Speaker B tells young people worried about AI and uncertain futures to stop trying to predict what's coming. Focus on hard work and put yourself in position for luck to help. Most businesses take seven years to succeed, and external factors you can't control matter as much as effort.
I just don't know how to stop. And sometimes it's not smart and it costs me.
Young people keep asking me like, what should I do? AI's coming out. I don't know where I should go to college or what should I do? And it's like, just put yourself in a position where you can just grind. No one knows where the world's going to go. No one knows what's happening. You can't control the world. Everyone acts as if they can. Luck has to be your copilot. You talk to entrepreneurs that have already made it. People say the average business takes 7 years to be successful. Someone said to me, it's kind of like you knew when you started that you had 7 years. No, you don't ever know that it's going to be successful. It's underestimated how hard how hard that is to keep grinding because you don't see where it's going. And you need sometimes to have these weird other factors happen that are outside of your control to make your success happen.
