You know, a question that comes up quite often when I'm working with clients that I coach is what's the best way for me to promote my practice? Now, the actual answer is different for each person, but my response is usually the same. And that is whatever you will do most consistently. You see, it's important for us to have consistency in putting our message out there. So if you don't like social media, chances are you're probably not going to be good at promoting what you do on social media because you're not going to do it consistently. And anytime there's any hardship or difficulty or tech glitch, you're going to be easy at throwing in the towel, right? You're just going to give up pretty easily and you're going to get frustrated very easily because you've already decided that this isn't for you. What I instead encourage you to do is find a medium that you like to express yourself on. Now here's the thing. If you don't like any self promotion or marketing, there's not much anyone can do to help you. So you, you've got to like something. Maybe you like writing, maybe you just like posting without doing videos on social media. Maybe you like being able to speak about what it is that you do. And maybe that's a podcast, maybe you like webinars, maybe you like, you know, writing so you write a book. Maybe you like networking, so you're networking with people in your community. What is it that you will do consistently that enables you to put your message out there in the world? Who? For some of you, one of the best promotion strategies I recommend is finding like minded organizations in your community and becoming their best client. What does the best client do? The best client is a loyal shopper. Okay. The best client refers other people. The best client gets to know the owner and the management and figures out how they can be of service and how they can help them and how they can help them build their business. That's what the best clients do. If you want more of those, you've got to be that for other people. That's another great way that you can promote yourself without promoting yourself right? Just by simply being of service. And who doesn't like to be of service to others? Certainly if you're in the functional medicine wellness space, then you love helping people, so why not help other business owners who can then in turn send their clients over to you, right? So you know, become friends with the local health food store owner because they can send patients over to you who have a problem that you can solve. But it gets knowing them, it gets, you know, perhaps being their best customer doesn't mean you have to buy everything from there. But you're loyal to that place. You refer other people to that place, right? You say nice things, you treat the staff well. You should treat everyone well. But in particular, you're doing that with, you know, deep intention. So, so many ways to promote yourself. The best thing to do is find a strategy that keeps you consistent, that you love doing, that you look forward to. And guess what? You're going to be far more successful, authentic, and you're going to get way better results if you put yourself out there in the world that way. So I hope that helps, and I hope that gives you some encouragement to go out there and promote your message to the world. We need you now more than ever.
