Short excerpt from a YouTube video (Adam Sand) emphasizing the central importance of tradespeople—roofers—to roofing businesses. Adam quotes Guy Brennan Leong, who values hiring roofers he can retain for decades and frames roofers as the people the business exists to serve. The clip ends with a viewer call-to-action to comment.
One of the best roofing employers in the country that I've met is Guy Brennan Leong. He's 31 years old, but he says if I can't hire a roofer and keep him working for 40 years, I don't want to hire him. He hasn't been alive for 40 years, but the way he looks at it is that the tradespeople, they're the real people behind the business. I've routinely heard him say to people like, look, the roofers didn't show up because we had a job. We have a job because the roofers show up every day. Right? And so they're the ones that we're here to serve. Comment below this video with your thoughts.
