Because if you don't document that that crack was in the siding beforehand, the homeowner is only going to notice after you do it. So you want to make sure that you have a process in place for documenting pre existing damage. So this is a reason to have a site supervisor have a companycam account. When they show up on a job, the first part of their job is to document any pre existing damages so that way you don't get blamed for things you did not do, and then you don't have to pay for it. That 20 bucks a user goes a long way when it prevent you from having to pay for 1000 or 2000 or $3000. Damage that happened there existed before you got there.
