During tax season, my daughter would just come into the office and she would sleep on the floor. You know, at the height of it, I was working 7 days a week, 65, 70 hours a week. I have been a single mom for 17 years. I'd pick her up from school and she would just hang out in the office and, you know, January through April, and she would eventually take a nap or watch movies. Is that necessary that you have to go through sacrificing family and time and fun in order to have that same value that I bring to my clients? At Insight, I think that we offer really great training. We offer really great support, have a great tax department, a great bookkeeping department. So I don't think it's necessary to go work for like a Big Four, sacrificing your work-life balance in order to get the experience I have. It was exciting to hear at Insight the life that the accountants were living, where you could have this work-life balance. I love accounting, I love doing taxes, I love working with people. It makes me really excited and fulfilled. So to have that opportunity to do both was enticing. Visit insighttax.com/career-page.
