MRP Living Light Q & A Oct 27, 2023

This is a transcript of a YouTube Q&A (MRP Living Light Q & A, Oct 27, 2023) led by Annalisa covering community gratitude shares and detailed practical guidance for the Metabolic Reset Program. Key points: program structure (loading days then release and later maintenance), daily routine recommendations (spray/drops at 7:00am, 2:00pm, 9:00pm), journaling and weigh-ins, hydration, intermittent fasting rules (16-hour fast / 8-hour eat window; meals ~5 hours apart; finish last meal ≥3 hours before bed; example windows 9–5, 10–6, 11–7), modest exercise emphasis (walking, rebounder), detox-supporting practices (sauna, dry brushing, lymphatic massage), supplement notes (Reishi timing, vitamin D uptake timeline), and community resources (tutorials, Facebook group videos).
Questions this video answers
7:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 9:00 PM (same intervals throughout the release phase; dose differs between loading days and release).
Aim for 16 hours fasting / 8 hours eating; keep meals about 5 hours apart; finish last meal at least 3 hours before bedtime. Example eating windows: 9–5, 10–6, 11–7.
The loading days are the first two days of taking the homeopathic drops/spray.
About 1–2 months for consistent improvement (variable by sun exposure and dose).
Typically around one-fourth to one-fifth of a bottle remains (so less than one full bottle used).

Hello. Hello, everyone. Happy Friday. Welcome, Annalisa. Welcome, Barb. Welcome, Terry. Welcome, Ed. Hello. Hello, everyone. Lovely to see your faces, whether it be picture or video format. I will take it. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Hi, Nadia. Lovely to have you and to start off the call, as always. I hope everyone's having a great start to their day, maybe morning, maybe afternoon, wherever it is that you're tuning in from. But I would love to start it off with some gratitude that you were able to experience as of today, maybe as of this week, maybe it's something that you're looking forward to this coming weekend. So feel free to unmute yourselves, raise your hand with the reaction buttons, or you can also unmute yourself or put it into the comments. So any and all, apply. I would love to hear what is relevant. What is coming up for everybody this week? Nothing relevant, looks like. Oh, okay, got it. Annalisa, put something in here. Grateful for completing a reset with my mom. Congratulations. That's amazing. Her blood sugar levels are normalizing. It's so exciting. It's so difficult sometimes to be, you know, let's say the leader or let's say, you know, the preacher in your own town or in your own city. It's so hard for sometimes family to follow action, and especially when you know what to do and you want them to, you know, to have better health, to have more vitality. But it's always a little bit harder to preach, too. So the fact that she was able to do the reset and, you know, stabilizing blood sugar levels, that's amazing. So congrats to her. Barb here is saying, have incorporated the rebounder into my routine, into or in a new way. Amazing. Back on track with vitamin D. That's essential. Especially right now as we're moving into, or at least in Canada, we're moving into less sunlight as we go into fall and into the winter here. So super important to keep up with vitamin D. And then synced my Renfo Scale. Amazing. I hope you're able to see all of those trends now. They graph it very beautifully and you can open it up. You can, you know, kind of set the parameters as to what months, maybe even weeks you wanted to compare it to. So you're going to have so much more insight having that app synced up. So I am sure you're gonna love it, bud. Need to actually look at the info the Renfo Skill Renfo Scale gives me. Yes, I know. It's information overload a little bit. Welcome, Olive. Lovely to see you here. It is a little Bit information overload. But take it easy, take it one step at a time. That information is not going anywhere. So maybe hone in on one metric, either a day or a week. And if you have any questions, I can definitely do my best to help out as well. Need to try the Oura ring on my finger again to see if I can wear it. Yes, comfortably so that you get the info. I believe. Aura. I forget what the timeline is. I don't. I'm not sure if you remember Annalisa, but there is a timeline in where you can actually exchange your ring if the size no longer fits. Because you know, people release weight, their body changes and a ring is kind of, you know, something that you can't make do if it's not fitting properly. So I would reach out to them just to see who knows if, if they're able to do it and you're going to be able to, to wear that ring comfortably, then of course that's going to be the best case scenario. So I would try that if you're open to it. If you wanted to go down that route, finishing the modules as well. Amazing. And then the thorn is need to develop a new walking routine and habit. Yes. So that's always a tough one, especially as the sunlight kind of escapes us and the winter months or cooler months roll around. But I find that finding a time of day, usually the morning, works really great. And having it kind of planted in your morning routine or wherever it is in your evening wind down routine, getting everything ready ahead of time so you can see the outfit, you can see the water or the mug or you know, whatever motivation you need to get you out the door, your shoes so that it takes all the decision making of that process. You can just put on your clothes and go. But we can definitely talk about it if you're, if you're open to it. I'm happy to find a time when that fits your routine and to make it more of a solid habit. So feel free to let us know. I'm going through just some of the gratitude that everybody is writing in here. So Nadia is saying, grateful to be home to clean out my closet and pantry this weekend. Way to go. Create some space, create some freshness in your life. There's lots and lots of exciting stuff coming your way through this journey through yourself and energetically. It's a really amazing time to, like we've mentioned in the past, declutter what is no longer in line with the life that you are creating for yourself or that you want for yourself. You know, your old identity or you know, maybe the identity that you're in transition with right now created this life with these things. And so now we're creating a new kind of reality. We're creating a new version of ourselves. It's not an overhaul, but it's a slow journey to kind of discovering what it is that we need to be surrounded by now, what is going to get us to the place that we want to go. So kudos to you. I know that could be very difficult to clean out a closet and a pantry, so way to go. That is such a brilliant step in the right direction. Terry is saying, my welcome box arrived yesterday and Kyron came in today. Woohoo. So you're getting ready to get started on this amazing journey. So keep me posted if you have any questions in terms of best practices to get started or anything that's coming up for you. But you're in for such an exciting ride and it's just around the corner, which is awesome. Barb is saying, I think it was only 30 days to exchange the ring. I believe it's. There's a difference. Let's see, we allow one return or exchange. Let's see. It doesn't say a timeline in what Annalisa linked here. I'm always under the impression you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. So if the worst case scenario happens, you email them and they say no, so be it. You tried. But I think that, I think there's always, I mean, they're all man made rules, human made rules, you know what I mean? When it comes to exchange or policies and stuff. So you never know until you try. I'm not guaranteeing anything. I do not work for Aura, but I'm giving what I kind of do. So I would email them and just say, you know, hey, I released a bunch of weight, my ring is kind of sliding off. Is there anything that we can do about that? And who knows? So later on it does say 30 days? Yeah, it does. I just put it in the chat. Got you. Thank you so much, Annalisa. Yeah, so do with that what you will. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help, but maybe they'll have some tips on how to make it fit better or maybe something that you can do or whatever have you. So I would definitely still recommend reaching out. Awesome. Thank you so much everyone, for the wins. Olive here is saying grateful. I feel better and better every day. Amazing, amazing news. In what ways have you been noticing that you've Been feeling better. If you're open to sharing, feel free to unmute. Feel free to type it in. I'd love to hear your voice.
Yes.
I just feel lighter every day. More clarity in my thinking. I think I like the discipline that I miss about myself. Just having that discipline to say no when I'm not really hungry, I'm just conditioned to eat. But I thought I'm, I'm not weak at all. I'm just thinking I like this. So I like this version of myself that I'm turning into. And yeah, so it's been very encouraging even for some other of my family to say, oh my God, you lost it in such a short period of time and said, you can have that too. So for me, I just feel better.
Oh, such beautiful news. Congratulations. Sending you so much love. And I'm so happy your friends and family are noticing because of course, you're doing all the work, you're seeing the transitions, you're making those, you know, choices every day to do things maybe different and, and sometimes it feels like it's like a thankless, you know, pursuit, especially towards the beginning. But then family and friends start to notice in like, wow, I'm, I'm really headed there, you know, other people, not only myself, are noticing. So congratulations. That's so, so awesome. And there's still so much excitement kind of around the corner as well, which is the best part of it. Welcome Kelly. Welcome Helen. Welcome Liz. Lovely to have you ladies on this call here as well. We are just sharing some gratitude. Feel free to unmute yourselves. Feel free to type it in if you're not in a space where you can speak freely. But we are sharing currently something it is that we're grateful for. So it could be as of today, it could be as of this week, could be something that we're really looking forward to this coming weekend. So feel free if any of you ladies feel called to share. I see Helen here wrote grateful to finally be here. I'm procrastinating and I would love to hear what you have to share today.
Good morning or good afternoon, I should say. I'm just grateful to be here. I, I've done a 12 step program in the past and I like what worked of that that is present here. And I have someone within my circle that has gone through your program that speaks about it quite freely. And I actually visited 10 years ago and it took me 10 years to round my way back, but I'm a little rounder, so I'm grateful to be here.
Well, you're in the right place, and we love having you here. And sometimes, you know, it's. It's the moment that needs to be right. It's your mindset about what it is that you're embarking on. And so I'm so grateful that you're here. It's, you know, better late than never. Even though I don't think you're late, I think you're right on time, in all honesty. So it's lovely to have you, and I'm so excited for you to go through the metabolic reset journey for yourself, and it's going to be such a fun ride. So grateful to have you. Helen, thank you for sharing. Awesome. I'm glad everyone decided to join. Worth everything. Yes, exactly. And what's cool about this program is kind of touching on what Olive shared as well, is that it does impact the people that we're around, you know, whether they want it or not, in a lot of ways, because they start noticing that you're, you know, eating different. They're starting to notice that you're showing up different, you're glowing different. Maybe your energy or your patience or, you know, whatever your good mood, they start to notice and they get curious about it. They're like, what, you know, what are you doing different? How are you showing up in this kind of way? And so it's really cool because people kind of remove the blocks that they have, and they're so enthralled with the results that they see of you that they're like, I don't even care what to do. I just want to be where you're at right now, which is so fun. So I love that your family is able to benefit and anybody, any loved ones that we have in our lives that we spend our time with, supposedly we are the byproducts of the five people we hang out with the most, and vice versa goes for them. So whoever is hanging around us is going to naturally, through osmosis, pick up some of the habits, mannerisms, you know, mindsets that we share with them. So it's really cool to be mindful of that, but also being mindful of who we're keeping around. You know, are the people that we are still, you know, largely interacting with, are they in line with the life that we're trying to create with ourselves? Do they have the same interests that I do, or, you know, you do, or whatever it is? Do they embark on activities that are growing them as people, or are they sometimes engaging in activities? We want to try to step away from a Little bit more. So it's not to say we need to, you know, cut any of these beautiful people in our lives. We get to thank them and we get to still continue to have a relationship. But sometimes the degree of that relationship can change. And that's okay as well, as long as it's, you know, centering yourself in what it is that you want to be surrounded by. Because everything we surround ourselves with has an impact on us in some way or another. Sometimes it could be neutral, but sometimes it could be in a direction as well. That's a little bit off topic for today, but for whatever reason, thought I would mention that because it is all health related and we are. Everything impacts health. You know, we are interacting constantly with different factors, different things, different feelings. So it's important to sometimes take a step back and as Olive mentioned, you know, take that pause. Am I on autopilot right now? Am I grabbing something out of routine or. Because this is the time that I usually eat, therefore I'm going to go and grab it, or am I going to listen to myself and say, well, you know, actually, I'm not actually hungry right now and I could wait another half hour or an hour or whatever.
Have you.
And the same method kind of applies to, you know, friendships or to anything that we do in life. And not to share too much, but for instance, my birthday this year, I, you know, friends and family and everybody gather and they get together and I'm making a conscious effort to drink less because that's something that doesn't serve me, you know, for an occasion from time to time. Yeah, we're all human. We enjoy a nice glass of champagne or a nice glass of wine with dinner. But that's something I don't want to have around me anymore as much because whatever you have around, you tend to interact with. So instead, for this birthday, I asked him, like nobody's, you know, needs to get me a gift by any stretch. If you were planning on bringing any sort of alcohol, I ask that you bring me a book instead. Bring me something that, you know, impacted your life or that formed you or that really made a difference. You learned something new. You know, books are very sentimental gifts. I think it's a commitment to give somebody a book. But nonetheless, you can make those switches, you can change rules when it comes to your life. People that love you will then listen to that because they understand your intention and they understand why you're doing this for yourself. And they themselves see a beautiful positive impact a lot of the time, too. That's not the goal of it, of course, but if that, you know, that's kind of the cherry on top. So all to say, you get to write the script of whatever it is that you want and the people that you surround yourself with. And now it's really about what script do I want to run off of? What is that? That beautiful script I get to live life with. So to that I open up the floor to any and all questions does not need to be what I just mentioned. It could be in relation to, of course, the metabolic reset. Getting started. I know Terri received her welcome kit and she is ready to get rocking. I know Helen as well is, you know, on the cusp of getting started too. So if you ladies have any questions on best practices, anything that's coming up for you, for anyone else who is in the middle of the journey, Liz is starting her journey as well. Sorry I didn't share your name there. So, you know, there's many people kind of starting in the same space or in the same process of this journey. So I'm happy to connect you all. I'm happy to answer questions. I would love to hear what's coming up for you, Helen.
Yeah, so here's what I want to ask. What does a day look like? The practice Better is certainly a very comprehensive and fulsome app and it has a lot. I think I have a tendency to maybe get overwhelmed by which should I be doing first, et cetera, et cetera, and then maybe walk away from it. So I just wanted to ask Alice, like when you get up in the morning, so you do this, you do this, and this is probably in some of the modules I haven't opened yet. But if you don't mind suggesting what does a day or day one look like?
Yes, awesome. I can definitely go ahead and answer that. So for day one and kind of towards the beginning of the program, I like to focus on the absolute basics because there's so many different floating parts of the program and a lot that you're getting used to. So be gentle with yourself. But the most important thing and something you want to get into a rhythm of is of course waking up shortly after getting up or immediately getting up out of bed, you're going to start taking your spray or drops. So people either receive spray or homeopathic drops to help them, you know, to support them during this program. So on the the first day of release, you're going to start taking 55 at 7am, 2pm and 9pm and those intervals are going to stay the same throughout the entirety of the release phase and the loading days. So the loading days are actually the first two days that you start taking the homeopathic drops or spray. But then speaking to release. So you're going to wake up, you know, ideally it's going to be around 6:37, somewhere around there, you're going to take your spray or your drops, you're going to go to the bathroom, you're going to do your business, you know, you know, go to the bathroom, weigh yourself, keep your clothes consistent. I would say whatever it is that you're wearing, either keep the pajamas consistent, if you're wearing jewelry, keep that consistent, you know, take it all off, whatever, whatever gives you that consistency. So then you can weigh yourself and then of course record that in the daily online journals. So there's two journals you're going to be interacting with throughout the 10 weeks. It's going to be the lifestyle journal and it's also going to be the, the food and mood journal. So I can send over a tutorial, I'm gonna post it in this chat here and to anybody that we've had a one on one, I send it in the additional resource doc so you have the link to it there. But I'm also going to post the tutorial in here very shortly. It's about a five minute tutorial. It kind of just shows you what you have to fill out or kind of the most major sections to focus in on because it allows me to support you that much. And there's quite a bit of different things going on in the journal so you don't have to pay attention to all of it. The tutorial kind of shows you the most efficient way to log your journal entries. So you're going to be logging your weight every day and then you're going to, in my opinion the best next thing would be to drink a glass of water, even two, I would say hydration first thing in the morning is going to be very, very important because you've been fasting all evening as you've been sleeping. So that's going to be great. And then you know, go about your, you know, whatever it is that you have as a morning routine we can tackle and put in an action plan to create, you know, even a 5, 10, 15 minute routine, whatever that looks like in the morning for you. What I tend to recommend for everybody to do is the night before when you're cooking dinner, create two meals so that you have lunch already taken care of the next day so you're not cooking twice. You are not, you know, cleaning up twice and all of that jazz. So every dinner make a double portion, because I find people don't tend to get bored of that, that meal after having it one other time, maybe the third time they start getting bored. So two portions. So then we're going to be incorporating, incorporating the intermittent fasting, so finding out what that window works for you. So it's really three main conditions we want you to stay aware of whenever it is that you're finding what that perfect intermittent fasting window looks like for you. So the three main conditions we want you to stay aware of is keeping your meals five hours apart as best as possible, having 16 hours of fasting, eight hours of an eating window, and then finishing your last meal at least three hours before bedtime. So couple of windows that work really well that satisfy all three of those conditions is doing 9 to 5, 10 to 6, or 11 to 7. And you can do the half hours too, whatever works for you. But I would steer clear of going past that 7pm Mark, because we're trying to aim for a bedtime around 10, 10, 30. For most people, that's the most optimal time to maximize on sleep, on growth hormones, on balancing your hormones, on making sure your ghrelin, your leptin, all of that is being balanced so that it actually helps to promote healthier weight release the following day. So you're going to be, of course, consuming your lunch, consuming your dinner. There's going to be a spray time in between. So that second spray or second drop window is going to be 2pm so again, five drops or five sprays at that 2pm Mark. And then in the evening, as you're kind of winding down, best practice, in my opinion, it's very difficult in this modern world, but best practice is eliminating electronics at least one hour before bedtime. That's really going to maximize your melatonin production. And it's going to also help to get a more restful, restorative sleep. It's actually also going to help to make you, of course, more alive and awake the next day. So 10pm, ideally 10, 10, 30, somewhere within that rang range. And then right before bed, taking that 9pm dose for the last time. So that's the one last thing to kind of stay mindful of and throughout the day, I would say if you're able to journal even once a day, you know, at the beginning of the day, if you wanted to go through all of yesterday or what I personally did going through the program was, you know, as I'm eating, I'M trying not to be on my phone. I'm trying to be present with my meal or taking some time to, to take a break, go outside. So take a picture, picture of the meal that it is that you ate. You can upload the picture directly into the journals as well if that's easier for you. Instead of writing kind of, you know, 4 ounces of chicken breast, 4 ounces of broccoli, 4 ounces of strawberries. You can also take a picture if that's easier for you. And there is a section to add images in each of that lunchtime dinner time window that you'll see in the journals. So that is the typical day, I would say the most important things to stay mindful of initially as you're starting out in the program. Of course, before getting started, getting comfortable with the approved food lists because I find that that creates kind of the biggest mental hurdle and cooking without fats. So choose maybe 3, 3 from each category that you know you like, that you know you can play with in different ways that you're maybe not going to get bored of for that first week. So three different types of protein, three different types of non free vegetables. I also recommend getting frozen non free vegetables of the organic kind because a lot of people run out or, you know, things go bad or you're experimenting with different things. And frozen vegetables are actually flash frozen at peak ripeness. So there's a lot of nutrient density in that and it's a great catch or it's a great fall in case you don't have anything fresh on hand. So getting comfortable choosing three from each category and then whatever unlimited or free vegetables you would like. So you can have those unlimited with each of your meals as well. Well, so cooking in broth also is going to be a little bit tastier than just water sauteing, I find. So grabbing some good organic broth, Pacific Foods makes a really good one. So for anybody who is animal protein based, they have beef, chicken, you know, they have those options for broth. Anybody who is more on the vegetarian side, they also have mushroom and they also have veggie broth. So you're covered in both ways. So I find that that makes it a little bit easier to kind of follow along. And I see Ed's comment here also taking a walk. So a walk in the morning as well is something that you want to slowly start to incorporate. While there is not a heavy emphasis on exercise in this program, it really is giving you that pause in life, that pause for your nervous system to just Heal to not focus on constantly fighting inflammation or repairing muscle tissue or whatever have you. It's really going to focus in on detox, toxifying and creating a calm internal environment. So while exercising is a fabulous stressor on the body, sometimes if we're not in the right nervous system to fully embrace it or to fully assimilate all that wonderful stress to push us to grow, sometimes it can send us over. So again, it's not that exercise is bad, but there's a lesser emphasis as you're going through the release phase since of course you are taking out those fats, you pausing those fats for a period of time.
Time.
So yeah, I would say getting comfortable with the journals, getting comfortable with a few different kinds from each category when it comes to the approved foods. Setting reminders in your phone to take the spray or to take the doses really, really helps to stay on top of it. And then drinking water, especially first thing in the morning. I hope that helps. I know that was a long answer but I saw you taking notes, notes, great note taking skills. Let me know if you want me to repeat anything, if anything was unclear. If you had any other questions.
No, that's great, thank you. I love the idea of being able to just take a picture of the food and log it that way so that like I know this morning I had something that wasn't showing up in the list. So yes, that was a good opportunity for me to go. Whatever, you know what I mean? So. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
Yeah, you're welcome. And I, I would say initially like whatever is creating a hurdle. Make it as easy as possible for yourself, work with yourself and if you ever needed ideas as to what that looks like, let me know because this is the stuff that I do and, and people share lots of tips and tricks so I like to share all of that as well. Whatever helps. So yeah, thank you, thank you for your questions and if anybody else has anything that you know, they wanted to, to ask on anything I've touched, touched, anything new coming up, I'm very happy to do so. I'm just going through the chat here to see what was coming through. Let's see. How long does it take to positively affect vitamin D with supplements? It's a great question. I want to say it's going to take probably around a month to two months. It's going to take a little while for that consistency to build up because it is fat soluble. So it's going to take a little while for your body to kind of build on that and to Store it into its fat stores. So I mean, the dose that you're going to need is going to differ depending on the amount of sunlight in that season or how much you're going outside, how much you're interacting. But there is a great app actually called D Minder that you get to kind of write in, you know, where, where from where you are located in the world, what your carnation is or you know, ancestrally where your, your family is from, how often you go outside. And so it'll send you remind as to how much sunlight to get and what times to get based on where you're located. So I can send a, what's it called, Reminder D Minder for that, if you will. So that's what the app is called, the Minder. And then above is where the tutorial for how to fill out the two journals that I mentioned kind of in a more efficient manner. And yes, thank you. 7:00am, 2:00pm, 9:00pm so those intervals are going to stay consistent when it comes to the spray or the drops time. So that never changes. The dose changes from the loading days to the release days. So that's the only difference. I'm laughing to myself. The rebounder first thing in the morning definitely helps with doing our business. Yes, it sure does. So does a cold shower actually, and so does a morning walk or if anybody enjoys some caffeine. That'll definitely help get things kick started for the day. But the rebounder is definitely one of the best options because it's, it's, it's using gravity, of course, to kind of pull down that lymph fluid. And throughout the course and you know, throughout the whole program, really, you want to focus on maximizing, detoxing, maximizing getting in a good sweat. So you're sweating out all those toxins, you're getting rid of whatever your body wants to get rid of. You're giving it that outlet. So rebounding is really great. Doing lymphatic massages are really great. We posted a video of that, I want to say about a month ago in the Facebook group for anybody that wants to check it out. Ed, have you had a chance to try it? I see you smiling. Oh, you're just muted.
I was just saying it was a great video. It's funny, it's only two minutes long, so you could fit it in just about anywhere.
Exactly, exactly. Yeah. I'm a huge fan of anything quick and super effective. And during this process it's good to even once a week, you know, do a two minute little massage on yourself. To kind of open up those lymph nodes, help out that drainage, keep properly hydrated. So rebounding is definitely amazing. Cold showers, like I mentioned as well, that's going to be really amazing. And dry brushing, like we've mentioned in the past. So, yeah, so those are all great ways to just feel your best as you're going through the program. Because your body is detoxifying a lot. It's releasing what is in your fat stores and anything that's stored inside of them. So as much as you can help to get that out, whether it be through a sauna, whether it be through an exercise, whether it be through proper hydration, you're going to be feeling so much better. Just as an aside, but of course, be gentle with yourself. Do it with grace. Focus on what matters. The food that you're consuming and the sleep, I would say, are the two most important parts. Here's my question. Can I take the spray when taking the thyroid medication? Oh, Annalisa, I believe. Yeah. So yeah, you can. I would say that, you know, if you wanted to try taking them apart maybe by half an hour initially or an hour and see how that works, but you will be able to take them just fine because it's a homeopathic spray. When do I take the Reishi mushroom capsules? So when it comes to Reishi, it can definitely have a slight energizing tendency. And it's not in the same way as coffee, because I know that, you know, some people did choose the King Coffee option when it comes to their program. So the Reishi capsules give you a bit of a surplus of energy. It's not in the same jittery way as coffee does. So I would tend to recommend to take them earlier in the day. So kind of the same times that you would have a coffee. So some people like to have it kind of in the morning, around 8am, 9am, some people like to have it around that noon, period, period. So initially, to start, I recommend taking one in the morning whenever it is that you wake up, you know, 8am, if that's when you kind of get started with your day, I would take one then. And then I would take another one around noon, maybe 1pm and then you can work your way up to doing two at both of those times. But I would start with doing one and notice how you feel, notice if you notice any differences, notice if maybe you're calmer or, you know, for those who have an aura ring, you can kind of see how your HRV is trending from day to day trying out these different habits as well, which is a good indicator of how your body is kind of communicating with itself or how. How well it's harmonized with your mind and your heart. And it kind of denotes this objective resilience that your body is in. So when that HRV is a higher number, then it denotes a higher resilience when it comes different stressors you come in contact with. So not anything super technical you need to all pay attention to. But for those who are curious to see if something is moving your health in the right direction, if your nervous system is, you know, switching into that parasympathetic state more often, then you will see a rise in your HRV score. So that's something we can cover in more detail for whoever is interested. But yeah, so. So Reishi is really amazing at immunomodulating and modulating your nervous system as well. So HRV is going to be one of those key metrics that can show you if things are moving while using that specific product. What are the three times of day you would suggest for the reset stuff? Wanted to write them down. Yeah. Okay, so I see Ed's comment here was for that Terry, you were mentioning. It was the spray, slash drops times that you were referencing, correct? Oh, you're just muted here.
Yeah, it was the drops or spray that you were speaking of. You went through it kind of quick and I didn't get to write. I've got the last one down.
Sorry. Yeah, my. My apologies. So, yeah, it is 7am, 2pm and 9pm, so that's going to stay consistent any single time you're taking the spray or the drops and then that tapers off. So you stop taking the spray and the drops when you move into the maintenance phase.
Okay.
Yeah.
Awesome.
How many bottles does it usually take to get to the maintenance phase, do you know?
Less than one. So you'll actually have some remaining by the end of the six weeks of the release phase.
Okay. Okay. Okay.
That's good to know. Thank you.
Yeah.
Yeah, you're welcome. There tends to be somewhere around, I want to say a fourth, maybe a fifth of the bottle left. So it's not going to be a huge amount, but there should be a little bit left over. Cool. Awesome. I see Helen's coming here. Sweat, never mind. Hot flashes. So those will taper down as you go through the program and quite quickly actually as well. So that's what I. That's what I've seen with a. Of women go through the program, especially experiencing more hot flashes or you Know, maybe premenopause, perimenopause in those stages really helps with a lot of their symptoms. Yep.
Oh, I'm actually, I just started. I'm not consistent with it, but hormone replacement therapy. So that's not going to interfere with anything else, is it?
No. So you can definitely go ahead and continue taking that. I would just say with. Work closely with your doctor in case there needs to be any modifications, like let them know that you are doing this program, that you are rebalancing your hormones and there might be some modifications. So I would just say work, work quick. Sorry, Intimately. With your doctor.
Yeah.
Where is the.
I'm sorry, I was just putting one other question in the chat. I'll just ask you since I since I'm open right now, but postco fatigue, I'm. I like. Anyway, 7am doesn't happen a lot. I hope that changes with this program. But in that case, would I get up at 7, take the drops and go crash again?
You could, you could do that. Your energy will change on this program. So that is, that will correct itself as we go through and we can talk about how to optimize energy as well and how to start to feel more energized in the morning to. So what you, you can do is two options. So you can wake up and you can take the drops or the spray at that 7am time. You can move it up an hour. So then it would move all the doses up an hour. So then it would be 8:00am, 3:00pm, 10:00pm sort of thing. So you can do that for the time being and then you can shift it back an hour earlier if you wanted to once you're feeling that energy kick in.
Okay. Yeah, it.
Awesome. Do lymph massage, dry brushing, after sauna or before shower. Yes, exactly. So that habit stacking content or tip of tying something together to what you're already doing. So then every time you're going to the shower you see your dry brush and you're like, okay, that's what I should be doing before I step into the shower. So there's no if, ands or buts. You've taken all the excuses away from your yourself, placed what you need right in front of you. And now it just takes the, you know, three to five minutes to do that action. So love that tip, Annalisa. And exactly it, it just really helps you to work with yourself. Something I stress pretty often or I, I should say emphasize pretty often is find, truly find what is creating that resistance for you. Any single habit that you want to do, you want to incorporate. You're like, I want this so bad, but I'm not doing it. You know, find out what that resistance is for you. Kind of ask yourself, okay, well, why is this important for me to include? What does this bring me? You know, what benefits do I have by including this habit? Is it really that important, or is this something else I'm telling myself, or, you know, whatever have you. So there's reasons why we want things, but then we don't go after the things that we want. So we want to find what that disconnect is in the between. So get curious with yourself. What is the main purpose of the spray? So the spray is really helpful with curbing cravings. So as you're going through, of course, the release phase, especially for anybody who's gone through it for the first time or does it on an annual basis, hasn't been a part of the program for a little bit, your body is going to crave that additional fat source initially, naturally, because that's a lot of different. That's a lot of calories. Your body is no longer consuming consuming, but it's receiving from its own fat stores. So you're not without. You're using a different form, the surplus that your body has. So the spray helps to curb that, that craving that comes on from your body saying, like, hey, you know, where are our fats? We've been used to this for so long. Where have they gone? And it allows them to start accessing your own fat stores. Number two, the spray is really great at balancing and rebalancing your HPH axis. So over periods of time, especially the backdrop of what's been the last couple of years, it's been a very intense, very stressful backdrop. People's cortisol, people's hormones have been imbalanced, to say the least. So what the spray does is it helps to kind of give you that boost from a homeopathic sense to start rebalancing your hormones.
So.
So two kind of main reasons as to why we like to use the spray in addition to the program. Of course, you can. Can do the program without the spray. It will be a little bit more challenging. It's not to say that it's not been done. I've definitely worked with certain clients that have not used the spray before and have had results. Would I say that it. It definitely is a great support and a great addition, and it can push you to achieving kind of more out of the program in. In with more ease? Yes. Therefore, I'm a proponent of it, but it's your life, it's your free will. You can do what you like. But those are the two main reasons when it comes to the spray. Yes. So a rebounder is a fancy way of saying a mini trampoline, in essence. I'm not too sure why it's called a rebounder, but kind of sounds a little cooler too. I'm not going to lie. So it really is just a mini trampoline. If your kids have one that's of quite good quality, you can use that as well. For anybody looking to slowly build up bone density as well, it's something that we're not emphasizing towards, kind of like that healing, releasing state, but something you want to keep in, in the back of your mind as you're in the maintenance is doing calf raises. So it's gentle enough so that you can do it during loading, you can do it during release. But we had a special guest come in. It was over a year ago now, and she was talking all about fitness and all about building bone density, building muscle, muscle mass. It would be actually cool to have that, have her circle back in and do another presentation. And actually, I have another comment on that in a moment. But she shared a really cool fact of, you know, even just doing simple calf raises. Just let, let's pretend these are feet. And raising your calves helps to build up bone density once your foot or the heel of your foot lands and hits the ground. So that's really good for anybody who has maybe hip problems, knee problems, they can't do that jumping motion, because that's going to be like the best. So even simply starting some calf raises can help build up bone density and we lose bone density over time in our lives. So it's a great way to kind of subtly keep that in. And again, thinking out loud here, it could be a great thing to do while you're brushing your teeth. You're not using your legs while you're brushing your teeth. So it can kind of be a fun way of stacking. So you're not creating extra time to do this. You're all, you're incorporating it into a routine that already exists. The other thing I was going to mention is a couple weeks ago we were doing breath work and, and a few of you voiced that or, you know, I said it as well. But we would love to have Sachin in on a Friday call to lead some breath work. So I planted the seed. He is fertilizing it. So it's happening. I haven't gotten the date as of yet, when that's going to be. I know that they're traveling actually right now, so he wasn't able to make it in on this Friday, but he's super excited. He would love to come to the community and do some breath work with everybody. So as soon as I find out what. Which Friday that's going to be, I'm going to make an announcement on it. I just wanted to let everybody know. So that is coming up. I'm super excited. I hope everyone is, too. So stay tuned. There's some fun things coming your way. What does the spray taste like? Honestly, that's such a difficult question to answer. I'm not too sure. It's so. It's so subjective. I feel like it's the same with cilantro. You know, some people love it, some people can't stand it. I. I personally find that it doesn't really have a taste. If anything, it just feels like. Like. Like a tincture. I don't know how else to describe that feeling. It just feels like something herbal, but nothing overpowering, nothing too intense. Like you don't even notice that it's there. You get used to it very quickly. Yeah. I don't know if anybody else has a comment on. On what they, you know, feel with the spray or what they taste with the spray. I. I can't put a finger on it, in all honesty. How is the program balancing our hormones? So through lots of the lifestyle that you're doing, through the foods that you're consuming, through the circadian rhythm, rhythm that you're regulating and the toxins that you're detoxifying. So in so many different. And the stress that you're decompressing from, so in so many ways, through those lifestyle factors. And that's what we really want to emphasize. Like, the spray helps, but it's the lifestyle that keeps the hormones balance. It's the lifestyle that imbalance the hormones in the first place. So really emphasize on the lifestyle.
The.
The spray is just kind of like a boost. It's something that you need to help you get. But once you've received that momentum, the spray comes off, and now you're, you know, the training wheels come off, let's say, and now you're riding the bike full throttle. So all of those habits and maintaining stress, really, that's going to be the biggest thing. Finding a good way to decompress from stress. Because stress is, in my philosophy, the root of everything. Because anytime the body is under discomfort or stress, that's when Things start, you know, going different and expressing differently. So making sure you identify your relationship with stress, finding ways to cope with it, understanding when it's time to let go, understanding when it's time to accept. So in many different ways, from a scientific perspective, when it comes to the food, because it's nutritionally dense, it's not inflammatory either on your system, it's antioxidant rich. So much is coming from the food and the lifestyle. But stress, I would say I can't stress enough how, how much stress we're constantly under and how unnecess it is. Sometimes it is a little necessary, but majority of the time it's not. So I would say in those ways it's kind of helping balance those hormones. Otherwise it would be a wet brush. Yes, I saw your comment, Ed. That's awesome. Just dry brushes here. We're fans of dry brushes.
He said to do it before the shower, otherwise it would be a wet brush if you did it after the shower.
Exactly. It reminds me of a joke, actually. It's going to be so lame, but I feel like sharing it, so why not? What do you call a fly without any wings? Feel free to type it in. Feel free to share it out.
This reminds me of those really tasteless jokes from third grade.
That would be precisely where I got it from.
Dad jokes. Yeah.
So for anybody that's super perplexed, it's called a walk.
Oh, okay.
Oh, no, I know it's terrible. But you know what? Sometimes you gotta laugh at a terrible joke and everything's gonna be okay. That kind of reminded me of the wet brush. So. So yeah, sorry for the dad joke here, but there's plenty more where that came from. I hope you guys are ready for it. So coming back to the comments here, I would love a bone density doc to speak. I'm fighting with my doc right now, who refuses to write me a requisition for getting a bone density test. Yeah, so this, this guest speaker that we had, she was more of a personal trainer with a fitness background. So I wouldn't say she's necessarily the specialist when it comes to bone density, but she had a lot of amazing exercises and tips and tricks. Tricks that you can do from any, any kind of level that you're starting from, which I thought was really cool and really accessible for a lot of people. So I can chat with Deepa to see if we can get her back on or, you know, maybe another trusted personal trainer that we've worked with in the past just to give you that Insight as to what to do post release or even post maintenance, how to start building up again. Like I mentioned that healthy muscle mass. So thanks for your interest in that. I will definitely, I'll definitely let our team team know. Or maybe there's a recording of the last time she was there. There definitely is. Where that recording is I would have to find. But I would prefer to have her come on again because it was a little bit of time ago. I want that information to be as relevant and as. As updated as possible. But yeah, if, if I can find that recording, it's better than, you know, nothing. So I will definitely share it in the, in the Facebook group and then potentially also if, if anybody wants in the metabolic reset chat in practice. Better. Yeah. Relatively tasteless. Spray under the tongue, no taste buds. Exactly. Yeah. So it's very neutral. I personally don't notice the taste again, but everybody is different. Some people think cilantro tastes like iron. I don't understand that. But I, I can respect it for some people. I personally can eat it by the bushels. I think it's amazing. So. So kind of comes down to that. The two sides of the coin. Can I sync my Galaxy Watch with the app? I want to say that. Wants to say Galaxy Galaxy Phone with the app. Are you referring to Practice Better Nadia.
Hi. This is actually with the Samsung, I have it linked with my watch and so I have a lot like my steps, my stress pattern, everything is on there. And I'm wondering is there a way to link this with the better app? I see you can link it the Fitbit and I think that the iPhone can be linked on, but I'm not sure with a Samsung.
Yeah, I unfortunately think that Samsung doesn't have an integration with. With Practice Better at time. Yeah, unfortunately it does have Fitbit. It does have your Apple Watch as well, but they haven't included Androids really. Nor have they included the Oura Ring, which we've been trying to suggest forever and ever. Omen at this point. So yeah, so that's. That's unfortunately why it's. It's not populating up there. It's not even giving you the option. But what some people do, because I know some people use like my fitness pal or they use, you know, they have a Renfo scale. They like to actually send me a print screen of that whole page whenever they upload it every day. So you're welcome to take a print screen of what that screen looks like for you so that I can have it in the journals and upload that. So we can. So I can have that information. We could talk about it. You know, we can troubleshoot wherever needed.
Okay.
No, that's great. Thank you.
My pleasure. Yes. And the RENFO scale measures bone mass, so, yeah, it would be cool to see. I personally haven't done this experiment myself, but for anybody that. That is curious and has a RENFO scale and wants to build up that bone density, I would say to, you know, pick a day, a random arbitrary day, and start doing that exercise when you're brushing your teeth, see if that changes. See if the bone mass changes. On your RENFO scale, you can see, like, even slight trends and graphs on it. I think it would be fun, you know, just to have that objective data to see whether or not it's working, and then it'll be also motivation for you to keep up with it if it is working, which is also great. So, yeah, Wait till you dig in. There's going to be lots of fun things to explore, Barb. So get ready for it. It's actually a good thing that, you know, you're out at this point, like, through the program and through all of it. I feel like you're able to appreciate those metrics so much more than maybe at the beginning where it was focusing on, of course, you know, getting into the program, you know, getting your bearings, finding that momentum, changing up the things that you're doing. Whereas now you're kind of like, I see the little optimization antenna come up, and you're like, how can I get, you know, to the next level? Which is so cool to see because you're able to. To really fully appreciate and be in it. So let us know how you're. How you're researching goes. Awesome, awesome questions, everyone. Anything else coming through? Anybody had an interesting experience that they weren't expecting, or maybe an interesting breakthrough, or maybe something that they never thought they would be into, and suddenly they're into it. For example, going through the program and prepping for it. On my end, I was like, oh, my gosh, how am I going to drink black coffee? Coffee, like said, no one ever. And. And I'm like, I hate the taste of black coffee. How am I going to get used to this? And then you go into this program and you're like, okay, I'm going to try it. What's the absolute worst that's going to happen? I'm not going to spontaneously combust. So I tried black coffee, and by God, I like black. Black coffee. It was the strangest experience. I never thought I would say that. In my entire life. But it just goes to show you what you think you know, sometimes, or what you think you like, time changes it, you know, and you come back, you retry something, and you're like, well, actually, this is better than what I was doing before. And I was so resistant or so hesitant to even try it, thinking and automatically assuming it's going to be bad. But it's actually even better than I could have expected. So I don't know if anybody's had some of those moments come up for themselves, either on the program or off of it, but I would love to hear. I see Terry's resonating.
I have to tell you, when I started at IBM, it was like 1980, and I was working with all men. And they would. One of them would go and get coffee in the morning, and he would take the orders. And all of the guys were like, black coffee, black coffee, black. And then I'm like, okay, I'm like, cream, and I need, like, this many sugars and this and that. Never forget, the team lead took me to side and he said, you got to start drinking black coal coffee. So I started drinking it. And you get used to it. I was into it.
You really do. And you realize you're like, I've been masking the taste of coffee with cream and sugar or milk or whatever fixins. Like, I'm not even enjoying the coffee. I'm doing it for so many other. It's a vehicle to get sugar in, basically. And once you kind of see it that way, you're like, okay. And then you try real coffee coffee or just plain coffee, and you're like, wow, this has a taste. You know, I can actually, you know, feel the different bodies and fruits and all of that. And I see, Helen, you had your hand up, too. You've had the same experience.
I know that when I had to, like, abide by. Mine was actually no caffeine. And I admit I never partook of that part of the program. It had to be decaf coffee, but I didn't do that. But in any. Any case, flavored coffee, it doesn't actually have anything in it, does it? Like, it's okay to have flavored coffee, to feel like you're treating yourself?
It's a good question, actually. I've never taken a look at flavored coffee before, but if you can send me maybe a brand or a couple brands that you're into, I can look into it. It depends on how they're achieving that flavor, because if they're using, like, natural Flavors or artificial flavors, we technically don't really know what that is. And there's no guidelines, guidelines as to what you actually have to admit that you're using for these natural slash artificial flavors. So I'd say if there's like a vanilla bean extract in it, that would be something that would be fine because they're, you know, it's identifying where that source is coming from versus just like the natural artificial stuff. So if you have some brands that you're thinking about or you have in mind, send them my way. I can check them out and I can like, you know, I can tell.
You here, second cup is like my go to. But, you know, we, we normally buy just plain beans, but just as you were talking there. Black coffee. Black coffee. I'm like, yeah, but it would have to be caramel or. Yeah, you know, I don't, I don't know what makes it caramel. So it would be interesting to find out. I'll ask them and, or I'll Google it and just see. But I'll share it back if I find it first.
Yeah, thank you. I would love to know. Just, you know, that's a great question that actually hasn't come up to date for me, so I would love to know, even just for future reference. Yeah, and even, you know, even some clean brands, like Barb is saying here, even Designs for Health has natural flavors. So you have to analyze the whole picture, I guess, when it comes to these kind of things, you know, seeing that second cup, what their mission is, you know, how they, what, what kind of foods they serve, what intention do they take when it comes to curating a meal, meal curating a menu or whatever have you. Whereas Designs for Health, while they do use natural flavors from time to time, their philosophy is we're putting in the absolute basics, like we're putting in the absolute highest quality and what needs to be inside this, this supplement or this product for it to work optimally. And so their philosophy is very, very clean. They don't use any sort of fillers. They take the, the, the, the highest quality ingredients that they can find. And so while no brand is going to be perfect, you have to kind of look at the approach a brand takes when it comes to creating their products and creating their services, services too. You know, anything, any and all things. So, yeah, it's not the best thing to include, but it's also sometimes unavoidable too. So we got to pick our battles. But I like to present any and all information that I think is relative. So that you can then make your informed decision, whatever that is for you. So that's my thoughts personally.
Thanks.
My pleasure. Still new to the program, but is coffee important to the program goals? No. So if you're somebody that doesn't enjoy caffeine, if you don't like, you know, caffeinated teas, caffeinated coffees, you do not need to adhere to any of that throughout this program.
Okay, cool. Yeah.
Awesome.
Yeah, I got off of it. I had to go up. I went off of it because I did. I used to do juice fasts with a bunch of gals at a spa that was up in the mountains near where I used to live. And they told us the first time before you come, if you drink coffee, we don't serve coffee here, you know, for you to fast. You fasting juice fast. But they said go off of it like three days before because the headaches can be really horrifying, you know. So I did. I went off of it and I. It was like I had my head in a vice. I wanted to just die for, like three days. And then it went away and I had a great fast. But I thought, how can I go back to that?
That's insane.
There's no way I'm going through that ever again. Like, suppose I can't get coffee one day, is that's going to happen to me?
I was like.
So I was like, okay, I'm done. And that was like 20 years ago. Whatever.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
I'm glad. I mean, I'm not glad that you had that experience, but I'm glad that it imprinted on you so much where you're like, never again. I'm not accepting that to be my reality no more. And it's. It's kind of crazy, you know, I didn't have the same experience, but, um, I realized after dropping coffee how much more energy I had. And I was. I was so much more energized than ever being on coffee. And it was the weirdest experience because it's the opposite of what you think. But it's kind of just a band aid solution in a lot of ways for people. It's not the same for everyone, of course, but it can be, for it was for me. And I guess that that's what that showed me. And it was a little bit for you too, by the sounds of it. The coffee was wreaking havoc. But our body are so beautifully adaptable that they're like, we can take it. Don't worry. Until they can't anymore. And then they start yelling at us.
But no withdrawal at all. Or maybe were you having it every day?
I was having it every day. And I did have withdrawals for the first couple of days, yes. So the first few days, my headache. My headaches were horrible. Same thing as you. My mood was dysregulated because I didn't have that fix, you know, I didn't have the routine that I've always known to have. So my body was upset with me for that. But it soon got over it and it was better than anything I've experienced before or during coffee when it came to the energy component.
Cool.
It just happens. With any sort of withdrawals, your body goes through that period of, you know, saying, you know, we've been receiving this caffeine source consistently for years. Where is that? We've learned to adapt with it. We've learned to use it and plug it in the different ways, ways. Now these systems aren't working because this caffeine isn't here. But they weren't necessarily working properly or optimally. They were, you know, creating whatever, whatever they were creating in our bodies. But yeah, our bodies are beautifully adaptive and they're constantly keeping us alive and they will constantly do what they can for us to, to live and, and thrive as best as possible. And sometimes it's nice to take a moment to give back to them too and listen to it when it's. When it wants to be heard. So I see here that we're at the top of the hour. I actually have to run. I have a call. I didn't even realize we were over time here. Just enjoying my time with you all so much. So thank you everyone for joining today. Have a beautiful Friday. Take care. Have an amazing weekend. Let me know if you have any questions on starting. And I'm so excited to have all of our new members start again. Thank you, everyone. See you next week. Take care. Bye.
