Ari Emanuel, the real-life Ari Gold from Entourage, takes 200 calls a day starting at 6 AM while walking on a treadmill and tosses almonds to signal his assistant. His brothers include Rahm Emanuel, former Chicago mayor, and Ezekiel, described as the smartest of the three.
Ari Emanuel. A lot of people know him because the character in Entourage is based off of him. His day is basically, he's like walking on a treadmill, he's got the earpiece in his ear, and his assistant is just getting people on the phone that he wants to talk to for like 30 to 90 seconds at a time.
He would do something like 200 calls a day, and it starts at 6 AM.
Somebody told me they're in his office and he just has a bag of almonds. Whenever he wants his assistant's attention, he was throwing the almonds at her and she would turn around, he's like, next call, I need the next call.
What a douche.
Did you know he's one of 3 brothers and all 3 brothers do really interesting stuff?
There's a book, Brothers Emanuel: A Memoir of American family. His brother, Rah Emanuel, was the mayor of Chicago and on Obama's cabinet, political power player. And in the book, Ari and Rah, they go, a lot of people know us, but they don't know that our third brother, Ezekiel, he's the smartest and the more successful brother. We're just more like stubborn and bullheaded a little bit.
He basically made the Obamacare, like he was the architect of the Affordable Care Act.
