Sam Parr and a guest explore what really drives them: winning, not money. Both have felt the pull of financial ruin and found it clarifying. When you have nothing to lose, taking risks feels simpler and the thrill of winning becomes everything.

Are you driven by money?
Yes and no. It's kind of like a score. It's a number in a bank account. What I'm driven really is by just winning. I think there is a bit of sense in me that I'm one step from losing it all.
I feel exactly the same way. For a long time, I like had a plan on where I would go if I was homeless. It is kind of exciting. When you have nothing, it's kind of fun to play games because it's just easier to bet sometimes. Just like a hood rat with nothing, like which I was.
