Sachin Patel explains a simple process to increase engagement from webinar/Zoom meeting registrants by using Zoom registration custom questions to collect attendee-specific information (e.g., desired weight loss and questions they want answered). He shows how to set custom required or optional fields in Zoom, reviews example responses from a weight-loss webinar, and recommends sending brief personalized follow-up Loom videos (≈1 minute) with an email using a subject like “A personal message from [host] for [name]” to drive calls or deeper engagement. He also suggests making a generic version of a short video when many attendees ask the same question.
Questions this video answers
1) How much weight are you trying to lose? 2) What questions would you like answered during the presentation?

I want to share a really simple video that is going to walk you through a process that is going to allow you to collect more information about the people who attend your webinars and also your Zoom meetings. So we host a lot of our webinars as a Zoom meeting and this allows us to have interactive conversations with people. You can still have a registration setting for a Zoom meeting, but here's the thing, you can also ask questions. So you can actually get people to answer questions before they join the presentation so you know exactly what they're dealing with. So, so here's an example. Here's a recent weight loss webinar that we did and I asked two simple questions. How much weight are you trying to lose? And what questions would you like answered during the presentation? Now I'll show you how to do this and what strategy to use with this. So here is Zoom. So when you set up your meeting, what you're going to do is you're going to set up your meeting and you're going to actually, once you set up the meeting, you're going to have a set of options here that say registration. In the registrations, you're going to click on edit. And then now you're going to have a whole bunch of options for you. Automatically approve, manually approve. You'll have other options to close the registration after the event date, and so on and so forth. But here's the thing, you can also choose what fields you want people to fill out and there's also some custom questions that you can ask. So I can just click on here, ask a new question, and then I can either have a short answer or I can create a multiple choice opportunity for people and I can choose if this question's required or not. So, so this is super important because now you have reconnaissance and you have a better understanding of why people are joining in the meeting and what they hope to learn. But you also have an opportunity now to follow up with people. So what we're going to do with this list is we're going to look at all these people and you see this person wants to lose £50, £50, £20, £110. They want to lose weight and keep it off. So probably they, they're having a hard time losing weight or feel like it's taking forever and, and they keep gaining it back. This person wants to lose 60 pounds, 40 pounds, 20 kgs, which is about 45 pounds, 100 pounds. And the list goes on and on. So now what we can do is we can see what questions people have going into the presentation and we can also follow up with these people. So I can reach out to this person. I won't show you their name obviously, but I can reach out to this person and say, hey Susan, I noticed you're trying to lose £50 and you're struggling to balance your hormones and I would love to see how we can help you. Let's set up a time to speak together. I would suggest recording a Short Loom video which is about no more than a minute long, that perhaps answers their question and directs them to set up a time to speak with you. So this person is going to be blown away by the personal touch that you're providing and odds are you're going to get way more engagement and interaction with this person and they're likely going to at least start the process of feeling seen and feeling heard and, and somebody has taken the time to record a personal video for them. One of the things that I would suggest doing is using a software like Loom. Loom is really great at recording short videos and instantly sharing the link. And the subject line of that email would be something as simple as a personal message from Sachin for Susan. And that way they're going to see their name, they're going to see my name and they're going to see, wow, there's a personal message for me here. And then when they open up the email, they'll see the gif of you talking and then you answering their questions saying, hey Susan, I noticed that you had a question for from our last webinar. I answered it in the video below. In that video, you answer their question in no more than a minute. You want to give them high level stuff and then invite them to dive a little bit deeper on a call with you. Will everyone open the email? Will everyone respond? Absolutely not. Now here's the thing. Here's the trick. Here's what I encourage you to do is if you see the same question over and over again or you see the same pattern coming up over and over again, don't say the person's name in the video. Instead you can say, hey, I recorded a video for you. And that will be helpful in getting that person to watch the video. You're still personalizing the email, but then you can use that video over and over again if you choose to. Hope that helps. My buzzer just went off. Time is up. I'll talk to you soon. Lots of love. Bye for now.
