Hey, how's it going everyone? It's what else? Wednesdays where I talk about what else you should be doing besides SEO, PPC and web design. And I'm talking about Adam sand this morning and Sumoquote and your proposals because they could be better. And I've seen a lot of proposals, I've seen a lot of presentations for roofers and there's opportunity to improve. And when you have a beautiful website that presents your work very cleanly and professionally and then people get a proposal that looks sloppy, you can lose business. And yeah, you could have your process down, you could have your sales people trained and still you got a wife showing a husband something that looks junky. You got a husband trying to sell his wife on a, on a service and it looks bad. So the proposal matters. And I'm going to talk about Adam sand more generally too because somebody just texted me this morning, a long time client that I love and respect, a roofer, Nelk River, Minnesota, that said what's up? And said, hey, what about that Adam sand guy? Is it more process? Is it more CRM? Is it more whatever? What is this guy up to? And so I want to tell you guys, all of my folks that watch my stuff sometimes about Adam sand and what he's up to. I know a lot of you know him, but for those of you just a, just a separate point of view then, you know, I know he does great content and stuff like that, but in my experience, because I've been traveling around with him, he's been doing all these one industry, one model events, Charlotte in a couple weeks, by the way, in Dallas, not long after that, a couple weeks after that, three weeks after that. But Adam sand is, yes, a little bit of a marketing genius, but don't let that hold you back from having him into your office and having them take a look at your processes. He's extremely. What I always like about these kind of consultants is that they have a view on the back end of a lot of other companies like yours. And so the first thing to check him out for is this. He does beautiful proposals and sumo quotes, but in addition to that, he looks at your CRM and sees where you've got holes. So they do like CRM audits. And I know that he's looked at a lot of ACCU links. He also loves HubSpot and I'm excited because we're doing a website right now and hoping to integrate it as much as possible with the HubSpot CRM and stoked about that. But so yeah, proposals. What's wrong with them? Here's the deal. Most proposals and sales presentations also are kind of sloppy. You know, they're done on, you know, software that doesn't integrate any of the details with the actual work. You know, in Sumoqua's case, they, you can put in marketing pages and beautiful pages, but also have the details for the work. So you're essentially mixing the details in with the, the sales presentation, which is really cool. And Adam's team does a mixture of working on the tech stuff for you and showing you, you know, what you can do with sumoquote, making some of it automated. And he also has a team, Allison and their team. I think they're married otherwise. Yeah, they're together and they put together these amazing looking proposals as well. So there's like very beautifully designed quotes. And what he talks about a lot and what he's talked about on this tour is that most roofing companies do not have clarity on their differentiating features, like what makes them really different than competitors. So part of his process is to help you identify those things and to make them prominent in the, in the proposal. So, you know, I just saw one that had like a very prominent equipter because that's a big differentiating feature for, for the roofer that he was making it for. And then I think, you know, he's got ones where he's got like the little, the booth out front of one of the job sites, which I think is a very cool differentiating thing with project manager on site and just stuff like that. They make it look beautiful. Oh, the other thing that I really like about his custom quote stuff is Allison is doing like color pairings. So she'll do, you know, not just the roof color options, but then like, what if you, you know, redid your siding? Look at these, how they play together. It looks like almost like Pinterest boards and plays really well to maybe that, that female that's. That's helping make a decision in the home. But it just gets everybody excited about like, what kinds of other things could you do on the exterior of your home? And I know he talks a lot about upgrades, so I think that's a beautiful thing like that they're, they're kind of teaching roofers how to better offer upgrades for folks that maybe thought they were just getting roofed, but now they're excited. They want that siding because look at that color pairing. Look at how, you know, you gotta go look at these things. So there's like, you know, how you could put, you Know, some Adirondack chairs on your, on your patio, around the siding and around the roof. So there's a lot of really cool, like vision boards. Almost looks a little pinteresty in, in the quote. So they can make a decision easier because what you really want to do, and I see him talking about this, but just you want to help people imagine what it will feel like to have a new home exterior with maybe a few more things upgraded besides just the roof. So love that he's pushing on how to help roofers do upgrades. But yeah, if you haven't checked out Adam, which I know a lot of the people on my page have, but it's Adam sand with roofing business partner. And one of the major things that he does is sumo quote custom sumo quote design and integration with CRMs and process and stuff like that. But he has a lot of different things that he does as far as CRM goes. So if you're struggling with making sure that your CRM is set up well, that your people are using it, that the processes are in place, that's a good spot to talk to Adam Sand. And I do think that he has a similar kind of group of people that he talks to a lot as hook agency, growth minded kind of growing roofers. People that are really taking their business seriously and want to win more, want to close more business, but also need to figure out how to do it efficiently, not waste a bunch of money. So talk to this dude. Adam sand, roofing business partner. Hope you guys have are having a great morning. Upgrade your proposals, upgrade your process. Take a look at your CRM. Is it as efficiently, is it as efficient as it possibly could be? I'm gonna take like maybe.
Three minutes.
And staying here, if any. Like, I think there's not that many people on at this exact moment. I know people watch later sometimes, but if there's anyone that wants to chat, I'm gonna stay in here and talk about whatever because I like the more impromptu live stuff and I don't do it often enough. I know you guys are like, you do it often, but yeah, lives are great and they're fun. I'm on a walk.
So what, what do you guys want to talk about?
Proposals.
CRM marketing.
Huh? What up, tj? TJ says go live. All right, bring him on video. Let's do it. If he's, if he's available.
That's funny.
We'll see.
TJ's like, I'm still in my pajamas, dog. I'm trying to add them.
What's up, man?
What's up, bro?
I'm driving. I'm at TC Backer right now, getting ready to go teach.
All right, I like it. What are you teaching them today, bro?
All things social. So all things about how to, how to do short form video and how to make marketers like you happy that they're actually getting some video in their lives and they don't have to worry about their sales guys night bringing the heat when they're out on inspections and builds and all sorts of other things.
I like it. So if you had some random advice for my audience who we're talking a little bit about process efficiencies, but anything you want to talk about as far as getting more out of their social media, give us a couple tips, quite.
A bit more about SEO and how it relates to what I teach with social media. And you know, a lot of people think that social media is one thing and SEO is another, and it too is totally different things. But that short form video or those long form videos, if you get those to your marketers, you can write blog posts off of those videos and keywords and, and explain more. And in the short form video, Tiktoks and Instagrams, they're not just fun, they can also be educational and they can help your business grow.
Hey, speaking my language, bro. Well, I know for me, one big one is if you put, let's say, location videos, like, I like the ones where they go into a neighborhood.
Yeah.
And they're just out there. And you go, you got the neighborhood in the back. And you go, hey, I'm serving your area. And we love, we love getting on your roof. So I love those types of videos. You put that at the top of the page on your actual location page.
Yep.
And you could do it in front of a local landmark or a neighborhood that's kind of like people know it in that area. And you get a lot more time on page. So a big thing for SEO is time on page. We want to get as much time on page as possible.
I'm gonna make sure that I, that I start talking about that. Thanks for that tip as always, man. You're definitely so.
All right, my brother. Well, I appreciate you joining for a second. You have a great day. And hey, give people a little taste of what they.
When you're out with companies doing consultation around video, what are you doing so that they can. So if somebody wants to have you out to do the videos with them, what.
What does that look like?
Yeah, so I'm diving in all the way on the day one. Hold on one second. I'm diving in completely with all things social media from Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and tick tock. Sorry about that. But. But I'm also going into what paid advertising versus organic marketing is and how you can save some money or help your marketer by best utilizing those videos. If you. On day two, typically I'm going over in the field with people on roofing systems, showing them what I would video showing them how to get customer reviews and turning those into the short form videos. And then also just, you know, basically generation and recruiting.
Hey.
Hey. So I like those things.
Yeah.
My thing, I always tell people just, I'll let you get off here. And I appreciate it very much, bro. I always tell people follow money with effort. So if you're spending money on marketing, the best way you can get more money out of that money is put a little effort in. I like that you're helping people doing that.
Ty says. I know.
We're super excited to have you at the shop today. The best or the.
The team is ready to learn from the best.
All right, tj, you have a great day.
Have a.
Have a good time at.
Peace.
Anyone else who wants to talk about stuff? Michael Stern's here.
Do I.
Let's see if I can. See if I can get him on. That'd be cool to.
Okay.
I think he might be on the computer or something. I will say I'm very apt to include folks on my live. So if you ever. If you jump on my live and you want to be included and you're. You're saying, what's up? I'm ready to go. Because I'm trying to learn from y' all too. I'm like, I believe we're all iron sharpens iron out here. And yeah, I want to talk about whatever you want to talk about too. So what else you guys want to talk about?
Thanks, TJ for being part of that. That was awesome.
Otherwise, it's just another beautiful day in the neighborhood. I'm gonna hate not being able to do this in the winter here in Minnesota. Just take these walks and do lives. But I hope you guys are having a good one. Anything else you guys want to talk about before I wrap this up?
Don't be shy.
Throw a comment on here. Throw a like on here. Go, go follow Adam sand and roofing business partner. Go follow TJ McCormack, world's greatest roofer on Tick Tock. Follow him on Facebook. Let's see if I can. All right, I'm wrapping it up. Thank you guys for hanging. Appreciate y'. All.
