In this short instructional video, Sally walks Trevor through two key LinkedIn optimisation tasks. First, she shows how to edit the public profile URL to replace the default numeric string with a name‑based URL, improving searchability. She demonstrates navigating to the profile, selecting “Edit public profile & URL,” and using the pen icon to customise the link. Second, Sally reviews Trevor’s current profile keyword distribution, noting that many green‑highlighted keywords are missing or under‑used. She shares PDFs of competitor profiles (Alyssa, Andrew, Brenton from Adelaide Budgeting) that illustrate a well‑optimised money‑coach profile. These examples use a concise “mini‑sales‑page” summary that outlines major client pain points (financial stress), the coach’s beliefs, experience, and a clear call‑to‑action. The experience section is organised around specific target client clusters – FIFO workers, first‑home buyers, property investors, mortgage brokers, and accountants – with each role highlighted to boost relevance. Sally offers to send the PDFs and suggests homework to improve Trevor’s LinkedIn searchability.

Hi Trevor, it's Sally. Very quickly, just wanted to give you a quick thing to do on your LinkedIn profile, just in this yellow section here. At the moment, you've just got these numbers that are coming up after your name, which even reduces the searchability as it relates to your name and can be quite a significant significant things. So the way that you can actually edit this so you can get something closer to your name, or your name ideally, is to just go over to your LinkedIn profile. I've clicked on there to get to my profile, which is what you would do. Click on the view profile as I have done, and then you can see up in this top corner here, edit public profile and URL. That is where you go to change, to find the little pen button here and where you can actually change your LinkedIn URL so you can actually personalize it for your profile. So I just wanted to quickly point that out for you and just also share with you a, um, your LinkedIn profile and just what I've just done quickly, I've just done a quick PDF here, and when you look at all of the green spots, they're the key green spots for your keywords, and as you can see, there's quite a selection of lots of different keywords, so your profile at this stage isn't as optimised as obviously we would like it, which you identified yourself anyway. So I'll send over to you this quick video and a comparison one of Alyssa Mates. These are money coaches. Alyssa and Andrew and Brenton are going to come up with me to the August breakfast. These guys are from Adelaide Budgeting and we've done their profile tied in with their keywords. I think I showed you this when I was up there. So their keyword is money coaching, these are their client clusters, FIFO workers, first home buyers, property investors, and they do collaborative partnerships with mortgage brokers and accountants. So their summary section is a little mini sales page just like you'd have on a website that just talks about the major problems which is financial stress, says thank you so we've got some good manners in there. A little bit of what Alyssa believes, a little bit of their experience and what they're most often thanked for by their clients, and then the welcome mat of how they can connect with them. The next thing we've done here is the experience section. We've actually now honed this in specifically on their target, ideal target markets. So the first one being FIFO workers. The second one being first home buyers, the third one being mortgage brokers and accountants, etc. So just wanted to quickly share that with you and send these couple of PDFs so you've got something to work on. Love to give people homework to improve their searchability results on LinkedIn. Thank you.
