This is the season of letting go… with Sachin and Dipa Patel

Short YouTube conversation (Sachin and Dipa Patel) filmed at Riverwood Conservancy in Mississauga. The speakers use the autumn season and a nearby oak tree as a metaphor for letting go—encouraging inward reflection, reallocating time/energy/money, and trusting renewal in spring. The clip opens with scene-setting, moves into reflection, and closes with well-wishes.

Hey, friends, it's Achin.
Hi, it's Deepa.
We're coming to you today from one of our favorite spots in Riverwood Conservancy, which is just by our house in Mississauga. And we've got this beautiful view. So let me first share the view with you. So you can see we just climbed up this makeshift staircase that somebody had the foresight to put down probably 50 or 60 years ago. And we're immersing ourselves in nature in front of this beautiful, beautiful tree here. It's oak tree. And here we are just off the beaten trail, and Deepa and I were having a discussion and a conversation, enjoying the beauty, but also enjoying the season, which is one of my favorite seasons, and that is autumn or fall, as some people might call it. And this is an important time where nature reminds us about the importance of letting go. Now, letting go is so critical, and nature is our constant reminder of seasonality. Right? There's a time to grow, there's a time to bear fruit, and then there is a time to let go. And this is that time in nature where pretty soon here you're going to see these beautiful green leaves, and you can see some already are changing colors. Over there you can capture some of that yellow and gold and orange. And the season is starting to change. Now, pretty soon, the leaves which have served these trees for this entire season are going to change colors and they're going to show, perhaps, let's say, their true colors, and they're going to fall off. If the tree tried to keep the leaves on during winter, the tree would probably die. And so this is a great metaphor for this season in our lives where it might feel like letting go is the right thing to do. And sometimes we have to let go of the things that served us in that season and trust that in the spring that new leaves will grow and pay attention to the fact that those leaves will grow from the inside. So this is our time to let go. This is our time to go inwards and reallocate our resources of time, energy, effort, and money and then trust the process that there will be a spring. So after every winter comes a spring. And this might feel like letting go of friends. It might feel like letting go of seeming opportunities. It might be letting go of material things that not only do you possess, but possess you. It could be a variety of different things, and we just thought we would share that. Do you want to add anything to that?
Yeah, I mean, I think, as Sachin said, the. The fall is a great time to also reflect on the year. Right. It's almost just a quarter of the year left, so reflect on the year. What's been serving you, what's as. As we had talked about, what you need to let go of. So it's a great time for you to kind of sit back and reflect on the year. You know, for many of us, we've had busy summers, so good time to reflect right now.
Yeah. So we'll leave you with that. We'll get back to this beautiful scene that we're in, give you one last view and feels like you're sitting here with us, I hope. And here's to your ultimate best life, your ultimate best health and your true happiness and wholeness. We'll talk to you all soon. Bye for now.
Bye.
