My wife has talked about how I would come home from work happy or in a good mood as opposed to just exhausted and worn out. The Big 4 do suck. I would tell everyone to get an internship, maybe do a year, get it on your resume, and then get the heck out of there because it's not worth killing yourself over. I like the openness. I like being able to ask questions and know that I'll get honest answers. I like being given the opportunity to fail and not be scared that I'm going to lose my job over it. I like the attitude of we're all trying to learn and grow and improve. As long as you get your work done, if you need to take time off to go take a kid to a doctor appointment or you want to go see somebody's ballgame— my anniversary is right in the middle of busy season. I work a full day, but I stop at 5 and I can still go to dinner with my wife. I don't have to be worried that, oh my gosh, the deadline's in 5 days.
