A short YouTube video by Adam Sand arguing that AI won’t directly take jobs but amplifies the productivity of users who adopt it, allowing them to outcompete peers. He highlights a common early use—AI-generated blog content aimed at improving Google ranking and user engagement—and prompts viewers to rethink where to invest time to leverage AI’s compositional capabilities.
It's not that AI is going to take your job away. It's that the person who uses AI will take 10 of people who do the same job. They'll take that guy's job away. The one that everybody's played with, right, is like, oh, I could use this for blogging. The first thing everybody went to is that it's generating predictable text. So right now, everybody just wants to write blogs for the robots of Google to give their website an upvote so that they might get some user behavior tracked, where someone will stay on the site for a little bit. So then Google will say, your quality score goes up so that you might get more people visiting your website. Do we reinvest our time somewhere else to take advantage of the composition capabilities of the tool? Save this video so you can come back and execute on it later.
