A founder earned zero or negative income from age 20 to 30, then made $120,000 at 31—more than the previous eleven years combined. The lesson: success doesn't come linearly. If you're betting on yourself, judge the results around age 30, not year one.
I wrote down how much money I made from the age 20 to the age 31, and it was like $0,000, then negative $30,000. Then I, I got a job and the job paid me $120,000. I thought I was doing great. At age 31, I made more than the previous 11 years before that combined. My advice to young people always is if you're gonna take a non-traditional path like entrepreneurship or betting on yourself, it's gonna be this slowly then suddenly path. Don't count your earnings at 22 or 23 or 24. Check the scoreboard at age 30.
Or regardless of 30 or not, after like 8 or 9 years, you give it, give it decade.
When success comes through the front door, this is how it arrives: slowly and then suddenly.
