Good morning. It's Satchen. Hope you're amazing. I am actually chaperoning my son's camping trip and I wanted to wake up, catch the sunrise this morning. And as I'm doing that, I want to share this beautiful view with you. So check this out. So we're at the lake, and we're at Camp Winona in Muskoka. And you can see this beautiful lake that I'm about to get my feet in here. And you can see the sun coming up, you can see the mist. It's truly a beautiful, magnificent scene. And it's almost like a painting. And I don't quite know if what you're seeing actually does this justice. So the reason I'm coming to you today is because I wanted to share with you how we can use sunlight and how you can use sunlight, all of us can use sunlight to help us feel more motivated and inspired and to help us feel more focused and also feel a much deeper sense of reward, which can increase our productivity, reduce our food cravings, and also, you know, get rid of addictive behaviors for many of us. So here's how that happens. First and foremost, we have to understand an important neurotransmitter that our brain makes called dopamine. Dopamine is what I lovingly call the get stuff done neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitter. It's responsible for literally getting us up out of our seats and taking action. It's also responsible for keeping us focused. And in addition to that, it's responsible for helping us feel a sense of reward when we finish the task that we laid out to accomplish. So without dopamine, we don't feel like doing stuff. We feel lazy in some ways. We. We don't feel focused, we feel scattered. And then we don't feel a sense of reward. So we will seek a reward, or, you know, we will seek pleasure seeking behaviors, or we will participate in pleasure seeking behaviors. So one way to increase dopamine is to actually get morning sunlight. When the morning sun rays hit the back of your retina, it signals to the body that it's time to wake up. It's time to be alert. It's time to go hunt, and it's also time to live your best life. So getting sunlight in the morning, 10, 15 minutes a day, even if you like checking your emails first thing in the morning, go check them outside when the sun is up. That's going to make a big difference and you're going to find you're much better focused and you're much better in tune, but you're also going to. Hey, welcome to my Facebook Live. My fellow chaperones. I was just telling them about dopamine and how sunlight affects our dopamine levels. This is Cynthia. You're gonna be famous now, Cynthia. Okay, good. All right. So one of the things that we do is we encourage our clients to get sunlight in the morning increases dopamine. Dopamine helps us feel a sense of reward, helps us feel a sense of accomplishment, and it reduces our cravings because especially cravings for things like sugar and fat, which are foods that increase our dopamine naturally. So if you want to stay focused, if you want to stay productive, if you want to get rid of cravings and you want to feel a sense of reward, so you're not constantly looking for pleasure seeking things to do, then get sunlight in the morning. So you can see there's a lot of commotion here behind me. The kids are up. We're having fun. Say, good morning, guys. And so I'm gonna get started to my. Get my day started. Hope you're having an amazing day. Get that dopamine, get that sunlight. Have a beautiful, beautiful rest of your day. Bye for now.
