Don't give up on your goals for a girl or a guy. Find one who helps you go after them. Find a woman who kills drama instead of starting it, makes life quieter, not louder, tells you you're better than these guys, you can beat them, and wants you to win even more than you do. Then become the man required to attract that woman and marry her the moment you find her.
Yeah, I agree. I mean, you shouldn't give up your goals for someone, but you also shouldn't be afraid to change your goals after meeting someone. There's a fine line between having somebody around you that's going to support you and having somebody around you that maybe enables your bad ideas. I mean, I know my goal for the longest time was I want to build a billion-dollar company, and that's a good goal. But the pursuit of that goal after I'm married with 4 kids, it nearly cost me everything. It was the reason that I was leaving every morning before people came, before people woke up. It was the reason I'm getting home after everybody's asleep, and my billion-dollar goal was what I was using to justify that. And had my wife supported me in that all along, it would have been bad for both of us. She did support me. She was there for me, but she was also very quick to hold up a mirror and ask, "Hey, is this really what we wanted? Is this really what you want? Is this really what's best for us?" And I think that's what good partners do for us. They're going to support us when we're right, but they're also going to be quick to hold up a mirror when we're wrong.
