Sachin Patel (speaker) argues that the best way to learn and retain new knowledge is to teach others. He recommends using varied continuing-education channels (podcasts, books, YouTube, etc.) beyond formal CME and urges listeners not to let ongoing learning prevent them from helping people.
Yeah. And here's the thing. The best way to actually learn is to teach others, right? So, you know, whatever you're learning, whatever new knowledge you're picking up, the best way to retain it is to teach it to other people. So I would say if you're not doing that, you're definitely underutilizing what, you know, continuing education and continued knowledge and growth has to offer you. And CME is like a small box when it comes to growth. Like, you could be listening to podcasts, you could be reading books, you could be, you know, downloading YouTube videos and watching those. So there's lots of ways that we can continue to sharpen our skill set, but never let that hold you back from helping people.
