How to Grow and Monetize Your Facebook Groups with Sachin Patel and Maruxa Murphy

This is a recorded conversation (YouTube) between host Sachin Patel and community-building consultant Maruxa (Maruksha) Murphy about designing, growing, engaging, and monetizing online communities (especially Facebook groups). They frame community as essential to wellbeing (mental and social), cite pandemic-linked increases in anxiety/depression, and distinguish audience (one-way) from community (multi-directional). Maruxa presents five "profit path" community models — Engage, Endorsed, Excite, Educate, Evangelized — and a value-journey funnel (aware → engage/subscribe → convert → educate → evangelize). She shares operational examples and metrics from her work (100+ custom communities; rapid revenue generation from small, purpose-driven groups), a content resource (300 content prompts), and practical tips (e.g., using small paid front-end experiences like $7–$27 to increase commitment).

Well, my friends, and welcome to Perfect Practice. I'm super thrilled today because I have a special guest that's going to be sharing her valuable insights, tools and resources on how you can leverage and appropriately utilize group programs and groups and communities to really leverage the knowledge that you have to leverage the opportunities that. That exist. And now more than ever, we need community. Community is, you know, the cornerstone, the bedrock of what it means to be human. And without community, you know, society kind of falls apart. So now more than ever, I'm clinging to my community and others are clinging and finding their communities so that they can feel whole again, so that they can feel a sense of belonging. And I learned an interesting fact this weekend that a sense of belonging actually increases lifespan anywhere from 10 to 15 years. It's pretty remarkable when you think about that. So this goes beyond just the financial opportunities. This goes beyond the business growth opportunities and the impact opportunities. Imagine you could have a group of a thousand people who all live, let's just be conservative and say, 10 years longer than. Because you give them a sense of belonging. I mean, you could add literally 10,000 years of human life to these people's lives and their family's lives and their extended family's lives. So literally, we could increase human lifespan by tens of thousands or millions of years just by giving people a place where they feel a sense of belonging. So I have a very special guest today, somebody who I've gotten to meet through another networking group that I belong to called the Tribe for Leaders. So we always going to give Jewel and Kevin a huge shout out because they introduced us. And Maruksha, who's my guest today, was actually part of a pod that we belong to. So pods are a small group of accountability partners and growth partners. And as soon as Maruksha and I met, it was kind of connection at first sight, so to speak. And we realized that there was so much value that we could offer each other. And Maruksha specializes in community and building community, leveraging community and. And monetizing your community as well. So without further ado, Maruksha, welcome. Thank you for joining us today.
Oh, gosh, it's so wonderful to be here. Sachin, thank you so much for bringing me to discuss community, to really support your community, to create thriving communities. I love that statistic. We're going to be talking a little bit about mental health. I have a background in mental health and have a master's in. In that and have really, you know, someone actually told me today, like, oh, this work of yours is. This is your Dharma Arusha. Like, And I was like, huh? I really appreciate that because I never knew that this was a thing, a community was just a part of my life, my way of being, until last year when we all realized, oh, wait, we don't have that as much available to us anymore. What can we create in our lives and our businesses that really aligned with who we are as leaders, as influencers, in our own ways of showing up in the world? So it is a pleasure to be here with you and hello, everybody that I'm here with. This is so fun. I'd love to utilize the chat as a way for me to connect with you. So if you'd like to share while I'm. If you're here live on Zoom with me, feel free to connect that way. And. And then Satya and I would be more than glad to connect with anybody within the community afterwards who's in comments and connecting up with them there. Because right now, this is what I. Absolutely, absolutely. Because this is my Dharma work. This is the work of what I feel that I, in this lifetime, supposed to be doing. And I didn't know that. But here's the thing. Last year happened, and it really led us into this space of this new era. You know, when Covid rocked all of our worlds and we all went into quarantine, you know, how many of us here, right, by raise of hands or in the chat, had this experience? Everything canceled. All, you know, events, travel, anything that we have seen, clients, patients, right, it all canceled. And the way in which we were trying to figure it out was to do it this way. This was our new life. This was our new way of doing and being. And it was, for some, it was a fantastic opportunity. And I do believe it is an opportunity. But we all, many as a globe, found ourselves in this place of just like, oh, my gosh, what? How do we even build our businesses now? Like, we're used to seeing people in people in people. We're used to seeing people in people, but we're used to seeing people in person and using. Used to being. To feel their energetic experience by being face to face. And what also happened was. Yes. Hey.
So sorry. So sorry to interrupt your flow. There's a bit of static on your headphones, so maybe we can go to a microphone, if that's okay with you. I don't want to miss anything you're saying.
No problem. I appreciate you telling me. One moment. Okay, sure. How's that? Oh, wait, hold on. Okay, I can hear you.
Yeah, that sounds perfect. Thank you. Yeah.
Yes. You thank you. So one of the things that we recognized, you know, we went from this place of trying to figure it out on our own, and many of us really felt that. And you might have felt this as well, like, oh my gosh, I have to change everything in my way of doing and maybe even feeling like way of being was being shifted. And you weren't alone. We knew that this was the culture, this was the new quote, unquote culture that was really being raised up is to figure out how to do it virtually. What it also led to were these statistics. And we found this over and over again. I kept looking like, maybe there's hope. I have been looking at these statistics now for these last 18 months. And it's, you know, and it's, and I'm sure you're feeling it, you're seeing it, that the truth of these numbers really showing up and, you know, I think the one that really speaks to me the most is right here. The four out of 10 have reported an increased anxiety and depression during 2020 versus one out of 10 in 2019. That's a massive shift. Plus the difficulty of sleeping, eating, increasing alcohol and substance abuse, consumption. It was a thing, and it still is a thing. We as a world are needing to figure out what to do about it. What a lot of folks don't recognize is the correlation between mental health and our physical bodies and our isolation and loneliness. And so for me, last year was a wake up call saying, oh my gosh, you know, I've been designing communities for 22 years. Not a lot of people know how to do this online. What if I actually leaned into the hundred plus communities that I have designed to create additional revenue streams of six figures and some of them seven figures, and teach more business owners how to do that? Like, that's what came out for me, because I can't, I can't even with these numbers. And we deserve as, as human as, as a, as a human race to find our place back in connection. And so what is possible? That was the big question that really started to show up for me.
So these mandates must be driving you nuts, isolating people, right? Yeah. Like, one thing that people have to realize is that in prison the greatest punishment isn't surrounding yourself with murderers and criminals and rapists. It's being isolated all by yourself. Like, that's like the worst thing you can do to a human being. And that's essentially what's happened. Right. We've been relegated to our homes. You know, I'm not sure how many people on this call are probably following those recommendations. We're probably out. We found our community, we found our tribes. But it's important for us to understand that many people haven't and we could be that safe haven where like minded people connect and co contribute to a conversation that aligns with our deepest self. And you know, if that's not possible in person, certainly it's possible online. And you know, ideally we would have both. We'd have a local in person community or a collaborative that we meet quarterly or something like that from all over the place. Or we could tap into our online networks which are readily available to us where people from all over the world, different walks of life can come together and celebrate life. So yeah, I think it's interesting I would imagine from your perspective being a community building expert, how much this drives you nuts. Knowing the research, knowing the implications not just to a business but to the individual as well.
It really does. And I live in Florida which has been open for a minute for quite some time and even so, even so just to see how we still feel. And there's another side to it which is not just the being sequestered into our homes, but it also is the psychological training that's taking place right now of well, maybe we don't really need each other, right? Maybe there's, maybe there's something there that means that it's okay not to be so close to one another anymore. Maybe we can focus on other means to get that connection. What my biggest desire at this point is, Sachin, and everyone here is that we recognize this, that we really are at a very insanely beautiful time of renaissance. If there was a renaissance, another renaissance period, it's now, it's now. When it comes to designing our businesses, when it comes to designing how we show up as leaders for those companies that we're running and, and, and for your practices and how we connect with our people. So you know, it was for a long time, Sachin, it was like the, the angsty like you know, I was grieving what was. And now it's really turned into okay, well what is and what's possible. And really that's what my message of hope is for us today is to recognize that we have so much opportunity and in fact it's not going to be any more this where your added Facebook group. Maybe some of us have attempted to design a Facebook group and said okay, I'm going to do it because someone told me I'm supposed to have a Facebook group or I'm going to have a Facebook page and I just should have that thing. And oftentimes it becomes this like zombie land, right? This deserted space where you're not really sure what to do, not really sure what to say. Your events, your product, your programs are thriving when you do it in the way in which you know how to do, but you don't know what to do with this thing. This is our opportunity to like play. So as we're designing out your practice, you get to also envision, how would I like my community to connect with me? What are the possibilities here? You know, because the community is your family. This is actually a picture of one of the communities I designed. It was a, it was a business incubator in Austin, Texas and we were having an in person, it was a hybrid community, meaning it was half face to face, half virtual. And I literally decided to create a grown up summer camp to get, get out of our head and into our bodies and move. And so there I am as a unicorn. Something I don't know with my husband being, I don't know what he's doing with one of our daughters there, but really it is, it's about designing family, right? So if you imagine community and you take that big word of like community or a Facebook group and, and we begin to imagine what if you could actually create the family that you've always wanted to have, what would you create in that kind of a scenario?
You know, my friend sent me, he moved down to Costa Rica for the next few months and he sent me a list of activities that his kids were going to be doing at a weekly camp that's there. And when he first sent it, I didn't realize it was for his kids. I actually thought it was for adults. So there was like a woodworking class, there was like, you know, all this fun stuff that you would do at camp. So looking at this gives me such a big smile. I'm getting goosebumps even just talking about, about it because I messaged him back. I'm like, this would be kind of fun for us adults to do. Like, I'm salivating here, wanting to do these things and do them with other people. So community is so powerful, so impactful and it's low hanging fruit, especially right now because people are craving it and seeking it. And there's so many of us practitioners who have an opportunity to leverage what you're describing as this massive, you know, need, but you know, also opportunity at the same time.
Absolutely, absolutely. And honestly, while I, you know, I've been building a ton of communities you know, I've created over, gosh, I've, I've created over 100 custom communities where I've been brought in as almost like a fractional CXO community person, community chief, chief community officer basically, and then have designed out the communities from there. I started to realize that all businesses, whether you're just getting started or are at the level of hiring a fractional cxo, needs to know the basis of how to design a community. And so really what I want to do is, and the outcome of that is in the cases of which I've, in which I've created, is leading people not just to being part of a home or a family that feels so yes to them, around topics of interest to them, but also it really creates a level of engagement, a level of long term relationship development with these individuals that lead to referrals, lead to their sales, obviously, you know, inviting them into your programs, et cetera, and then onward into other programs that you have because they've already been building that know like and trust with you. Right? And so the goal there is to utilize this gorgeous medium called Zoom and gorgeous medium called Facebook groups or whatever other platform you're really interested in and figure out what is, what is possible. For me, how can I innovate these platforms in a way that feels good, yet at the same time having the systems in place to know that I'm doing the right things that help lead me to growing community, growing engagement in increasing sales all the while. So there's a lot of innovation that we're seeing, we're seeing it through other platforms like TikTok, Instagram. It's just a couple of different, different opportunities there. However, with that being said, you know, we oftentimes don't know how to turn this vision for a community or our message or our voice and how you want to design out your practice into something that's an actual profit driver for your business. Right? For your practice. And that is that right there is what we're going to be diving into for the rest of this time. Because for 22 years I've been really building this consultancy for culture and community architecture without, without, without thinking through a lot of those processes. I was, like I said I was that fractional CXO coming into these businesses. These are some of them and, and at the same time wasn't laying it all out. So last year, because of the pandemic, my opportunity was how can I multiply myself? How can I multiply my impact and my efforts and bring this to you at this point. And that's what we've done. And a lot of that is because what I've recognized is that you have we all, in this time and age, we're changing and the change is really critical. And those who are open minded on how to do this are going to be the ones that come out ahead. In addition to that, we are designed for connection and engagement like we've already talked about. And there are ways to really help you develop out your programs in a way that really align with what's possible. So give yourself that full permission to know that as we're going to go into this right now, you have the capabilities to do that. Right? And like what, how? How like. Marisha, tell me the how. Please tell me the how. So the first how that we need to get through and understand and kind of like massage for a minute here is this conversation around these two keywords. You hear them? I know all the time, right? Like audience, community. What the heck do they mean? I always thought they meant the same thing. That is the number one thing that when people come to me, they say, all right, Marisha, help me build my community, okay, but help me figure it out on Instagram or help me figure it out on TikTok. I'm like, okay, let's get clear on this so that we're all on the same page as to what we're really designing. This right here is an audience. What do I mean by that? We have a whole bunch of people who get the pleasure of listening to you, right? But it is one directional. Audience building is one directional. It's you speaking on a platform. Maybe it's clubhouse, maybe it's Instagram, maybe it's Facebook. Maybe it's a speaking engagement on a summit or live or virtual, right? Or on a podcast. Those are all beautiful opportunities to design audience because it's one directional. You're sharing your, your powerful message. A community, on the other hand, is much more circular. Community is where we're having multiple directions of conversation happening. So right now I'm. What I'm doing right now where I'm speaking is more audience. You know, it's an audience. You're. You're listening very kindly and you're listening to me. And it's a one directional thing. There's going to be a point, hopefully at Q and A where we will be in lots of conversation, right? And so in that we've now have a. We go from a one directional experience to two, two directional, maybe three, maybe four, maybe ten lots of people having conversations and filling in where the other person left off. Right. That is the essence of community. That is the essence of community. And when we think about it as, as it relates to creating a profitable community, as it relates to your practice, you want to begin to think about your community as a place that, that aims to create profit.
Right.
By bringing people together for a specific goal or interest in exchange for money and serving them with products or services. Yeah. So that is really the intention behind how to do that or what, what we're talking about. When I, when I talk about creating a profitable Facebook group or creating engaged communities. And creating engaged and profitable communities. And what I found is that, yeah.
What would you say to somebody who maybe reads that and has some sort of objection to it? Because I know practitioners, sometimes the word profit or the word money, finances can be somewhat triggering. So what would you say to a practitioner? I mean, I certainly have some ideas of what I would say, but I'd love for you to share. How do we help people overcome that objection and not feel icky about it?
Gosh, I love this question, Sachin. Thank you. So my background is in mental health. Right. So I can relate on that level and on the level of like, well, I shouldn't, I shouldn't charge a lot of money for my services because one of my, one of my stories was I shouldn't charge a lot of money for my services because I, I can't, I can't imagine not being able to like give everybody access to what I, what my knowledge is. And so one of the things that I've created and understanding that, and understanding really what I can bring to the world is that there are two different places in which I serve. One is serving clients, in your case, your patients, in such a way that you can be of best and most highest good to them. For me, it's having a level of my own self care and being able to nurture and nourish me as a being, as a leader, creating a business. I have to think about how am I going to be able to sustain beyond just the services side, how do I sustain my company so that it is able to grow and serve even more people more powerfully? And then there's another side of me that is able to be of service and create a service part of my business and design that piece where I'm serving from a place of like full give and I give a portion of my hours every single week to being able to serve in those capacities where I'm volunteering certain amounts of time. But I recognize that if I'm not at my fullest and my best self and taking care of myself, which costs money, then I can't necessarily take care of others in the most powerful way. So that's what I would say. What would you say to that, Sachin?
You know, I would echo what you just said and I think it's important for people to realize the value that they offer their community. And there's different ways to exchange energy. Right. Because money is a form of stored energy. That's really all it is. And maybe there's ways that you can leverage your community in different ways too. Right. It could be discounts. It could also be exclusive offers that you give to your community as a way of, you know, acknowledging them as being part of your tribe and group. You could also have, you know, have people within the community offer value as well if you have other business owners in there. So there's, there's so many ways that we could capture value from a community in addition to the, you know, the financial reward that comes along with it by providing a valuable service that people are happy to pay for. You know, so, yeah, just think of outside of the box ways that we can benefit. I know there's people who, who's, who have been part of my community that will send me free stuff. Right. I get free supplements sometimes. I don't even know where they come from all the time. In fact, I just got a box of products or probably like $300 worth of products and I had no idea who sent them to me. But this was somebody who was in my community that appreciated the value that I was offering. So, you know, you're going to get people that are wanting to reimburse you and compensate you or exchange energy with you. So I would say I would encourage people to think of outside the box ways that they can also, you know, create that energy exchange.
Absolutely. And I think that's, that's, thank you for sharing that because that is a part of what I, what I think of when I think of innovation is how do we create more wins. Right. We're going to be. And specifically I want you to pay attention to that. Communities are around specific goal or interest. Right. So in the interest space, it doesn't mean that your community necessarily has to be, let's say your name is Jane Smith. It doesn't have to. Your community doesn't have to be Jane Smith's functional practice office. Right. It could if it was just for your internal patients, but it doesn't have to be that. It could be around a specific topic that you're really passionate or you have an expertise around. Right. Let's say it's supporting those with autoimmune disease. Autoimmune diseases. Right. Or diabetes, for example. You can have a whole group around diabetes and grow a community around that and then begin to develop beyond, you know, develop collaborations and opportunities to serve those individuals within that free community. But still, because you're the host of the party, you're seen as the person that then is inviting everybody to the same table. And when people are interested in learning about, you know, your work, they're going to be coming to you to know more and wanting to be served by you because you've really provided all this already incredible value for them as part of this community. So, yeah, thank you for sharing that because that is a big part of designing community, for sure. So there. So in all of that there, I want to actually showcase to you five different. Prof. What I call profit paths. Okay. And these are, you know, looking at that vision that we spoke about and that innovation that you get to bring to the table, your beautiful voice that you get to bring to the room, and also the, your values. And we partner all of those. When I work with clients, I partner all of those, those might call it the three V's with what I call one of these paths. These paths that I'm going to show you in just a moment here are really, they outline ways in which to structure a community so that it does what it is that you want it to do. Right. So three of them are for, you know, in essence, client and patient generation. Right? So like if you're growing your, your practice and you really, really want to have more people coming to you for a specific area, just like diabetes or whatnot, then you'd want to use one of the first three that I'm going to show you. If you're having, if you want to have something that's more like small family vibe and it's with your private clients at this time, then you'll want to consider the fourth one I'll share with you. And if you want to have more of really utilize your larger community that you're living in, like your local, to help bring business to you, plus also you bring business to them, then you might want to consider the fifth one. So I just wanted to kind of throw that out there as we dive into this to kind of see what different options there are in building community. So this first one is called the Engage Community. Engage is really this, it is a long term relationship with you and your work, it's often expertise focused. So this would really apply to everyone here, and it would really support you in developing those relationships with people that might be interested in that topic of choice. I highly suggest with engaged communities that they are laser focused on a topic, whether it is supporting. Actually, one group that I'm working with right now is supporting African American women through the diabetes journey. Right? That's an actual community. I'm like, like living and breathing in right now and growing. And we're laser focused. Why? Because once you can get laser focused in your group, your group, your people will come to you. They'll be like, you're speaking exactly to me. Let's do this. Let's have this conversation.
What?
You know, I want more. How can I find more from you? Right? And this is fantastic too, for. For, you know, for each of you, for S Practitioners to offer your services on the back end of these communities. The goal here is to be present, to really be present with them, to be able to connect with them. And doesn't mean being present. Like every day you're on Facebook, like stuck on your computer. No, no, no. I want you to be doing your work, your body of work, and if you can carve out 15 minutes in the morning, 15 minutes afternoon to respond and connect with people, this would be the type of community that would be aligned for you. It's about nurturing those relationships, and that's really, really critical. The next type of community is called the endorsed community. Now, these communities are very similar, actually, to engaged communities that we just spoke about, but these are really for individuals that don't have their own product or their own services. So if you're promoting somebody else's programs, services, then this is kind of the same thing. But you already have an audience following you because of your voice, of your vision, the way you show up in the world. This endorsed community is really aligned for you. The third type, again, this is also for more lead generation, right, Is an excite community. These are my favorite. Personally. I love all of them equally. I feel like they're my children. But this one is fun because it's like they're small but mighty. What do I mean by that? We give them a taste test, little bit of a taste of the experience that you're giving them through this container of a community so that they get to build that know, like and trust with you as the person leading them through this journey. And then if they want more, they get to have a conversation with you about that next step. So A great model within the Excite Excite community build are challenges, right? Or workshops that really are hands on, more hands on experiential workshops where they get something of value from that short, short, small but mighty experience that then leads them into their next thing. And then we're going into now more of those family communities, your private community, right? So this is what I call the educate community. This is about deepening that relationship that you have with them. They already said yes, they've already given you money for a service, but you want to deepen that relationship with them. Maybe you want to invite them to their, you know, another level of understanding or growth within their possibility, or you want them to take a level two version of your program, right? This is where you're nurturing them through that initial piece of the conversation to then get to really invite them. And because you've been there with them and holding their hand and you're building. Oftentimes we've been building these communities in person, right? But now that we're not all on in person and we've expanded our ability to have clients all over the world, this type of community is one to really master because you are able to have them feel on the other end of it, feel really aligned with what it is you're building and want to continue to move forward with you. And then the final community is what I call an evangelized community. This is really the perfect picture for it, right? It's when people are just like, they see your brand and they can't help but want to tell the world about it. They want to cheer you on. They're so like, yes, this is it. That's where we want to get our communities to. Ultimately, all of us as business owners, we want to get to a place where we're really our customers, our clients, our patients are so lit up from the inside out and they cannot help but want to tell us, tell the world about us. And the local community that you're a part of can't wait to tell about you because you've served them. Maybe many of them are clients, right? This is your, what we call in, in the marketing or in the business world, your, your referral partners, your joint venture partners, right? These are people that you want to partner with. You want to really nurture those individuals. Many of them should be your clients. It shouldn't just be people that, that haven't worked with you. They should be your clients because they're the best testimonials for your work. Right? So how does this all Kind of come together. Well, this is a, Feel free to take a picture of this. You're more than welcome to take a picture of this. This is a process that, that we have adapted, adopted and we saw this value journey worksheet through our friends over at Digital Marketer and then we adopted it to bring it into our value process with our communities. And I just love it because it really does help you understand, helps me understand how to take somebody from where they are here. I call them lovingly, I call them Fred and Wilma. Look at them, they look kind of sad, don't they? They're kind of there me, they're kind of frumpy and they hear about us. They're here with us in this awareness phase because they heard us on a podcast. Maybe they saw a presentation that you had, maybe they read your article somewhere, they found some sort of connection point with you and they had that light bulb moment. They were like, oh, I need to know this person. And then you invite them into their next step. What is their next step? Their next step would be to get to know you, like you, and trust you even more right from the initial experience. So if you wanted to have an Engage or an endorsed community, that would be the perfect place to do that. It's that free, interest focused conversation around whatever topic feels really yes to you and aligned for you. And then we nurture that relationship with them over time. We invite them during that process. When we build our, when we build communities as a company, we actually connect this process and this process to one another so that the minute that someone joins an engaged community, for example, they're already subscribing into your email list, they're already connecting into your text marketing processes, right? Or your chat bot processes. And if you don't have all that, that's okay, I, we support that. But that, that is really, really powerful right here. Right? Like this is so important to connect those two. And the goal then is to convert them, to bring them into an opportunity where they are able to really feel seen by you, to feel heard by you, to feel safe around you and to feel honored and respected where they're at in their journey. And they want to know that you get them. Then if you're building an excite community, this is, this is another, this is one of those other front end places right where we go and we say, okay, we want to create that. So small but mighty win when you create that challenge. We want to create that workshop. And one little thing I want to share with you, I don't often share this, but I want to, I feel like the need to share this today is that oftentimes we, we send them right over into like a free challenge. One of the things that we've been testing with a lot of our communities is to send them to a paid experience. Now it's a small paid experience. It's like $7, maybe $27, but something on the front end that invites them into an investment to be a part of it and they take themselves more seriously. They actually do. When we do a challenge, we now charge a minimum of $7. And just that $7 difference is a psychological connection to, I'm investing in myself, what else can I choose to invest in? Further from there, we invite them into their offers and we have different offers at different levels, right. We have some that are lower priced offers all the way through higher priced programs and services in your, in your, in your practice. And then ultimately we see them here as evangelists. They're like, or I'm sorry, they're here, you know, the educate experience. They're experiencing you. They're building, continue to build that know like and trust and that and that connection because they're seeing the value of your work. And then ultimately they become an evangelist. They're like, wow, I can't, I can't wait to promote you with everybody. And they look, Fred and Wilma suddenly grew taller. They're dancing and they're on their way to continue to promote you. Right? That is the power of designing communities as a part of your business and a big part of why as a company, we call it, we say people first. Always remember people first and profits will follow. If you focus on the people first, the profits will start to show up because they can't help but want to be served by you and those that you recommend to them even that much more. So the goal here is always how do we turn that audience into community? And so, you know, going back to the slide, I added a few more. Don't forget that these here are where we start. We design our audiences in a way where we're starting to share what feels really. Yes. To us. What do we care about so deeply and build out our message on platforms like Clubhouse, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, podcasting, YouTube, whatever. You guys get to choose your, your, your, your platforms, right? And then you get them into that first part of the conversation that, that is critical and something I definitely love supporting my clients and my friends to do. Yeah, Sachin, so I do. That is, that's really the End of the presentation. I do have a gift for everybody if that's something of interest to them and to.
Yes, let's share that. Thank you. I love this framework, by the way. It really helps. I took a screenshot of it myself and I'm going to print it out and keep it on my desk to make sure that we are taking people from aware to engaged, getting them to subscribe, converting them right to. And then educating them and turning them into raving fans and evangelists and promoting what we do. I think that I can see a few steps that I'm missing. And we just recently posted a question in our community. What can we do to better serve you? And it was interesting to see some of the responses that we got. So I love this. I love frameworks. It just makes life so much easier for us to see if we're on the right path or not. So thank you for that.
My pleasure. It's my pleasure. And, you know, here's another gift for everybody. You know, I think one of the biggest problems that I see in building out that first conversation about, well, what would I even build my community around is not knowing what to say. Right. And so one of the things, if you're finding yourself in that place, number one, you're not alone. I'd say 98% of entrepreneurs have that same experience of clamming up and not knowing what to say. Who cares about what I even have to say? So my team and I actually made it simpler, a little bit more simple for you. Our goal is to support you here. And we've created these things called the 300 content prompts. And this is all about engaging your community. You can actually, if you don't, if you're, if you're at the place where you're ready to build out a community and build out your Facebook group and, you know, what you're excited about, this is going to be incredibly helpful for you. If you're at the place, if you're still, like, exploring how do I grow my audience and design that community or design my audience so that I'm speaking to them effectively, this is also going to be supportive for you. So when you go here to createcellimpact.com forward/content prompts and you sign up, you're going to get not only these 300 content prompts, which, if you wanted to do one a day for, you know, Monday through Friday, basically will take you through two years worth of content, but you'll also actually get a training video in there for what I, what I call the Win win wink Wink model. And it's basically a 10 day content process to really look at how you're designing out your content and you learn my system on how I do that and how I invite you to bring yourself into your leadership and your voice and how that can really support you in creating a beautiful audience and community for yourself.
Awesome. I shared the link in the chat, so go ahead and click on that. I actually just registered and I'm joining your community as we speak. So I'm filling out the questions to make sure I get approved. Thank you for this amazing offer. What can people expect by joining the community that you've created? I think it'll be a great way for us to learn in real time, in situ how you run your groups. But what can we expect being part of the Facebook group? I'd love to hear more about that.
Of course, what Sachin is mentioning is when you send, you know, choose to get the content prompts, you're going to also get invited into our Facebook group. The Facebook group itself is all, it's free, so join in. It's an engaged community. So kind of pull that curtain behind a little bit so you can see a little bit of what we talked about here and how that applies. But it is, it's one of our models, if you will, for how to do that. Now I want you to notice something if, when you go to the group, as of this recording, as of this training, we have something like almost 800 members. And we've been growing that community since August of 2020. I've been so busy growing everyone else's community that the cobbler didn't have shoes for 12 years. And so I started to do it for myself last year, which I hope that's not just me in this room, but one of the things that we've made a very intentional effort to do is to do it organically. And so I did that purposefully because I want to work with entrepreneurs and I want to work with, you know, each of you here that in a way that really is building from a place of organic knowing and from a place of like, how, how can we do this and still create a revenue stream for us? Through that group, we have created over 200 directly from the group. We've created over $200,000 in revenue into our business with only 700 something members. Right. So know that your community does not have to be massive, it does not have to be 32, 000 people. It literally could be 123, which is when we. Which is what we started with when I revert, we revamped this group. And a month after we said, okay, we're going to name this, grow and monetize your groups, and we're going to just lean in and get excited about this message, because that's when I was getting clear about my work. We did over $25,000 in revenue. I'm sorry, $45,000 in revenue that first month of designing it. So I want. I want to encourage that for each of us. I think it's something that we think, oh, but it's for that other person. That's definitely one of my biggest. Was one of my biggest blocks, if I could look back at my past. But it's not. It's for all of us. And my clients now are. I mean, I just got off a call with a client who had a community that was really just struggling to figure out her, like, their identity. They had 6,000 people because they had been growing it for a gazillion years, for about six years, but they didn't know what to do with it. In four months, they grew it from 6,000 to 10,000 with purpose, and they increased their sales revenue massively, you know, to the tune of, I think, $45,000 within four months. Right. So, yeah, it's doable. It's a doable thing, and I'm all about that. And I just wanted to give everyone my. Where they can find me if they want to connect. I'd be more than glad to connect further on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram. It's just my name. And you can email me as well. I'd be more than glad to set up a coffee, virtual coffee with each of you.
Wow. Super kind, very generous of you. I have to ask, what does your name mean?
Well, Marusha is from the Basque region of Spain. It is. It is where my dad is from, and it is Basque for Mary. The word Mary.
All right, well, you definitely live up to your namesake. How perfect. Awesome. So I'd love to. What I'm going to do is I'm going to end the Facebook live here. What I'd love to do now is take private questions from any of our community members that have joined us. Here, let me go ahead and turn that off. And I want to thank everyone on Facebook for joining us and for being part of our conversation. I hope you got tons of value out of this. Feel free to leverage the resource that Maruksha has shared with us now. I'd love to invite our members to feel free to unmute themselves and ask any questions that they have.
