Want one simple document that gets your leadership team actually rowing the same direction? In this video we'll walk you through the Vision Traction Organizer vto, the two page playbook EOS teams use to turn fuzzy goals into a clear target. You'll see each VTO section explained with examples, plus three quick actions you can finish this week to build your own VTO and stop the chaos.
So we'll talk about the Vision Traction Organizer. This is a document that your leadership is going to produce. It's two pages. You can find a template for it online. Just search for vto. This is just two pages because it forces you to think clearly. It's a living document. It's not something you're going to like throw together, be done with it's tool that your leadership team is going to use and it's going to keep them aligned. So here's what it has core values. What do we actually stand for? What kind of people do we want on this team? Your core focus that is going to be like what's your niche? What's your purpose? EOS calls it the sweet spot. It helps you stop chasing shiny objects. So if your purpose is to be number one retail roofing installer in Dallas, Texas, that's your core focus. You probably don't want to open up an office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. That's not going to get you closer to your core focus. It's going to have a 10 year target. This is where are we going long term if we get this right, what does success actually look like a decade from now? You're going to have your marketing strategy. Who's your ideal customer? What do they care about? What's your unique value proposition? Kind of asking what are your three uniques about your business? We're going to have our three year picture that's going to zoom in from the 10 year target. What should things look like in three years? You know, your revenue, your team, what's your culture going to be like as you grow your one year plan? Everybody can plan for one year. What absolutely needs to happen in the next 12 months if you're going to hit your three year picture? What do you have to do in the next 12 months to make hitting your 3 year picture possible? And from that we go down to quarterly rocks. What are the three to seven most important priorities for this quarter that move us to that succeeding in that one year plan? So what do we have to do in the next three months to succeed in our one year plan? And then the issues list which is going to be what's in the way? What's stopping us from achieving our goals? What needs to be solved or fixed or discussed to move forward? Generally, you want your leadership team to complete this. You want to revisit it regularly. Regularly. It's gonna help you shift from everyone just doing their best at whatever they're doing to everyone pulling in the same direction, and that's where you're gonna start building momentum.
