How to instantly set your wellness services apart

Sachin Patel says wellness practitioners should stop competing on price and instead build a proprietary system from their own experience and client work. Create a clear, repeatable process of 5 to 12 steps covering basics like breathing, nutrition, and movement. A named system builds trust and makes you the obvious choice.

Do you want to know how to separate yourself from everyone else in the marketplace so that you're not selling based on price? Of course you do. I wish somebody had told me this a long time ago. So the way you separate yourself from everyone else is by creating your own unique process. Your own unique process is a culmination of your experience. It's a culmination of your education, and it's a culmination in many times of the things that you've done to help you get yourself healthy and well again. It's the things that you've done to help many other people get well. By putting that into a process that's proprietary to you, you're now able to offer people that process and sell based on that process and system that you have. Instead of selling based on your price and based on your title or based on a little box that that person has put you into as a functional medicine coach or functional medicine practitioner, or chiropractor, or naturopath or integrative pract, whatever the case may be. See, you can sell based on your title, but then you're just a commodity. If you sell based on your process or educate at least based on your process, people will be magnetized to that, and they won't be able to go somewhere else to get that process. You see, there's no amount of money that you could pay somebody in the traditional medical system to take them through our process. There's no amount of money you could pay the doctor down the street to take you through our process. We develop this process through our experience, through the education that I have, and through the unique abilities that I have. So now you've set yourself apart in a league of your own. Your process also creates trust because it's something that people are going to assume and rightfully so that it's proven. It's something that people are going to say, wow, there's an actual system here. This person must know what they're doing. This person must have experience in helping other people get well. So here's how you create your process. It's really simple. Build out your ideal program. Your ideal program may include all the things that you did, the process that you went through to get yourself well again, or the process that you've consistently taken your clients through. What are the foundational things that everyone needs to do in order to get well? So that might include things like proper breathing, balanced hormones, circadian rhythm. Right. Healthy nutrition, joyful movement, autonomic pairing. Right. What are the things that are unique to you and Your brand and your business. So when somebody hears it and sees it and has it explained to them, it it is absolutely clear to them that they're going to get well. It's absolutely clear to you if somebody follows this process and system that they're going to get well. And it's also unique to you, so that person can't go somewhere else. See, when we help people build their business, we have a proven proprietary 12 step process. Which means if you identify with that process and it makes sense to you that doing these things is going to be valuable to your business, you can't go somewhere else to get this process right? I wish you could, because then I would have hired that person to teach me. I had to learn through the school of hard knocks, through experience, and also through coaching several hundred practitioners to then develop this process. So it's unique to me, it's unique to my experiences and it helps people just like me solve a problem. So I don't sell based on price now. I sell based on how much you value the process itself and how much you can see yourself winning through the process. And there's nowhere else you can go. So my job now is to continue to educate you, to continue to nurture you until you're ready to make that decision. And that's the position I want you to put your clients in. Educate them about your process. Make it so crystal clear to them if they do these things that they're going to get well. Make it so crystal clear to them that you're the right person to help them and that you've gone through the same challenges that they have. And guess what? There's nowhere else that they're going to go. And even if they go somewhere else, they're always going to be thinking about you when that system that they went to didn't work for them. You see, there's no amount of money you could pay someone to go through my process. It's my process, it's my experience and it's unique to me. And yours is unique to you. So get clear on that process. Start writing it down, start identifying it, and guess what? You can change it, you can modify it, you can subtract things from it, you can add things to it, but start somewhere. It might start off as five steps, it might start off as 10. You can continue to modify it. It's your process. So make it very clear to people that you've got a system and a proven way to help them and you will become and stay the most obvious choice for them.
