have got to be in place. And I'll tell you, we do this to our people because we expect it of ourselves. That is an entrepreneurial thing to just always be able to grow. But we got acknowledge, even sometimes we get out over our skis. So don't set your people up for failure.
