SalesGlobe Sage on why companies can't forecast sales anymore. Geopolitical shifts, demographic changes, and supply-chain chaos make quotas impossible to set. The fix: build a think tank to gather forward-looking insight, then redesign sales compensation for whatever comes next.
Sometimes it can feel like we're in uncertain times. We have big geopolitical changes, we have demographic shifts, we have macroeconomic changes. And this can lead to a perception of uncertainty and real uncertainty in the business environment.
Well, some of the things we know is that because of global economic uncertainties and supply chain disruptions that companies are finding it very difficult to understand and to predict how much are they going to sell? What should the quota really look like?
So there are two things that we need to do to address that. One is getting really good insight on what's ahead, hence the think tank. And the other is ideation. Ideation around new ideas and around new ways of problem solving, especially around sales and sales compensation. And only by being prepared in those ways can we deal with that uncertainty and be ready in pretty much any situation.
But come to the think tank where we can talk about the big challenges. We develop solutions together collectively that can help you pave a better path forward for your own organization.
