The Secret on How to grow your show the fastest

A live YouTube conversation between host Sammy Taggett and guest Tracy Star (STARS PR) about the fastest way to grow a podcast: get on other people’s shows (interview marketing). Tracy explains her background in personal-development launches, describes building STARS PR to place guests on podcasts, and gives practical advice: use affiliate-style offers to make interviews mutually monetizable; prepare pitch pages with five interview questions, five benefits to the audience, and a CTA that supports affiliate tracking; ensure digital-marketing infrastructure (funnels, email list, autoresponders) is in place before heavy PR; and treat interviews as joint-venture partnerships. The episode also explores manifestation and list-writing (Tracy’s “Power of Lists” practice and 300-wish list exercise) as tools for calling in aligned collaborators and opportunities.

Live right now. Ah, I know. I wish I had. Okay, so to be totally honest, Tracy, usually there is a bumper name, some things in other shows that I've used, but to be honest with you, people just like to. They just like to see what we're doing and get into the nitty gritty. So I'm like, let's just get into it. And for my audience. Hey, what's up, evolved performers and my evolved podcasting family. This beautiful guest that you are seeing right now is an absolute new friend and new tribe member that I just discovered not too long ago. And the reason I discovered her is because we as a company have been trying to figure out the best way to grow our. Our current clients, which we have some amazing clients in our evolved podcasting world. But we were like, I don't know how to get them over the 200 and 300,000 threshold or the 50,000 threshold. And, you know, there's all these different ideas, there's all these different thoughts and modalities on how to get your show to grow. Should you buy. Should you buy ads? Should you do this? But what we really found out, the. The secret to getting your show to the next level, it's a lot easier than you think. And it's why podcasting was so prevalent and popular in the beginning, right, Tracy? And that is to get on other people's shows.
What?
Oh, my God. Boom. So, guys, I'm so excited to introduce to you my dear, dear friend and new sister, Tracy Star. Thank you for coming to the Evolve performer platform. You came at a beautiful time, too, because now we're like, we're excited to use your services to help get people on shows, and that's why I wanted to introduce you to our entire audience today. Oh, hey, guys. What's up? People are showing up here. And that is why we wanted to have a quick live talk, right? Because this is the new idea. This is actually the new way that I'm showing a lot of my podcasters and a lot of the people in this space how to get the algorithms to work for you, how to make sure that you're actually having fun conversations that are engaging. But before we go deeper into that rabbit hole. Hello, Tracy. Good to see you, my dear.
Hi. Hey, Neves, how did you get this started?
Where did this come from? And then I do want to allude to a little bit of. Because I kind of found you through the idea of manifestation, through the idea of calling in. And, you know, these are all these fun. Woo. Woo. I call it the even Glenn calls it the woo woo, ding ding space.
But it's that space where you're like, you know what? I have these notes all over my mirrors. My girl has made our house a 3D model of a vision board. She's like, we're gonna have this, we're gonna bring in this, we're gonna do that. And one of the things that I wanted to do was bring in the most aligned partnerships and the most aligned our current clients. And even people just listening, how do I grow show? How do I get to more people? Tracy, you stumbled onto it. You have started an entire agency around the idea of basically just helping people get on shows. And I was like, whoa, look at that. It's so cool. This. Just get your interview, get your message out. I mean, you guys check out this website here. It's a www.s t a r r z p r.com and we'll put a link here below. But this is where it's at. This is what it's all about, right? How did you get started with this? Tracy?
Oh my gosh, honey, I, first of all, thank you so much for just being who you are, showing up in the world like you do and helping so many people. So grateful for you. Just cannot believe how aligned we are and the factor in my life, I'm just so grateful and, and excited. So. Yeah. So I actually over a decade.
Put into this amazing personal development, digital marketing world and I. Wow. Okay, So a little bit of my story, I guess. So I started working with Deborah Poneman and Marcy Shimoff from the Secret, creating a year long group mentorship program for women. And my first drop into the deep end of the pool of this entire, I guess, industry. It was a seven figure launch with 1400 members and 52 countries with over 200 affiliates.
So 100 affiliates.
Oh God, yes. Most of which were in the Secret, which is a whole nother conversation, talking about vision boards and list writing and manifestation and all of that stuff because. Absolutely. That's how I run my life and, and my results are insane. And I'm just so grateful. But what happened is that, you know, working for, you know, someone who has so many incredible connections and like the top transformational leaders on the planet and working with them with her project, you know, when there were, you know, lulz. Because of course businesses up ebb and flows when you're not doing a crazy launch, you know, you have some bandwidth. And so I started working with some of these other folks, you know, with digital marketing and affiliate marketing and Then, you know, this is back in instanteless seminar. This, there was no zoom. Social media wasn't really anything.
Right.
You remember that? Yeah. So, my gosh, so, so glad that we're where we are today. But it really opened up that there were just all these interviews that were happening. So over the course of years, all I was doing was being asked to make introductions for interviews, and it just became kind of a. An aha of. This is interview marketing, right? You have digital marketing, you have affiliate marketing, and you have interview marketing. And like four years ago, I was like, okay, you know what? I could do this as like an agency because I'm getting so many people asking me because I have all these incredible connections with folks to be able to, you know, get them out, to make these connections and to really leverage the work that they're doing and other people's audiences. And so I was like, well, duh. So I started STARS pr and it has been just an incredible experience. I have worked with some of the most amazing people on the planet and. And it's just continued to grow. I know, I know it's insane, but podcasting has just like grown exponentially. And it is such a huge opportunity for, you know, just experts, but business owners to, to really get their, Their, their message, their brand out into the world. And now, especially because of the pandemic, it's global. Right. So you're really not just, you know, oh, a local radio show, like, it might have been years and years ago now it's really, like, spanned the world. And, you know, I've just found that there's so much.
Scalable business that you can do when you do interviews and get on other people's podcasts. And so when you, you know, launch your own podcast, it's the same as any business. Right. You're still getting yourself out there.
Yeah.
And so, you know, it's. It's imperative, you know, to, to partner with other show hosts, you know, have them on yours and you be on theirs. And really, you know, and then, you know, I've got also ideas and things that we do with ROI and monetizing those interviews. But the, the fundamental is to really explode your podcast and to grow your audience is to get on other people's. Totally pretty, pretty simple.
So how people are screwing that up? People don't, like, I feel like I talk to a lot of young podcasters, young non influencers, maybe they have like a thousand people listening and they're like, hey, I want you to put me on Vision Show. I'm like, dude, I want you. I would love a million dollars. What the. So how do you. How do you. Or is. Do you have a tip on what is. What is a nice and classy way for people that don't have a huge following to offer value and to be, you know, of service to somebody that's a bigger. A bigger fish, so to speak? Because that is. I mean, there's some great shows that are not big, but they just don't know how to position themselves or to present or sell themselves. Do you have any. Do you have any background, like insider or behind the scenes kind of ideas on how people can do that?
Tastefully, yes. It's called affiliate marketing. So.
Typically speaking, podcasters have other business that they're doing, and the reason that they're doing the podcast is to drive people to their brand and, you know, and show off their expertise and really become an industry leader. And so as you're growing, you don't really have, as you were saying, like, the leverage to just, you know, cream of the crop, you know, here you are. And if you can create with the digital marketing, an affiliate marketing strategy and platform where you can then offer show hosts an opportunity to monetize your interview, you now have their attention. And so especially, you know, because obviously you're going to want to find podcasts that are in your niche. You're talking to the same audiences. So. Right. You're really collaborating. So it becomes a joint venture partnership. I actually look at interviews not as like, oh, this thing that I'm doing, it's a marketing. It's just an interview. No, I look at it as a joint venture partnership. If you do it right, you both can monetize it and grow your audiences. Both sides, both sides, both sides.
Ooh, that's affiliate. So it's an affiliate conversation almost. So would you say that the person interviewing, like, the bigger fish should be ultimately helping them market their product or something?
Right, Correct.
I like.
Yes, yes, yes, most definitely. You know, there's there. And there's ways to do it very tastefully with free offers, you know, and then you're driving them to, you know, the website where you use the affiliate link. Because if you're just saying go to their website URL, you're not going to capture the tracking. You're not going to get credit for, you know, any sales that come through. So you really have to be strategic in how you set up your digital marketing so that it works. But it's not hard to do. It just has to be done. And when it's done and done right. It can really leverage who you are and you know, you just quick, it's like, you know, putting the gas on the pedal, suddenly you're going a lot faster because now you have something that you're bringing a value that they're going to be. Oh, well, that's, that's unique. Most people don't even have that, let alone offer it to me.
Right. No, that's such a good point. Thank you, Tracy.
Yeah.
How so with, with the whole idea of like just starting this and this entire kind of industry moving right with, with these leveraging these conversations, what do you think is. And, and this is something that I think everybody's a little subject they can do. But what do you think is like one of the best places for people to start in looking for new talent and places like that? Because I feel like you and I have this huge reservoir of places to go and also, I mean this is also a place that you're actually one of the best places to go to for this. But if you're just looking for, you know, how to get on new shows and, and what's the best way to approach getting on new shows? Do you have any secret places that you like to go and find people to, to interview and, and get into like minded tribes and things of that nature?
It actually depends on the niche, to be honest.
And so it's kind of a difficult thing to say exactly. Like, you know, oh, go to this, you know, particular thing. I have expert connectors who really are, you know, experts with different niches. And so they've, you know, relationships. And so a lot of it is just that it's relationship building. With that being in mind. If, you know, you're doing this on your own, you don't have any of these connections already. You're, you know, you're looking for the folks that again, share your audience. They have the same avatar and you know who they are. I mean, for the most part I think you really do. But you know, I mean, you really, if you're really into it, you really get your, your market, your, you know, the industry and who, who are real players. But that doesn't mean that, you know, you're not coming up as a new talent or somebody else isn't either. And it's a good way to collaborate because one thing I've found too is in conversions, especially when you have the affiliate program set up, you can, you can actually like, like, you know, track this is that smaller audiences oftentimes convert better because they have More of a dedicated audience. It's interesting that, you know, as. As you're growing, you, you. You tend to get more numbers, but the numbers aren't, you know, necessarily the same folks that started with you. Like, there's this, I don't know, it's an interesting phenomenon. Like, you know, you really love a host when you see it's like the underdog, right? It's like, oh, you know, I started and there were only like, you know, a thousand, and now there's like 100 million. And like, you do you feel proud, like you've help contribute to that, even if all you did was listen to, you know, some of the episodes. But there's some weird.
There's a weird algorithm to it.
Yes, yes, exactly.
I think. And that's super. Okay, guys, that's super practical advice on like, how to go to the right places and find the right watering holes. Tracy, I want to get down to the juicy stuff. So this is the weird stuff, right? The little woo stuff. What do you think is. Because there's such a power in the unconscious mind and the. The frequency of how we find people, I would say something that's really overlooked is using our intuition, using, like the kind of crazy, like, okay, I want to call in this person. We call it intention. We call it. We call it manifesting. We call it a bunch of different things. I know that you came to me out of an intention and out of just this deep desire to find the right people. How do you use the law of attraction? And like, do you have any. Do you have any ways that you can help our audience learn? Because this is, let's be honest, like, you have Natalie Ledwell from Mind Movies. You have some huge people in your space, and I know you actually also cohabitate with your lover, Mr. Bob Doyle, who is also from the movie the Secret. And there is some magic around, not just going, okay, who's my watering hole? And this and that, but calling in the people that are, like, really profoundly aligned with your mission and voice. But you do that not from just like a searching the Internet and doing things. How do you coach and teach people to use their intuition and to manifest like, the best. The best connections?
What an incredible question. And I'm so happy we were talking about this because typically I don't get to talk about this, at least not in this realm. So I know. I love it so much. So, yes. So the Secret. So how. How I call this in actually started with The Secret and 2006, saw the movie, thought, oh, my God, there's other people on the planet who think like I do. And it was just, like, such a relief to me because I thought I was crazy up until that point, or I was maybe told I was crazy. I don't know. Anyway, and I wrote a list. I started like a bucket list. Like, you know what I want to have do be your experience, right? And on that list, I said, I want to befriend, not meet, not, you know, whatever, but befriend. And I wrote down the name of everybody in the movie. And at the time, I had a completely different life, you know, was married to someone different than Bob. I had, you know, a completely different business that I was doing in Chicago. And so, so list writing is really like planting seeds, right? And so I had this list, and, you know, there was a ton of different, really amazing things on this list. And 5 1/2 years later, my life changed. And I, and I had been friends with Deborah Poneman through that five and a half years. And what happened is that she and I started working together with Marcy. We created that Year of Miracles program. And boom, suddenly my entire life changes. And those 200 affiliates, like I said, most of them were in the secret. So I'm still going my list, and I'm like, cross off right now. It might not have taken five and a half months or five and a half days. It took five and a half years. But a lot of the manifestation happens when you're finally in the vibration and you're being the person you need to be to be in alignment with those people. And so, right. And so fast forward a number of years, and I moved to Las Vegas, I get divorced, and I write my perfect partner list. And on the top of it, I wrote, I don't need to date. I'll know when I know. And from there I wrote, you know, inspirational motivational speaker wants to help change people's lives for the better. You know, all those things that are important to me. Right? And again, it was like another five years later. I, I, I met Bob at a birthday party, and it was like instant. You know, we talked at dinner about how we were both so happily single. I was dating me was my excuse. Anytime anybody would ask me out, for the most part, it was like. And what happened is that it was just totally in alignment and totally in sync. Neither one of us would have been ready for any type of relationship had we met a month earlier or a year earlier. And actually, he and I had talked in 2014. Because of your Year of Miracles, because he was an affiliate, so he was already crossed off my list. Right. But not my perfect partner list, apparently. So I, you know, I invited him the next day to networking thing. We networked with each other for three hours and then made out in the parking lot. And then we've been together for. Since. And we're, you know, like four years, so we never dated. We just went straight on into a relationship. And it's exactly perfect. And if I look at my perfect partner list, cross off, cross off, cross off, cross off. And so what I've now understood is that list writing is a manifestation tool. And. Right. And so a couple years ago, I started this 300 wish list on Facebook, this group. Just. I had seen this video from Steve Harvey, who talks about how when he was homeless, he wrote a list of 300 things, and by the end of the year, he realized about 10% of them had come true. So he kept doing this every year and then making bigger, crazier things like speaking on stage in the Apollo and having his own TV show and all of these, you know, kind of like, oh, that's a pipe dream, right? Nope. Obviously he's Steve Harvey because he did the Steve Harvey thing. What happens is when we're writing lists, especially, the more clear we are about it and the more emotion we tie into it, we're then set. We're setting ourselves up for, you know, this, this. This vision, to live the vision. Because, you know, this. This reality is, you know, illusional. And so when we tap into our. Our internal vision, this is why vision boards are so great. It. It allows us to basically put an order out into the universe and say, these are the things that I want. And the more clear we are the universe, like, oh, okay, I got you. But you have to get to the point where you're being the person who's on that same level of vibration. This is law of attraction stuff. But it's. It's really simple as that. So if you're trying to, you know, get on, you know, Joe Rogan or something, you know, put the intention in a list, be specific, and then when you touch on that item, visualize yourself in that interview. Visualize yourself talking to that person. What is it? Like, what are you talking about? How is it going? Like, really be there and do that? You know, often as you're called to do that, and then take action. Because that's kind of think with the. The secret. Kind of missed a couple steps. Was the action part of it? I know lots of people, right? Yeah. They sat on the Couch, you know, waiting for a million dollars to show up.
Where's my blue bike? Where's my blue bike?
Like, oh, you have to at least buy a lottery ticket. You're not going to win the lottery. Like, buy the lottery ticket. Yeah. So, you know, it's. It's really that. And so I actually started writing, and I was supposed to launch it last year, but Life Happens. My Power of Lists book, which is manifesting success through list writing. And it is exactly this principle. Oh, and it works.
It works for everything we're doing.
I know. Well, actually, you and I talked, and it's like, you know, I think there's. There's some list stuff that we can. You know, stories we can add to it, too. So I'm very excited.
Thousand percent.
Yep.
There was some juice right there.
Hit the shit.
It works. I'm telling you. It's like, you know, and this. I mean, this is not just for, you know, your business, your podcast. This is for everything in life. I mean, like I said, you know, it's my perfect partner list. I mean, this was just, you know, something. But I've done this, you know, every year. And then what I was doing with the Facebook group, which, because life happened. It was health, family stuff, you know, last year. Yeah, whatever, you know, was really just helping people to get focused and write that list. Because, you know, writing 300 things is like, oh, I can come up with 300 things. Or you may think, oh, it's really difficult. The truth of the matter is you get to about 75, 80, and you go, oh, I can't think of anything else. Where do I, you know, like, how do I get to 300? And. Because that's exactly what happened for me. I got to, like. I got to 82, and I was like, I don't know what else I want. Like, this seems to be, like, everything I can think of. And then what came to me is like, okay, well, let's tie in the things to these. So I want to, you know, know, take my daughter to Paris. Well, while I'm in Paris, I want to eat at the top of the, you know, Eiffel Tower. I want to eat in the restaurant up there, right? So that becomes a list item, right? Because I can visualize myself sitting in the restaurant with my daughter and Bob now and, you know, having an incredible meal and overlooking the, you know, Paris city. So when you. When you start to, like, pull, like, okay, well, I want this car, but I'd like this car to park in, you know, the. The garage of a house that looks like this. You know, I'd like a. I'd like this kind of house, but, you know, like, actually, this is how I honestly, that's exactly how I did this house. I had a list of the different things that I wanted to have and, you know, multiple head shower. You know, like, you come in, it's like everywhere. Oh, God. It's like the best, most amazing thing. And when we found this house, it was like I walked in, it was like, just check, check, check, check, check, check, Right?
Oh, my gosh.
It's being clear and it's visualizing that really brings all of that to your life.
To your life. You know, we actually. Tracy, we had that same thing happen. Like, we just. We had our little boy in November, and six months prior to our house, we were in la. And we're like, we gotta get the hell out of la. This is not where you want to have a baby. But we still didn't know where we were gonna, like, ultimately land. We knew we wanted to be by the ocean. And my partner Ray was like, you know what?
What?
I'm just going to list this out. I'm going to list this out just like you said. I didn't even realize how powerful the list is as a manifestation tool. I use most people. Like, I bet all of you people here, we use list as like, oh, I got to get this done, Got to get this done. But if you can make that pivot, like, that's huge from this conversation. If you can make the pivot that the list building is a manifestation tool, like, even on the list, you can be. You could put down, hey, I want to be able to not have to do this list. Who is going to make this easier with ease and grace to get my things done that I can. Then I can focus on this dream list of mine. So anyway, Ray does this and she lists out this exact line item. I want a house by the beach. We want a tennis court. We want a basketball court. We want it to be three minutes from our favorite surf places. It needs to be safe. And we need the three bedrooms. We need an office. And I'm like, dude, we just need a roof over our head. That's where my like, dude, we need this. We put this thing out and this is a part of the secret that you just mentioned. Again, she spoke to it, and then she put some deep, deliberate action into talking and putting it out there to the world. She put it on Facebook. We started sending out messages constantly. And she got this message back. She from her friend and her friend Crystal's like, I am moving out of my house. Which is exactly what you just listed. We're moving like a block away, so we'll still be neighbors, but you got to check out this house. I think it's on the market. Go. And I think in five days, we sight unseen, we're like, here. Here's all the paperwork. Here's all the. Here's the deposit. Boom, boom, boom. And everything just fell into place. And it's because we did that. And to circle back to what we're talking about in this conversation, guys, if you're looking for these ideal, perfect partnerships, especially when it comes to being on shows that you really align with, you gotta be that version of yourself, right? Like, I'm looking at how I aligned with Marie Diamond. Now I'm talking with you and Bob Vishen Lakiani. All these things is we started to become and live that which we were wanting to bring into our world. And it's like, it's the adage that they put out there all the time. You got to be the change. You got to believe that. And I love that we got to touch on this because that says, I think for the most important thing is when people are coming to me, they're like, how do I become this version of. Of myself to be on their show? I'm like, well, what are you living right now? Like, what are you doing? Like, I'm looking at your studio right now. There is a blank wall and a terrible set of lights, and there's nothing at all that says, hey, let me be on your show. If you want to be on shows and you want to have a really engaging interview, get your mic set up better, get your audio set up better, get a vision for what they're doing and just like, like, embrace who you can be. And now more than ever, and you can probably attest to this, Tracy. I mean, you. You're sitting in an amazing studio, and yeah, we might have some different kind of backdrops or whatever. There is the ability to enhance your experience as an interviewer and somebody that can bring in these amazing people so much faster and so much more engaging than there ever was before. And now what I am introducing you to my audience is there's a better way to learn from the best as yourself, to become somebody that those people like Natalie and Glenn and Vishen and JJ Virgin and all the people and Marie diamond would want to have on your show. And that's what I loved about your pr. Your. The way that you position Your people is that you guys have the ability to really showcase how to be the best version of yourself first and then get on those shows in accordance to how you're showing up. I'd love that.
Yeah. And thank you so much. You know, it's really important for me because strategizing, you know, your interviews is so incredibly important. And then positioning the pitch specific to the show and making sure that, you know, you're in alignment and that the host is going to read it and totally resonate and go. Yes. Right. So, you know, some tips, actually, things that, that I do that I highly recommend every single person who wants to be on podcast or has a podcast and does this is to have several different topics that you're talking about and be prepared and have this available. And, you know, actually when I pitch this, I actually create a pitch page for everyone. The five questions that the host can ask you regarding that topic. Five benefits to the audience that, you know, they'll experience if you're interviewed on their show. Right, right. The last, the last question on the, on the, the five questions, the last one goes to a CTA call to action of some kind of free gift that preferably has an affiliate program attached to it that the show host could then register for your affiliate program. And then you work together in partnership to be able to, you know, get all of the, the tech stuff and to monetize that. But if you come and you pitch someone, you know, with all of details, you're making their life so much easier. And for those hosts out there who know, do interviews, you. I can attest to this. You know, when you have all of that information in one place, the bio, you know, links to their, their stuff, their Instagrams, they're all these things. So you can take, you know, a snapshot view of this guest and really understand that, oh, yeah, this is going to be awesome. Yes, yes. It's, it's, it's, it's easy.
It really is slammed up totally. And that's the interesting thing. Like, it took us so many iterations, Tracy, to figure out how to do that. And that's why a service like yours is so useful. Like, we did that, you know, but it took us hours to try to put together a pitch deck. It took us hours to do that. And that's why I, I wanted to introduce you again. I was like, guys, the easy buttons right here. You wanna, you wanna have somebody kind of get this done for you? You can spend the hours. You can, but, like, what is your time worth to you? It's you're not gonna get that back. And there's somebody that is a master at doing this, and that's why I brought you on. Tracy. The other thing, too, we have some really cool guests that have popped on. Are some people that are watching. I've got my friend Tony Ridelli on here. Megan. Hi. Guys from Denver. Hey. Guys from New Zealand. Got a few of those on here. But the other thing. Yeah, super fun. People that make really good music and. And things of that nature are the ones that are on here. But Tony's an exceptional composer, and it's just something that you forget. There's all those pieces that you got to put in there. And that's why it's so nice to have somebody like you in the driver's seat to kind of help button up.
Pull all that out.
Package all of it together.
Yes.
So that you can not have to focus on all these little things. Right. There's a million things you got to worry about when it comes to just having the show. And so that's why so many.
Right. Yeah.
It's just so great to see that we have used that. That ethereal space and that visioning space to really call in each other. I was like, wow, when we. And you know, it. The other thing, too, like, there's. There's. There's a reason that you have to have that. I believe that you have to have that part of who you're talking to, not only for your interviews, but for the clients that you're building and bringing into. Because I've been. I've been bringing in clients, like, constantly. People are coming and coming, but I'm also like, I'm not trying to get everybody. I just want the certainty.
I'm just so happy you said that. Exactly. I actually almost said it earlier, and I. I skipped myself, but. Exactly. So I don't work with everyone.
Right.
You know, when I. When I. When I do a strategy call, I. Or a discovery call, I. I look at the strategy. I said, okay, you know, like, who is this person? So I check out their. Their website and their. Their, you know, social media and really sort of try to dive in and understand how are they promoting themselves? How are they showing up in the world? You know, their website.
Right.
It's. Right. It's like, are they set up? Because again, in my mind, you know, there's. There's the three components. There's digital marketing, affiliate marketing, and interview marketing. And you can skip the affiliate marketing bridge over again. The affiliate marketing is a huge benefit to have but you can do it without that. But you have to have the digital marketing in place. Because if you have a website, but you're, you know, book a call with me and you're not, you don't have a funnel set up, you're not building an email list which we can go into the whole thing about, you know, interview marketing and how that works, right? If you don't have those things set up, then I prefer you don't, you know, don't, don't go do interviews right this second. Take the money that you might invest in an interview marketing and put it into your digital marketing first. Get those funnels set up. Get an email list going, you know, get your autoresponders. I know this is a lot, but you know, it's to me way more important because if you're just, you know, getting out there doing interviews and you're not directing them someplace that you're going to be able to create a community, you're wasting your opportunity. You know, it's like, I have a new book, I have a new book and you know, I'm sending everybody to Amazon to buy my new book. Okay, well that might be great that you're getting new sales. Maybe you're, you know, an Amazon bestseller. That's fantastic. But are you building community? Do you know who bought your book? Can you send them a follow up and find out, you know, anything about them? You know, do you have a program that you'd love for them to. Because obviously a book usually is tied into something else you're offering, you know, and so if you're just sending, you're wasting your opportunity. So for me, it's like, I really look at all of those pieces and then I, and then I help people through it. Like, well, okay, if you don't have that set up, then here are some resources, here's a plan. Go do that and then come back.
To me and then come back. Thank you for saying that. Because so many people also look at the podcast and this is like a technical side of things. I like talking about the woo. The woo part more. But anyway, the technical side of it, honestly guys, if you're starting your podcast, it is not your cash cow generator just yet. It is your window into connecting and building your community. Community. And when done properly, you can definitely expedite the process. But man, it's not the thing that's gonna make you all the money right up front. And that's where it shouldn't even be for the money make, it should be for the community. Build. And that's what's crazy. I'm like, I'm always trying to. I do like this reverse psychology thing with people. I'm like, listen, this is going to be super hard. You're gonna have to do a lot of work. You're gonna have to do this, but you're also going to talk to people that you've never been able to talk to. But it is going to be really hard. And it's going to be a long, drawn out process. And that's why you gotta like me and my team, because we're gonna be your family, up your ass doing the stuff. So if you can deal with that, then let's talk about the next step. And that's the problem, is people are in this. It's instantaneous. It's gonna happen right away. I'm like, it's not going to. Because the people that have built and like, we have like, you know, the 2080 rule. The people that have the most amount of traction and the most amount of, of of views and visitors and an audience right now with us, they've been doing this stuff for 10, 15 years, and they forget that. And people are like, I'm ready to go. I'm like, well, here's the deal. You're about to be with our family, our podcasting family, for the next minimum year or year and a half. So as you're building this, we want to make sure that you guys understand it has a bit of a longer range. And that's what's interesting, is that people forget that. But I love that you said that if you're not, not already in the space to have the, the model of, of capturing the people that you're talking to, if that's not in place already, then get that in place, make sure that you're ready to go. And then we can start talking pr, and then we can start talking about how to have the guests on there. Because a lot of times you're gonna get the rain and all of a sudden you're gonna be like, I don't even know that rain just went right through the net. I don't even know what I was doing.
Oh, my gosh. And I know so many people, it's insane. Like, you go and they have, you know, know, CBS and NBC and, you know, Forbes magazine and all these, you know, accreditations of things that they've been a guest on. And you. And you look at their site and you're like, okay, well, what's your email size? Well, I don't. I Don't have one. I don't have that set up. I'm like, what the heck? No, please don't. No, no, no, no, no. Please don't do that.
Well, I'm guilty of that, too. Trust me. I'm guilty of that, too. I've been. I've been in that game. So I'm. We're not casting blame. We're not casting stones here, people, but we are saying it's time to, like, it's in this day and age to. To rise above the chatter. You actually. It's not rising above the chatter. It's finding your tribe. Find your tribes and chat with them. Start this conversation one by one by one and get it going. And that's the only way you're going to build this massive of influence because you could get. And this. I've seen this too. And you've probably seen it too, Tracy, where people have huge followings and all of a sudden they go and they. In like, they have a massive boost of a TikTok thing, right, where people come to them like, whoa, I just saw your TikTok. And then they have 50, 60,000 views right away. But it's not something that they capture the attention on. And then they start losing a ton of followers because they don't know how to make continued content. That brought all those people in, and so then they're scattered and they don't know their identity, blah, blah, blah. The key that we're talking about here, guys, is to find the team that can help you catch the rain and put you in the right position so that when you're talking to people, you're grabbing their emails and you're learning how to talk to them outside of the where they first found you, that you have value to add to them in continued conversations. And that's why your PR company is so good, because I know you align your. Your guests and your hosts just like that, so it's a lot easier. Am I wrong?
No, you're so right. And you touched on something that was in the back of my head of like, oh, I really hope we get to this. So this is, you know, of course, visualization, right? I'm like, okay, let's touch on this. Right? The interview marketing part of it, really, it's like, you know, same thing. I have 200,000 people on my Instagram. I'm doing great, right? Okay. You get a hacker or you say something off that, you know, one of the platforms doesn't like, and suddenly your account is dis. Disappeared and all of Your audience is gone. Right? And, and I've seen, I, sadly, I've seen it way too many times, more than I can actually count. And the, the trouble is, is that they haven't built an email list. And I know everybody. Oh, I'm so sick of email. Trust me. I get a ton. I get it, I get it, I get it. But it gives you an opportunity to stay connected to those people no matter what else is happening with other platforms, because you own that email list, and that email list is monetizable. And you can then when you're partnering with other folks, you know, the affiliate joint venture partner program part, it's valuable. Everybody always, you know, it's, it's, you know, it's in the. How big is your list? It's like, you know, that's a little personal, but, you know, in, in, in those situations, you know, it can really help to leverage again, you know, what, what you're doing. And so to, to, you know, to really hone in on getting all of that set up before you do any of the PR or, you know, any interviews, to be honest with you. Just, just take that step and get those pieces in place because it's important. It will save you in the long run, I promise.
It totally will save you in the long run. It'll save you in the short run, too. Who. I mean.
And if you can, and this is a whole nother conversation, we'll probably have a little bit later with Bob. Get yourself in the 3.0 space. Get yourself and get yourself moving into the new direction. And this is going to be a continued conversation and a continued, continued relationship that we are just starting, which is amazing. I feel like I've known you forever, and it does come on the heels of the alignment, internally and soulfully that we were talking about before. But you guys, I know that we have gone down a lot of different places, but really, it's, it's all the same thing, right? It's all getting to the right spot, visualizing the right places that you want to be in the right people that you want to talk to, and then bending the time frame for yourself by finding a community or finding a resource such as Stars, pr that can help you really get to the people that you're, you know, that you're aligned with, so that when it comes to talking to them, they're excited to stay connected. And you're actually, and more importantly, you're excited to stay connected with them. Because that is the hardest thing that I found is people are like, you know, they're, they have golden handcuffs. All of a sudden they're like, well, I didn't want to talk about menopause, and now I'm just a menopause master. And I was like, well, you were doing it for money and you're doing it for this. But, you know, deep down you wanted to talk more about spirituality and these things. So let's get you in front of those people more, start talking more about that. Right? So.
Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. And honestly, something that I, that I, I do in the strategy sessions is really understanding their business. And if they have, have different audiences and conversations, you know, like relationship coaches, right. They can talk to a divorce show as well as they could talk to a single show. They could talk like. So depending on, you know, what, what your business is, there's ways of pitch. You just do separate pitches. So like the interview topics, right, you have some that are geared towards this audience with the five questions and benefits, etc. You know, and all of these, those that funnel and you can have other ones set up too. So, you know, when we're pitching, we're not just pitching one type of show or one type of, of avatar audience. We know we're, we're, we're being specific, but two different places that still are going to, you know, lead them to you.
Wow, that's so good, man. There's some good, juicy stuff in here, guys. So I think we always like to kind of keep These short at 44 minutes is usually what we say, because that's the angelic number.
Actually, I just made that up. We don't always end at 44 minutes, but we could. With, with that being said, all the places that you. I, I dropped the, the link to your site in here as well, so people can check that out. Is there any, anything that, like, when they go to your site, they're going to log on, they're going to see, they're. You're going to see Bob, you're going to see who you're working with and how that works. Is there like a, was there like a quiz or is there an onboarding thing with you? I know that you're kind of exclusive, and it is something that if you get to work with you, it's a very lucky thing. But I know that in this audience there are some people that are ready to go and to do that with you. Is there a plate like at the, on the site or who do you love working with? And I know, like, Natalie's a great example. And if you guys don't know who we're talking about. There's a amazing visualization tool out there called the Mind Movie. And the Mind Movie is just like a vir. It's a movie that you can make that is also a mind. It's like a vision board, but it's, it's in movie form and I've known of them for a while. But anyway, with, with, with how that is, what is. What is what is something that you look for that could also be something that if they're not ready, what they know that they can strive to build so that they could be ready to work with somebody like you.
All perfect. So when you go to the site, there's an opt in because I have a funnel built and it's tips, right? It's tips for interview preparation and success. So download the document, read through it. It's got little highlights, little, little golden nuggets of things that you can do to prepare and to have success with interviews. And then you know, if you're, if you're interested in having a discussion, there's a, you know, book a discovery call with me. I want to talk to people because you know, I get all juiced up, you know, being able to serve and help people get clarity and understand what they're doing and you know, is this for them? Could they possibly do it? And if you already know, like, yes, I'm in, I've done this. I don't want to book myself. I've, you know, I really just want somebody else to do this for me. I get that you get it and how to position me better best. I want to start today, then just literally sign up and we'll get started today. It's really that simple. So you know, but, but, but keeping in mind, like make sure that you have what I just talked about in place because you know, it's again important and I'm going to go right there. Like that's the first conversation we're going to have is like, okay, well how is your structure built? Are you ready for this? Right? And if you're not, then let's have a discovery call and I can give you the tools and the tips and resources and you know, get a va and how to like, how to do certain things. Things. Happy to help get you ready to be ready to start.
Holy. That is the move. You know, so interesting too because I know I've been like.
I've been so lucky that a lot of the conversations that we have, like this whole conversation that we're having right now started because when we were talking in general, we were so aligned, I was like, oh, we should talk about this live. This is how our normal conversations really are. And that's how simple that your show should be. And that's how simple, simple this, the PR should be when you guys get to it. So anyway, all that suffice to say, guys, rewind this, this conversation midway through the beginning, halfway through if you're just jumping on here. I am here with my dear, dear new sister Tracy. Tracy, star of Stars PR and we are so excited to align with you guys. So excited to actually talk to you and Bob again on Friday. That's how much I love you guys about out some visioning some, some more ways to actually bring in the life that you have really dreamt of with a live event. But more importantly, you guys today, go in and find out how to be a better interviewer, find out how to be a better podcaster and check that out, the link is down there. We're gonna sign off for now. But Tracy, without any reservation, I love you. I'm so excited that we're here. It's such a great time to, to find in this weird kind of upturned up, chucked boogie kind of society that we're in right now. So great to find like minded and, and just align souls out there, isn't it? It's so great.
It is. Oh my gosh. Since we met, I've just been tingling every time. It's just like, oh my gosh, you know, just goosebumps about how all this, it's all divine. I mean that's my saying. It's like, you know, trust and have faith. It's all divine and when these things, things happen, it's just like.
So grateful for you too.
Well, thanks for being on. My audience totally appreciates it. Ray, Tony, Meg, I mean there's a ton of people that have actually just come and gone. So good to see you guys. We'll be on again next Friday at I believe it is 10 o' clock PST. I think we're going to be connecting with you guys again with Your Boo Thang, Mr. Bob Doyle from the Secret as well. Last week we had Marie diamond on and then you know, coming up here we got Vish and Laani. Like I don't know what's going on, but I'm taking it actually I do know what's going on. It's called alignment, it's called frequency. Right.
You're resonating, you're in that space. You got the vibe. You're in it. You got it. You're. You're being who you're here to be, sweetheart. It's awesome.
Oh, thank you. And, you know, it's even great. I have, like, a little baby thing right here. I've got guitars and, like, my DJ stuff everywhere. And I was always wondering, I was like, what does the identity of a DJ daddy look like? I'm like, oh, baby nursery here. You got your shoes behind you. I'm like, oh, cool, this totally works. And you got your surfboards. I'm like, oh, that's what it is. And I've always been, like, worried about creating this new. This new whatever version of who I am and what I'm doing. I'm like, wait, this is the version of me. This is the evolved version of me. So it's so good. Thank you so much for being here. I'll talk to you a little bit later. And thank you so much for blessing us with such great knowledge. And I know that you'll definitely hear from a few of the folks in our circle. You're gonna hear from me. I can't wait to be on more shows as well. So much love to you, and thanks, guys, for tuning in. We'll see you guys on Friday. Yes.
Thanks, guys. We'll see you soon. Bye for now.
