Three food pairings mess with digestion: fruit with cooked foods forces conflicting stomach acids, large amounts of water with meals dilutes enzymes, and too many different dishes on one plate overwhelms your system. Stick to two or three dishes per meal and sip water separately.

There are 3 food combinations which are worst of all. The first is combining fruits with cooked food. When they go inside your stomach, they need separate digestive juices to be broken down, and often our stomach is not able to digest foods with such different digestive juices altogether, and hence the food is left undigested. The second is having a lot of water with your meals. If you want to have small sips, that's fine, but when we just chug down water in between our meals, it destroys our digestion. So water and meals should ideally be kept apart. And the third is you You shouldn't mix too much together in general. When we see like a wide array of dishes in front of us, we fill our plate with at least 8 different dishes. And if we just count the number of ingredients in our plate, it's just massive. Again, our digestive system is very simple. The more we combine, it's more stressful for our systems to process it. So we recommend if there's 10 dishes in front of you, rather than picking all 10, pick the 2 or 3 dishes that you like the most.
