There's nothing wrong with wishing you had a job. If you're a business owner and you're thinking, this sucks, I kind of wish I was just working for somebody else, you're not alone. I think most business owners, if they're being honest, they feel that way a lot. You're working harder than everybody else. There's many months you're making less than everybody else. And yeah, sometimes that job can seem appealing. And sometimes, look, depending on how the business is going, that can be the right move to make in the short term. Just because a business fails doesn't mean that you are personally a failure as a business owner. My question is, are you an entrepreneur or are you an employee? Because I do believe it's an identity. I do believe that it's a calling. And for me, I'm functionally unemployable, and most of the business owners I know, they're the same. So you can pine away all day long, like, wishing you that you just had a job, but you and I both know that would suck even worse. So just because it hurts and just because it's not a lot of fun and just because you wish for it doesn't mean you're a bad person. Nothing you should feel guilty about. But here's what I'll tell you: the grass ain't greener on the other side. If you Hate your job right now and it's your business, good news, you can rewrite your job description. So, if you've fallen out of love with your business, you probably have actually fallen out of love with your job. So let's rewrite that job description, fall back in love with your business again, 'cause the grass ain't greener on the other side.
