Hello. Hello everyone. Welcome. Hi Beverly. Happy Friday. Hi Deepa. Hi Claude. Hi Barb. Hi Annalisa. Hi Elisa. And hi Denise. Happy Friday everyone. And happy almost fall. Tomorrow is actually the first day of fall. It definitely doesn't feel like it weather wise, but might as well say it today since we are all on this call. Lovely to see everybody joining in, turning on their cameras. Love to see your beautiful faces. So as everybody is joining in here shortly, I would love to start it off with some gratitude. Surprise, surprise. So I would love to share anything that you found to be maybe something new that you've tried, maybe something that you've been really consistent with, what is maybe a new mindset shift you've realized or that you've been trying to practice the last week or maybe the last month or so. Maybe you noticed just a different change in terms of the way that you're approaching situations. Whatever that realization, whatever that lesson has been for you, I would love to share some gratitude. So feel free to unmute yourselves. I love hearing your voices, I love seeing your faces if you are unable to. Would love to read your comments in the chat below. Happy Friday everyone. Hi Ed. Welcome, welcome. Lovely to see you. Hope everybody is having a great start to their Friday. Awesome. So as everybody is tuning in here, I guess I'll go first. So I am really enjoying going on runs and especially in really densely forested areas. It's something that I've started to pick up a little bit more consistently, which I'm hoping to keep into the winter. That might be a long shot, but it's beautiful right now with the change of seasons and as it starts to get a little bit cooler, it's nicer to stay out and get some beautiful sunshine too. So that is something that I've kind of picked up since childhood. So it's something I used to do as a form of meditation and you know, it's kind of a great way to, to process emotions by having that state. It's not running for everyone, but it is for me. So it's beautiful when you can kind of hybridize the two and you really might surprise yourself at what you enjoy. Maybe something you didn't enjoy in the past is something that you're gravitating more towards now. So not completely writing off things that maybe you've tried in the past too. Beverly is saying, I've had a relatively pain free week. Amazing. I don't know why, but I'm grateful for whatever I can get. I hope come to, you know, the awareness as to Why I would love to create more weeks where you're pain free. Did you change up anything that you were consuming? Did you rest a little bit more? Have you been maybe something that lifted your mood recently? Have you exhausted all those questions?
Yeah, the only thing I can thing I've changed is that I've been drinking more caffeine lately and that's not necessarily something I want to be doing but it's the only thing I can, I can think of that's I've been doing lately that would change things up.
Very interesting. Is it caffeine? Is it kind of like regular caffeine or is there something added into it, maybe like a ratio.
It's coffee and I have, I keep both caffeinated and decaf around and I usually drink decaf but if I need to go somewhere sometimes I can drink some caffeine and it'll relieve my headache and then I can go.
Very interesting. I wonder if it is caffeine related but it would be fun to kind of experiment and see maybe if another week you were also using caffeinated coffee and if the pain was there or not and vice versa. So keep us posted. Awesome. Thank you for sharing. Deepa is saying I'm really enjoying my consistent gym practice and yoga practice. Awesome, awesome. It's a great way to move your body and in different forms too. It's nice to go to a gym and or you know, play sports, whatever have you and use more weight centered workouts or body resistant workouts to start building up that healthy muscle mass. Also incorporating rest days, stretch days, the. Those are super important too. So it's not really about, you know, constantly working yourself or creating such a massive sweat. It's really about listening to your body, seeing what kind of movement it needs for that specific day and being, being able to ebb and flow. So that's awesome. Thank you for sharing. Deepa, Barb is just coming back from a qigong class. That's so awesome. I know you've been going for quite a little while now. I, I believe you said seven or eight months, so that's awesome. I hope that you know one day we can join you in one of the. I know I've been kind of seeding that in for a couple of weeks here because I'm super curious. But if you're open to it, I'm very open to it as well. Maybe somebody else from the community would enjoy it too. So thanks for sharing. Barb. Claude is saying I'm enjoying working from home now. Amazing. Yeah, I can See your little cat kind of moving around in the background. It must be nice to have some. Some furry friends throughout the day and to not be in the office. I know every other call we've done, you've been in the office. So it's nice to have some rest time at home, too. Ed is saying, I'm grateful for the bison filet mignon. In Charlotte. In Charlotte last Saturday. That sounds divine. Enjoy. Enjoy. Ed, so you were in Charlotte recently. What were you out there doing?
It was all work, no play. But.
Well, sounds like you got a good meal out of it.
Yeah, one good meal, actually. There is a lot of great restaurants there. I had two other good meals while I was in town, but I didn't want to list out my entire menu. So I was really off the program for two days. I told this to Anna in a separate chat, but I was really off the program for two days and no change in weight whatsoever, which was really good news. So maybe I should be grateful for that because I overate. I ate things I shouldn't have been eating, and there was no change.
Yes. That is amazing. And that's such a huge win to physically see that your body isn't being affected in the same way or it's able to mitigate. Let's say foods that were possibly giving you inflammation or more retention in the past are kind of subsiding now because your body has been able to really optimize that inflammatory pathway. So it's sometimes, you know, nice to have a little bit of that reference point to eat something off plan to, you know, maybe, you know, not purposely, let's say, but let's say you're in an event or you're in a pinch and that opportunity comes up. It's great awareness to have to know how your body reacts to these foods and even be able to compare to where you were previously. So I'm grateful that you had that experience and that, you know, you can see how much your body is healed through it.
I always wonder if I'm going to make you and the other coaches cringe when I say stuff, but I got to tell you, along with that meal came sorbet for dessert. And there was three scoops of sorbet the size of a tennis ball. It was so much, I couldn't even finish it. But I haven't had any sugar in forever, and there was no reaction to that whatsoever. I was. I was shocked.
Wow. So wow. Yeah. That's amazing.
No physical or no headache, no nothing. And no weight gain. So I was really happy with that.
Mm, that's beautiful. Yeah. Thank you for sharing. And it just goes to show you, you can have certain things in moderation. It really comes down to creating, you know, health 80 to 85 to, you know, 90 if you can push it percent of the time. But that 10%, 15%, you can give yourself a buffer to experiment, you know, a buffer to be human, to, you know, do things that are sometimes off plan. And that's okay. The most important thing is, is that you have the tools to get right back on as soon as you have that chance. And that's, that's really what post program life looks like. It's not going to be cookie cutter perfect and that's okay, but you find a flow that works for you and you learn so about yourself through these little events that you get to experience. So thanks for sharing. And for anybody else, you know, who is hesitant or you know, sees these as derailments or mistakes, I really, really encourage you to look at them differently. To look at it as very much of a learning experience. Asking yourself different questions, reflecting on, you know, what is it that I currently want for myself? What is an intention? What is a con. Common theme. Let's say that I'm bringing into everything that I do because it really start with that mindset piece. So getting curious with yourself as always. No judgment here. It's just what can I learn about myself today and my relationships with different things in the outside world. Beverly is saying I've also been avoiding coffee since starting this program and weaning off of my amaz. Sorry, I'm not going to pronounce this right. Got you. Thanks. Deep up. So the acid in the coffee has done a number on my stomach so I usually put some kinds of butter like half or buffers, something like half and a half or coconut milk. But my daughter in law likes. My daughter in law has been making coffee and the smell makes me want some. So I've been testing it black with little discomfort. That's great. You know, black coffee tends to get a bad rep. People don't like the taste of coffee or they're just not used to it without, you know, the, the added fillers that usually like to put in, myself included. But if you get a really good high quality coffee, it actually can taste really great. And for anybody who enjoys, let's say the act of creating a coffee or having kind of a warming drink in the morning, there's this really great brand. We talked about it a couple weeks back, but dandy blunt. So it's completely caffeine free. And it's a really great addition to your coffee as well. It's actually something that I add into my Reishi King coffee every single day. I have it with me here right now. And it just adds a very nice, subtle kind of coffee like taste to your drink. But again, it's completely caffeine free and so. And it's. It's filled with a lot of great healthy starches. So there's barley inside of it. It's all gluten free. So the way that they extract it is completely gluten free. So you're getting additional medicinal benefits. Of course, dandelion root is in there as well, I believe Chikaroy. So it's a great way to kind of boost up your coffee without any that added caffeine or the jitteriness. I know Beverly tried the Dandy blend or I remember you mentioning you purchased the Dandy blend. Have you been able to try it out?
No, I haven't. I kind of forgot about it and so I saw it the other day and I'm going, I should really try this. But I haven't yet.
Maybe this weekend will be a good time as fall rolls in. Awesome. Let us know how you enjoy it. And yeah, just like Deepa mentioned. So the Reishi coffee, it doesn't have that same acidic effect or at least I've noticed or I have not noticed that on on myself. I've been drinking it for years now. But I remember initially switching over from regular coffee. I used to get very jittery. I used to get a little bit of that anxiousness after drinking coffee. And after this King Coffee with the Reishi infusion inside of it, it really mitigates all the jitters. It's actually immunom, so it's able to calm the nervous system while also giving you that that low dose of caffeine. So you're boosting your energy for the day too. And it also is really great at fighting inflammation like Deepa mentioned too. So amongst a slew of other things, that's a whole rabbit hole we can dive into. But for anybody that wants to learn more about Reishi or even just different medicinal mushrooms, there's a really amazing module that you all have in your practice. Better course. I know Deepa went through it last week or just kind of showing you a tut of how to access those. For whoever doesn't know how to access those or has trouble finding it, please let me know. I can always walk you through it. And it's in the replay from last week as well, if you wanted to tune in. So wanted to open up the floor to see if there's any questions for anybody on their program journey thus far prior to beginning, maybe something post program you've noticed. Any and all questions are welcome. There is no stupid question, really. This is important to give you clarity, to make sure that you're feeling, feeling supported and that you're able to create health in a way that's fun, in a way that's realistic. Every single day at home. I had a bit of a topic. Nothing too, too wild and crazy for today, but more so on the kind of seasonalities of life as we're transitioning into the fall season and what that kind of means symbolically and maybe a new perspective, a new mindset, a new energy to bring into this upcoming season. But first and foremost, before we dive into that, because I can definitely ramble, I would love to answer any sort of questions or comments or realizations that came up for anybody. No questions as of right now, which is great. Sometimes no news is good news. So in that case I will begin to ramble off. So just to kind of mention and maybe a new perspective to take into this coming season as we transition into fall tomorrow. So there are seasonalities to, of course, Earth and towards, you know, nature and its natural cycles, but there's also seasonalities very much so reflected in human nature. So what we're doing, let's say, in the summer is not what we're expected to do in the winter. Reason being, conditions are completely different. There's different, different variables involved. There's different amounts of sunlight, there's different amounts of temperature, there's different amounts of, you know, people and things and, and, and so many things change from season to season that make us dress differently, that make us, you know, maybe engage in different activities, eat different foods. So with all that change, we're not necessarily expected to produce or be the exact same person moving through all these seasons, just such as nature, you know, nature continue to bloom and grow in the winter. The winter really takes time to settle down. It takes time to be still. It takes time to nourish, to rest, to prepare for the upcoming seasons. And without this really important portion or this really important season, the rest of the seasons wouldn't have the same flow to them if they didn't have this preparatory phase. And so what really fall symbolizes is harvest. It's very much an abundant time where the seeds that you've sown, the efforts that you've poured in into your plants, into your goals, into your intentions. The planning you've done in winter, the sowing you've done in spring, the nurturing you've done in the summer is now bringing the abundance that you can reap in the fall. And so while fall is a very abundant period, it's a very cozy period. It's also a really great period to think about. Letting go. Fall is really letting go of what is no longer serving it. You know, it's. It's adapting to the difference in sunlight, it's adapting to the cooler temperatures, just as we are constantly adapting to the different stressors and the different demands that we have in our everyday life. And sometimes we get caught in the cycle of autopilot of this is just the way it's always been. This is a task I've always done. This is something I have to do. But I prompt you to check in with yourself and ask. Ask is this aligned with who I am now? I've gone through, you know, a transformation. I've upgraded my mindset. I'm starting to view things differently. Is this still in line with the person that I'm growing into that I'm. I'm constantly learning from? And it's okay to check in with yourself. It's okay to take things that let's say were fundamentally you, you or something that you identified with and switched it up a little bit just to incorporate, you know, another facet that you're into and explore this whole other side. And so fall really gives you that opportunity to kind of do an internal, let's say, declutter and an external declutter, if you so wish. So it's really about reflecting back to what is no longer serving me. What can I let go of? What. And there it's nothing in terms of a bad connotation, let's say. It's really something that you want to give thanks to. So let's say, you know, drinking caffeine is something that you wanted to kick for this coming year or for this coming season and whatever have you. It's not to villainize caffeine and say, my gosh, I can't believe I've drank it for this long and it's done, you know, X, Y and Z. It's really about, this is what I needed at that time. This satisfied what I was looking for. It no longer satisfies what I'm looking for now. And that's okay. I'm going to think it. It's in the past, it served its purpose. I'm Moving on to, let's say dandy blend or let's say being more of a tea person or whatever have you. You so kind of wanted to do a quick exercise and do a breakout room with everyone, if you're all open to it, to really, really solidify that question of what are we ready to let go of? And I really challenge you to ask this question, let's say internally and let's say externally too. So get as creative as you can. These could be physical objects you're ready to let go of. Let's say old clothes, those that you're keeping as a backup or as a just in case I get back to this weight or, you know, these certain foods of just in case I run out of time. Well, it, you know, while it's good to have a couple of catch alls or a couple of easy solutions, you also need to commit to the life that you're creating and let go of those catch alls that are no longer in service of you creating your best self. And so I challenge you to really, you know, think outside the box for this question. Do internal work, but also external work and to see what it is truly that you're ready to let go of for this coming season. So we're gonna do a quick breakout room. I'm gonna give everybody a couple of minutes right now, maybe two minutes. So if you wanted to grab a pen, if you wanted to grab a piece of paper, and for one to two minutes, maybe we can do, you know, three minutes. Because I'm giving you a couple of different topics to hit on and reflect on. So a few minutes to go into what is it that I am ready to let for this coming season. I'm going to find some music to play here. Awesome. Just one or two more minutes here. And then what we're going to do is we're going to get you all into groups of two. Two. And so we're going to. Person B. So when you get into. Oh, sorry. What's going on, Beverly?
I. I suddenly. Your voice dropped off.
Can you hear you now?
I can hear you. Yeah. When you got closer to the screen, I could hear you. But when you. It's weird.
Oh, strange. I don't know what's going on with my audio today. I apologize. I hope it's good now.
Now.
So everybody give me a thumbs up. Okay, good, good. I can see it's working now. Awesome. So we're going to get into a breakout room. So we're going to do person A and person B. So person A is first going to share what they are ready to let go of. After they're finished sharing, person B is going to reflect that back onto them. And then once person B is done reflecting, person B is then going to share any sort of insights that they're willing to let go of of. Person A is going to receive reflected back to person B. And then we're all going to meet here. And I would love to see if there was any commonalities, any. Any general themes, let's say, that came up, or maybe something really new and unique for everybody. I would just kind of love to see, you know, what we're all collectively ready and willing to let go of. So I'm going to get you guys all started here. I'm going to make some breakout rooms really quickly, and then we're going to break out for approximately five minutes, and then we're going to come back into this main room. Bear with me here. Okay, almost done here. Beautiful. So all the rooms have been opened. You've all been assigned to a random room, so feel free to join that now. The prompt should be there, and then we will be back here in approximately four to five minutes. Do you have the button on your screen, Ed? Oh, perfect. It.
Better.
Welcome back, everyone. Hello. Hello. Hope we all had some interesting conversations, maybe some connection points too. So thank you all for participating in the exercise. I hope you learned something about yourself and maybe somebody else or maybe something that you're excited to try. So I would love, love to see if anybody is open to sharing. Maybe something they've learned about themselves, maybe something they've learned about their partner. If their partner is open to them sharing. Of course the floor is open, you guys. Let me hear your voices. Let me see your faces. I love how all the cameras are on who is open and able to share.
I'll go.
Awesome. I'd love to hear.
Ed, I discovered that Claude and I think exactly the same way without even meeting each other before.
How's that?
What?
What thought wave are you two riding?
Because he said exactly what I was going to say before I had a chance to say it. Did you hear that?
I. I didn't hear. I think my Internet froze up on my end, but did everybody else catch that?
Yeah.
Okay. Okay, good. Amazing. And so I. I guess I missed it. So I don't know if somebody can follow up with what Ed said, but what was kind of the main thing that you guys realized you had in common before even speaking?
Well, Ed and I came. Came across was that we lost the Same. Same amount of weight during the same period. We're both on our second. Finishing up our second maintenance program and getting rid of some clothes that are way too big now.
Good, good. Those clothes are no longer needing to take up space. You're not going back there. Don't look back. They that's a direction you're not going in. It's a quote that I've been kind of hearing a lot this last week, and it's all about moving forward. It's all about committing to the life we're actively putting in effort into, the mindset that we're actively putting effort into. So I had a feeling you two would connect, and so I put you into a room together kind of purposely because I saw a lot of similarities. So it's awesome that you were able to kind of see that before even than speaking, which is so amazing how energy kind of picks up in that way, just being with a different person. So thank you so much for sharing. And I saw Annalisa. You raised your hand as well. I'd love to hear what insights you've had. Yeah.
Working with Olive. Amazing. She's on day three. Congratulations, Olive, for getting started and moving forward. I'm so excited for her. And of course, her biggest one is to let go of weight. And so we connected on a bunch of different things. As far as clutter, I'm not quite a minimalist, but I would like to get closer to it, getting rid of as many things. I follow the minimal mom, and she always talks about your house in all the stuff in your house is skus that you have to manage. So getting to the point where you have lesser is best. So we talked about that and we talked about using the pomodoro technique to get started, because sometimes when you don't feel like doing some thing, you put it off. And so if you put some music on and you set the pomodoro technique, you know, or you set your timer and you just go do something for 20 minutes and get it done. So, yeah, it's cool. It's great.
Amazing, Amazing. Two such huge topics. And when you mentioned, you know, releasing weight, that's physical, of course, when it comes to, you know, weight that we're carrying, when it comes to objects that are around us, but it's also about releasing mental weight, releasing emotional weight. The weight that is necessary is not necessarily tangible, or we can't really see or always feel it until we reflect. But it's leaving that baggage behind because we don't need all that extra weight. Anymore to carry with us. So I think that's such a important point that you brought up. And, and, and yeah, the second point too, I think, you know, it gets, especially around change of seasons, it gets so hectic and things kind of, you know, fall off the rails sometimes, especially when it comes to decluttering and cleaning. So a little rule I've made myself is every day just take 10 minutes to clear up the space. Whatever I can do in five to 10 minutes is all I'm required to do. And naturally the place just keeps clean because it never has a chance to even get dirty because if you do those couple of minutes, it's not this massive overhaul clean. So work with yourself. You know, if an hour long session is something that you can't commit to, don't, don't do it. Do something that is realistic. That is not going to create the resistance. There are so many options. You get to create your own script here. So thank you so much for that. Beverly would love to hear your insights.
Yeah, I, I got put in a room with Barb and I was very excited about that. But my, the two things that came to my mind were pain and dust and, and Barb had, was going dust, but I have dust all over my house and I, I haven't done anything to take care of, of it and nobody else has either. And, but Barb said that she was ready to get rid of excuses. And I'm thinking, well, maybe that's, that's what my dust really means. My dust really means excuses.
Wow, what a cool analogy. Yeah. And you know, when you said that, it kind of put the words like letting the dust settle in life before doing kind of like a clean sweep and starting fresh and, and, and yeah, and the mindset around it, noticing the excuses maybe that we've been telling ourselves to let that dust sit there, you know, to let it percolate, to let it collect until we're ready to turn that page to, you know, start fresh, to clean up and declutter. So that's such a profound way of putting it. I love that so much. So thank you guys for sharing. For me, what came up quickly, just to, you know, be transparent, is, and Elisa and I had a great conversation about this is really letting go of fear. You know, at the root of so many things that stop us is a fear of some sort, a fear of maybe rejection, a fear of failure, a fear of you know, even loss of identity. That comes up a lot on this program because, you know, whether it's intentional or not, we identify with different things that are us or that we participate in, let's say, throughout our every day. So I can say, you know, I'm a health coach and I can say I can identify with the fact that I'm a runner and that I enjoy healthy meals and that, you know, I do all these things, but is that me? You know, that these are just things that I do and I enjoy. It doesn't necessarily need to be my identity. Just as your identity isn't shaped by, you know, the weight that you're carrying or necessarily the self destructive habits that you're currently doing or have been doing in the past, that was all coping, that was all a way of your body and your mind creating kind of these self preservation techniques. And so while, you know, this is a wide topic, I'm by no means a psychologist. I'm just very interested. You have to get curious with yourself. And so at the root of a lot of things that stop me, I find, is fear. So I'm looking to get rid of the fear. I'm looking to no longer fear fear. Kind of dance with fear, if you will. Still figuring out what that means and what that looks like, but no longer kind of feeling that, that resistance or this kind of scared feeling approaching it and really bringing it back down to the facts. Once you think about the actual facts of what is happening or what could happen, let's say, then all of that fear goes out the window because fear is. You're facing. Fear is something that hasn't even happened yet, that you're, you know, or in some cases it is. In a lot of the cases it's imaginative. So once you kind of bring yourself back to the facts, you're able to eliminate that fear. So letting go of fear in all the places it kind of seeds itself in that is no longer necessary. Fear. False evidence appearing real. Yes, I love that. Annalisa. I've not heard that before, but exactly, exactly. It's, it's all. While it's all amazing that we have these mechanisms to protect us, these are very necessary, don't get me wrong. They kick in maybe a little bit too much or maybe to a higher degree than we need them for the lives that we're living right now. So it's not to shame fear. Fear is there for a reason, but it's not necessary all the time. Letting go of adjusting the meals to please others. Yes, less green stuff. I will now put in all the green stuff. Love it. Load it up with all the lovely nutrition. People will come around. People are habit or people are creatures of habit, so they prefer to stick to what they know until they know something new. And so, you know, maybe you've heard me say you don't know, and you don't know what you don't know until you know. And it's so important to, to challenge others and say, well, what if you do really, really like it? What if it's great? What if you feel great? What if your energy is awesome? Then what? What's the worst that can happen? You eating more green stuff, you just eat more green stuff and then you maybe feel better and maybe you have better energy and maybe you have a great bowel movement that day. So sounds like a win win to me. So it's just really about how you market it sometimes. But people come around and if they don't, then you're winning anyways because you know how to take care of your body. You're getting the nutrition, and then your energy is going to shine so bright, they're going to get curious all on their own. So I've seen multiple, multiple, multiple times. So way to be the light, way to be kind of a beacon for people to follow in that path one day when they are ready. Yes, the ginger really does help. Ginger and garlic. As soon as you slather those on anything, people are like, okay, I'm, I'm picking up what you're putting down. The flavor profile is awesome. So that's kind of like my little trick that I like to put in is just emphasize the garlic anytime I'm bringing a dish to a get together that I know might receive a little bit of pushback. So you just include a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and you'd be surprised at how many people actually enjoy it or are curious about it. JJ version says exposure equals preference. I'd love to have you elaborate a little bit more on that, Beverly.
Oh, she was talking about if you keep on try and try and keep on trying, then you'll eventually come to acquire the taste for it, I think. And a lot of people were saying that they just couldn't get their children to eat what their, their vegetables.
Vegetables.
But if you keep on giving it to them, then they'll learn to eat them. And she, she said that when she was a kid, her nickname was Poppy because she was always, she always was eating pop tarts. Well, she found out later that she really doesn't like sweets. Sweet isn't her favorite, but she was eating it all the time because she was exposed to it. All the time. And, and so the, the, So the theory would be that you just keep on putting the vegetables on the plate, particularly for children, until that, until it becomes acceptable. And actually I found that to be true for myself too. I've never been much of a, a avocado fan. I'm from California. I don't know why I don't like avocados, but I've never actually, I discovered it was really the texture I don't like. And so I was putting them in my smoothies all the time and pretty soon when I was putting them on my salad, if was well hidden, I would be okay eating them. But if I accidentally got one in my mouth by itself self suddenly was, oh, this is actually not bad.
That kind of thing. Yeah, yeah. And, and that can happen, you know, from time to time. Kind of like what Deepa mentioned in the chat here. Your taste buds are changing approximately every seven to 10 days. And so certain foods that might have tasted, let's say not favorable, not something that you gravitate towards initially. After this program, I find that a lot changes. You' course your blood sugar levels stabilize and reduce because of the foods that you're consuming. And so maybe some lower sugar, you know, vegetables or fruit or whatever have you that didn't taste super satisfying before actually tastes really amazing now. And your body is even in fact craving the nutrition that's inside the food that's making it taste even better to you as well. So something that can help in if you are open to kind of introducing new foods or, or trying to see foods from the past past tickle your fancy now, you could do something like a tongue scraper. So for multiple different reasons, I say this until I'm blue in the face. I think I might have said it a million times already, but a tongue scraper is just one of the best investments in my opinion, you can make for your just overall health. And it literally takes 10 seconds in the morning and then at night as you brush your teeth, it's super simple to incorporate. You stack it on top of your oral routine already that's hopefully standing in place that's been long standing in place in your life. And so what you want to do is take your tongue scraper. Ideally it's copper as well, because copper has anti microbial benefits to it as well. So it's really great at just cleansing any sort of microbes, any harmful microbes you might have lying on your tongue. So you scrape your tongue reaching far back enough to induce a slight gag reflex. The reason being is that's going to help work on your vagal tone. So that's going to be really important at stimulating your vagus nerve and also having regular bow, bowel movements. By scraping your tongue, you're removing all the plaque bacteria, any sort of gunk that's been resting on your tongue all day or throughout the evening, at night as you've been sleeping. It of course helps eliminate bad breath. You speed up the cell turnover of your taste buds so they replenish faster, they're sharper, so food actually tastes more potent. And then additionally you're working on your gut health because whatever you're removing in your oral microbiome, you're no longer swallowing into your gut microbiome. So it's a win win on several fronts in my opinion. Whoever does not have a tongue scraper would highly suggest looking into it for these reasons. I'm a huge proponent of simple and super effective. This is one of those habits that I highly, highly recommend anyone, anyone and their moms to do. It's it pays so much in terms of health moving forward. We do have a link as well. If you don't have a copper tongue scraper that I can post here because we do have a coupon code and it's a small business so we like to support small businesses however much we can. So I will go ahead and drop that link in the chat shortly. And I know some people use the back of their toothbrush or they just use their toothbrush. I would opt still for the copper tongue scraper because with a toothbrush you're kind of just moving it around. It's still largely staying on your tongue. Whereas a scraper you just kind of scrape it off. You don't want to go too hard on the pressure. Don't of course, you know, cut your tongue by any means, but just light gentle pressure to what's comfortable, you know, three times, that's all you got to do. Brush your teeth and your watch your life literally change and your taste buds change. It's, it's such a drastic difference going from that 10 second habit to not so highly recommend it. And again I will post the link in here and it's 20% off that you can receive on this tummy scraper and it's something that lasts you forever in essence. So I think it's a great investment to make in your oral care routine. Any questions coming up for any, anyone. Before we end off for today, we have still a couple of minutes here. Have about 7 minutes. Not too many questions coming in today, but lots of great comments and discussion. Ed, I see you had your hand up there.
Yeah. Is. Does. Has anyone experienced earaches during the program? All of a sudden I got an ear earache and I can't figure out why. It's not like inside my ear. Like you get an ear infection. It's on the outside and couldn't figure out what that's from. Sensitivity on the back of the, the top of the ear, behind the ear, down into the jaw.
Oh, I think you're muted. Annalisa.
I think that might be related to your lymph. You have a, a lymph node right behind on the top of your auricular. I forget what it's called. It's also your auricular branch of your vagus nerve flows through that area as well. But you, you have drainage. What you can do. And Alice, you had. Couple of weeks ago did the lymph massage that may help to. If you go back and look at the. That what she showed is just moving that lymph system there and maybe helping with the drainage.
Okay.
Yes. Yeah, I was just about to suggest that myself. I'm actually going to film a video of it today and I'm going to share it in the. The metabolic group. That was actually the plan because of the post that I made a couple days ago. So it's. It's called the Big Six method. It's coined by Dr. Perry. Nicholson. Nicholson. And. And basically it's a routine to do on yourself that takes two minutes every single day. Morning time is great, anytime is great ideally. But morning you get that added energy flow so it's just more productive. So you do it in a specific order and you activate the different lymph nodes that you have in your body so that the drainage flows more consistently. So I'm gonna post that video today. So who for whoever wants to add this to the routine. It is a fabulous, fabulous two minute exercise to do on top of this because you're doing a lot of detoxifying. Your lymph nodes are going to be a little bit overburdened initially as you're fighting through inflammation, as you're kind of releasing any sort of toxins through your body and then just great overall maintenance after, you know, into the maintenance phase and post program as well. So it could be lymphed. I would definitely love for you to try that first to see if that's able to mobilize anything. If you have maybe something like a rebounder or an access. Access to a rebounder or maybe even something like infrared sauna to kind of help sweat things out to move things. That would be great too.
Okay, thank you.
Yeah. Our pleasure. Glad to know that that exercise is going to come in handy for at least one person today. So it's going to make filming it much more. Awesome. Anything else coming up for anybody? Have any fun plans for the weekend? Enjoying any fall activities? I know this is a great time to go apple picking, you know, maybe pumpkin picking, which are also great foods that are included on this program that you can enjoy. So lots of root vegetables. I'm sure lots of squash is going to be around very soon too. I see Olive here. What to do with the mist spray dose. So if you find that you've missed your dosage for one of the times, if it's within three hours of your, let's say, dose time, so 7am let's say you realize at 10am you forgot to take the 7am spray, you could take it at that time. You're still going to take the same amount of sprays or drops that you've been taking the whole time. So it's going to be five at that time, around three hours, up to three hours after you notice that missed dose. If it's beyond three hours, let's say it's 11 or 12, then I would wait until the next time, which is 2pm and then at that time still continue to regularly, regularly take your dose. So continue it to be five sprays or five drops for that next time. And so yeah, that's, that's kind of how to go about if you miss a spray. I know oftentimes people forget it at home or leave it at the office and you know, you travel back and forth. So for that I recommend to create or find an extra spray bottle that you might have lying around at home, clean it out, pour in some of the spray or some of the drops inside it and leave it at the place that you frequent so that, let's say, so you don't have to remember to take it with you. You're just always have it at that place or you have it within your home. So that's what I would recommend. And then also putting in reminders in your phone at 7, 2 and 9, that really helps to stay on top of it. It could be on your computer or your phone. We just tend to have our phones on us all the time. So that works, works really well and that really helps to stay on top of it. I think during my journey I've missed one spray and it's because I had consistent reminders. And the one time that I missed it, I was on a phone call, so I didn't get the reminder. So it really, really helps to stay on top. Yeah, perfect. Claude put it in his phone. And I know you've done the program to a T and you were able to follow along, so I'm sure that that was able to help stay on top of things too. On top of your already disciplined nature. Awesome. Well, that's everything I had to cover for today. I want to say happy Friday again. Happy almost fall. I hope that you bring something new into this weekend. Maybe paying a little bit more attention, noticing outside of this moment and other situations that come to you, you know, what am I ready to let go of? Or you know, maybe propositions that come your way that you would usually jump at and say yes to. Ask yourself, is this really what I want? Is this autopilot me, or is this higher version me? And. And. And slowly but surely, these kind of bigger changes start to happen with these micro moments that you implement this new mindset with. So I hope everybody has a beautiful weekend. Enjoy your activities, enjoy your rest, enjoy some nature as best as you can, and we will all see you next Friday. Bye, everyone.
Great job, Alice. Thank you. Bye, everyone.
