EP 1: The Holy Delay

Pastor Sandy Edwards teaches that waiting on God isn't passive but a way He increases capacity and heals hearts. He describes eight kinds of biblical waiting, from obedient to warfare, and shares his own six-month sabbatical where he experienced physical healing and spiritual refinement.
Welcome to the Thirst with Hunger podcast with Pastor Sandy Edwards, where we destroy every obstacle that hinders people from knowing God. Here you'll be challenged, encouraged, and equipped to pursue his presence, walk in truth, and live with bold faith. Let's dive in.
Hi everyone, welcome to the very first episode Of the Thirst with Hunger podcast. I'm your host, Pastor Sandy Edwards. This podcast is purely designed to destroy every obstacle that hinders people from knowing God. And so in this episode, we're going to talk about waiting on the Lord. As I begin to just prepare for this episode, one of the things that God was speaking to me heavily about even in my own personal life, is about what it looks like to wait well. So one of the things we need to understand is that God is not asking you to sit around and just look and stare at how much time is passing by before you decide to engage with him while you're waiting. It seems like years have gone by, months have gone by, days have gone by, and you've been doing all the things that you know how to do, which Which is worship and prayer and praise and also being vulnerable and transparent with God about how you feel in the waiting. But I want to challenge you to start in this moment as you are listening to this episode to shift your mind. And the reason that I want you to shift your mind is because it's not what we see or what we're experiencing, it's how we experience it. That creates an obstacle in our relationship with God. So if the way that you see God or the way that you see your waiting is with dread, or you're looking at it with bitterness, or you're looking at other people and what they have, you're obviously gonna go through your waiting journey with a lot of bitterness. This gap between where you are and where God wants to take you, and you keep lingering around and focusing on how big that gap is or how long it is taking for God to bring something to pass. Now, earlier this year, I kind of really just took a sabbatical from doing all things ministry, really wasn't present and showing up with people, only was really doing specifically what God was leading me to do for the past 6 to 7 months. And I discovered something in that process that I really feel is going to benefit you. Which is that waiting is not a pause in time. Waiting is not a pause in time. So it's very easy to believe that when you're waiting on God that time slows down and that there's a pause, that God is just like, nah, let's just pause, let's just sit around, let's do nothing. And that's absolutely not what is happening during the wait. When God has you waiting, he is increasing your Capacity for what you are waiting on him for. When God has you waiting, he is increasing your capacity for what you are waiting on him for. Now, a few months ago, when God told me to be in a season of, of just intentional rest and being on sabbatical and not doing anything else but being with him, there was this tension in me because it was right at the height of when my YouTube channel was taking off, ministry was starting to just pop off, all the things were going really well. And I struggled with that tension because I'm like, God, but it's right at the height, right when I'm gaining momentum, right when things are going in the direction that you always promised me, you're asking me to wait on you, to put this down and to wait on you. And so of course Because I love to obey God, because I want to do what God called me to do, I stopped doing everything that I was doing and I just began to sit with the Lord. And of course, during that time, God healed my body, took me through healing, took me through some inner healing. I went into therapy and just began to really, you know, deal with my heart. And those are the things that I feel like we also miss in the waiting, is that You're not just waiting on a promise to come to pass. Part of God increasing your capacity for what it is that you are waiting for him on comes God also dealing with the things in your heart that need to be fine-tuned so that when you enter into that promise, when you enter into whatever it is that you're waiting on, you're not sitting back still infecting that new space, that new time, that new season With the things from seasons past. So part of God bringing the promise to pass is also making sure that your heart has the capacity to receive the new thing without you infecting it, right, with things from your past like burdens and old prayers and old habits and old belief systems and old thinking that God wants to deliver you from. Him increasing your capacity. Him bringing the promise to pass also includes dealing with your heart. And how God dealt with my heart in a lot of areas was things that I thought that I had forgiven people for, things that I thought I was okay about, I really wasn't. And God wanted to expose those things. And the only way that he could do that was by disrupting the path that I was on so that when he brings me into that new place, When he brings me into this space, I am not pouring out from my past, but instead pouring out from the Holy Spirit as being led by the Holy Spirit. And that's so important to do when you are in ministry, making sure that you're not bleeding on people, making sure that everything that you are doing, that you are saying when it comes to teaching the word of God, when it comes to leading other people in the direction of the Lord, Pointing them back to Jesus, that you are not dumping out your soul wounds on other people because they are not responsible for that. You are, between you and the Lord. And so God began to really deal with and address these things. And I thank God for my therapist because she was really spot on with everything, like told me the truth when I needed to be told the truth, called a spade for what it was, you know. And I'm really grateful for that. And that was one of the tools God used as I was waiting on him. For what he was calling me to do. And so as God was healing my body, as I was waiting for the manifestation of healing to happen in my body, God began to use other things. And I want to say this, that, that when you are waiting on the Lord, it's very easy to believe that the way God has to move has to be the way that he did in previous seasons, and that the only way that you're gonna experience healing, or the only way you're going to experience whatever it is that you are waiting for God to bring to pass is through the measure of something that he did in the last season. And I'm telling you that having that mindset and yoking God to your own understanding, limiting him to the way that he did in your life or someone else's life in seasons past or maybe currently, is the biggest hindrance to you experiencing the capacity, the increase in capacity that God wants to bring to pass in your life. And so you're sitting here in an almost new season. You're sitting here in a time period that is a gap between where you are and where God wants to take you. And you're saying, God, you have to move the same exact way that you did in a previous season. And if you don't, then that means you don't really love me. Or you think that God making you wait is a form of punishment, and it's not. It's an increase in capacity. And so you have to shift your mind from looking at it as, God, I don't understand why it's taking so long, or God, I don't understand why you can't just do these things for me like you did for someone else. God, I don't understand why I don't have this like someone else has. I want this, I want that. And so what God is also doing is challenging your perspective To also deal with your heart that can become so self-centered, where you're so in love with what he's going to do that you can't enjoy where you are. And so God wants to teach us contentment when we're waiting on him. Part of him increasing our capacity is teaching us how to be content in him, not complacent, because that's a different thing entirely. But content in him. How do I practice contentment in the Lord while I am waiting? How do I navigate and where— and the, the, the tension that I feel in my heart because certain things haven't come to pass? How do I practice that contentment? The Bible doesn't just tell us to wait, right? The word of God doesn't just tell us to wait. It tells us How to wait, why to wait, and what kind of waiting honors God. So the Bible tells us how to wait. It tells us why we should wait, and what kind of waiting honors God. And so you must understand that not all waiting is the same. There are different kinds of biblical waiting. Some are sacrificial and others are strategic, but all of them are meant to build trust and obedience in the believer. So I want to break down to you the different types of waiting, right? The first type is obedient waiting, and this is when you're doing exactly what God told you to do even when nothing seems to be happening. And an example of this is Noah, right, building the ark in Genesis 6 through 7. It took decades, right? No rain, no signs, just build and wait. And the key verse for this is Psalm 27:14. It says, wait for the Lord, be strong, and let your heart take courage. Wait for the Lord. And so the application of this is This is active waiting, right? Obedient waiting is active waiting. It's not lazy. It's not sitting around wondering when God's gonna show up. It's not sitting around looking at your circumstances wondering when things are gonna change, or how long do I have to wait? I don't understand. And God doesn't want you to have dread in your heart while you're waiting. He wants you to be expectant. Because when you have dread, when you have bitterness in your heart, when you're comparing yourself and your life and your process to other people, you're dishonoring the process that God is trying to take you through. Okay, so obedient waiting— this is when you're doing exactly what God told you to do even when nothing seems to be happening. All right, and so the second one is desperate waiting. Desperate waiting— this is waiting out of deep need, like crying out to God because there is no other Option. An example of this is Hannah waiting for a child, and that's in 1 Samuel 1. And the key verse for this is Psalm 130:1: Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. And how do we apply this to our life? This waiting sounds like groaning. It's honest, it's raw, it's holy. And so I want to give you a clear example of this and how I've been able to navigate this in my own life. With the Lord. And that is, a few months ago, I had a health issue that, that really was affecting my entire life and how I was able to engage with my husband and my children. And I told the Lord, I said, I cried out to him and I said, God, I am tired of dealing with this same health issue back to back to back. You must provide a solution. There is no other way for me to do this. I need a solution. I need a solution. And this is where I'm gonna address how sometimes we limit God working through other people when we think that it just has to be God showing up. And God wants to use people. So when you are in a place of desperation and you're waiting on the Lord and your waiting looks desperate and you're at the point of no return, you feel like there's no way out, you feel like there's no Where else to go. You feel like you can't make it through. You feel like you can't break through. You've been waiting all your life and it seems like nothing is happening, and you get to that point of desperation. I began to cry out to the Lord and I said, God, if it's a doctor, if it's a surgeon, if it's a therapist, if it's any of these people who hold these occupations that you want to use, I will be open to what it is that you want to do. And a lot of us, when it comes to waiting on the Lord, we sit around and we're just waiting on God and not realizing that God has placed people around us or introduced us to people or even opened up doors for us to experience whatever it is that we're waiting on, to walk into that promise through the other people. We limit God and say it has to be God, but God also wants to To use people. And so for your healing, while you're waiting on that, God may say, I want you to set up a doctor's appointment. God may say, I want you to go and have surgery. I want you to go and work out and lose the weight. Or I want you to go on a date with a man. I want you to go on a date with this particular guy that you go to church with, and he's interested in you, and you haven't been paying him any mind because you think that it's supposed to come through. Another way, and of course I'm not talking about just doing whatever it is that you want. I'm saying that when you are waiting, you need to be intentional in the waiting, not sitting around counting how much time has passed by. Okay, and so I began to seek the Lord, and I was like, "I'm open to a doctor, a therapist, whoever, and how you want to bring me into this new place. I'm open to who you want to use." I'm not gonna sit here and limit you, God, because I understand that you will do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or think. And that includes using people. That includes using people. And so I did that, and I went through the process, had surgery, all the things, and God healed my body because I was pliable and willing to lend myself And bend my heart to serve the will of God as I was waiting. Okay, and so hopeful waiting— this is waiting with expectation that God will come through even when you can't see the evidence yet. And an example of this is in Luke 2:25-32, and that's Simon waiting for the Messiah. And the key verse: But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Romans 8:25. And so application of this is where faith gets loud in the silence. It says, I know my God is coming. I know my God is coming. And so hopeful waiting is not you having wishful thinking where you wish that God would show up, or I wish that I would be healed. I wish that I could just— I wish that I could just— it's not hopeful thinking. It's you agreeing with the Word of God to say, I know that you're gonna show up, and however you decide to show up, I'm going to release myself from this burden of feeling like I get to control how you show up. We do not get to control how God decides to show up. We agree with what he said, and we let him, and we allow, and we surrender to how he wants to show up. In our lives, all right. The fourth one is endurance waiting. So endurance is the one that we often skip over because having to endure takes a lifetime. In some cases, having to endure takes a life, right? And so this is long-term waiting, gritty waiting, where you're tested over time when the promise feels delayed, but you won't. Quit. So we have to understand that when there is a part of waiting that produces endurance, that teaches us how to endure, and those things are like thorns, right? Where no matter how much you pray, no matter what you do, it seems like it won't be removed. And that is endurance waiting. When there is a thorn in your flesh, you're just like, God, I don't understand why you're not taking it away from me. I don't understand why it's not breaking. I don't understand. And so if God hasn't removed it and he hasn't taken you to that place, he's teaching you how to endure. And endurance is something that every Christian, every believer, everyone in the body of Christ must learn how to do, because not everything is God going to remove from your life. Some things he allows to be a part of your life so that he can get the glory and so you can be a testimony. To others. So you need to be asking God, are you asking me to endure this, or is this something that I'm waiting for you to break off of my life? That is very important to be able to discern the difference between when God is asking you to wait and when he's asking you to endure. Ask and pray to the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom to discern the difference. Between waiting and endurance, because they are not the same. Knowing the difference makes a difference, because those things will determine how you pray. Those things will determine how you fast. Those things will determine your actions. Because remember, it's not what you're experiencing; it's how you're experiencing it. So if you are confusing Endurance with waiting. That may be the obstacle that's hindering you. That's why you feel so heavy. That's why you feel all of this pressure. That's why you're constantly comparing yourself to other people, because you don't discern the difference between endurance and waiting on the Lord, and they are not the same. God could be teaching you how to endure, and you keep trying to get rid of the problem, and there is a difference. And knowing the difference helps you to pray in agreement with God. And so endurance builds spiritual muscle. It's the weight room of your soul. And so you have to be able to discern the difference between endurance and endurance waiting. They are not the same. One of them teaches you how to be strong in the Lord. And to depend on him and to rely on him. The other is God bringing a promise to pass, and sometimes both of them can be happening at the same time. But you have to be able to discern the difference between when God is teaching you how to endure and when he's just simply asking you to wait. Knowing the difference makes a difference. All right, warfare. Waiting. This is when you're waiting in spiritual resistance. You're holding the line while the enemy tries to discourage you. And this is a big one. This happens to us a lot in the body, right? Whenever you know that God has given you a word, whenever you know that he has given you a promise, whenever you know that he's about to bring something through, the enemy tries to tempt you and make you believe that these things can't happen for you. So he tries to sow doubt. And this is why it's very important when you are experiencing spiritual warfare, or when God is taking you through the process of warfare waiting, right, that you are not listening to every voice that is out there, that you are very careful about the people that you decide to share what God has revealed to you with. When you are engaging in warfare waiting, When God has promised you something and the enemy is coming in like a flood, you have to ask God and pray for his help to be a good steward over what God desires to do. That means you cannot be opening up yourself to unnecessary warfare. The only warfare that should be in your life is the one that God is allowing to be there. This is when your waiting is spiritual. Resistance. You're holding the line while the enemy tries to discourage you. You're saying, no matter what, God already promised me. I don't care how much the enemy is trying to tempt me to make me believe that these things are not gonna happen. I don't care how much I keep receiving the bad report. I'm going to believe the report of the Lord because that's what the Word of God says, and I trust every word that God says, and I don't lean on my own understanding. And I don't entertain other people who are also leaning on their own understanding when I am believing God for what he said. Because Satan will do everything he can to distract you from enjoying the process of waiting with the Lord. He will do everything he can. He will send people. He will use your circumstances against you to try to tease you, taunt you, make you believe and doubt. God so that you get off course with the Lord. Because Satan's number one goal is to steal, kill, and destroy the promise that God has given to you. And if he can do it by using other people because you don't have enough boundaries, you don't know how to say no, you don't know that there are certain things you don't have to share with anyone— you're not obligated to share every single part of what you are going through and what you're dealing with with anybody. You're not obligated. And so because you don't know how to say no, the enemy will use this against you when you are going through warfare waiting. Because you have opened up your life to everyone and anyone, the enemy will use this to discourage you, to hinder you, to keep you from going after all of the things that God desires for you to go after. And so that spiritual resistance that you feel, the question to start asking the Lord is, what is in my life that is hindering me from having good courage as I wait? And the warfare waiting is when you fast, it's when you pray, and it's when you stand firm. It's when you stand firm. Okay, so punishment waiting. And I want to use that word punishment because this is a painting that is a direct result of disobedience and rebellion. And just because God forgives and he is merciful and he gives us grace does not mean we are absolved from consequences of decisions that we've made. What it means is that there are things that God will allow to happen because he is disciplining you Because of a decision that you made that was contrary to his will. And so this punishment waiting is waiting under God's discipline or judgment when your delay is tied to disobedience or rebellion. And so we have to understand that God disciplines those whom he loves. And sometimes when you're waiting, it's not because you're waiting on the Lord. Sometimes when you're waiting, it's not because you are waiting on a breakthrough or waiting on healing, sometimes you're waiting because you have been disobedient and rebellious to the Lord. And so God is, is having you wait under his judgment because you have refused time and time again to adhere and submit to his word and his voice and what he's saying. And so this is waiting under God's discipline And judgment, and this is when your delay is tied to disobedience and rebellion. And so an example of this is Israel waiting 40 years in the wilderness. That's Numbers chapter 14, verse 33 through 34. And so Deuteronomy 1, verse 26 through 35 starts out saying, because you have not obeyed, you shall not enter. And so we need to understand that God will allow you to walk in circles if you're not walking in obedience. Repentance is the thing that changes the course. And so there is a certain level of waiting that can happen in your life if you are disobedient and in rebellion against God. And that's the truth. Not all waiting is honorable to the Lord. Some of you are slow to move and won't honor God because you are too proud to let him use you, and your heart is full of shame. And God has spoken to you numerous amount of times about the same issue over and over and over and over again, and you have refused to submit to him. And so you keep going to church or showing up at the altar saying, I'm waiting on the Lord, waiting on the Lord, when you know that you're in rebellion. And you keep saying that you're waiting on the Lord, but you're in rebellion. And the reason— the only reason you're waiting is because God is judging you, and he's allowing you to go in circles over and over again, repeat the same habit over and over again, repeat the same pattern over and over again. And you're going to the altar crying out to your pastor or whoever, leader, and you're saying, I don't understand, I've been praying, I've been fasting. And that's not everyone. But I'm specifically talking about rebellion and disobedience and how that produces a wait as well. And it's not a good wait. It's not a praise in the hallway wait. It's not a praise before your breakthrough wait. Some people, some of you listening to this, are waiting because you're in rebellion. You keep believing God for the breakthrough and the healing and the deliverance, And God is allowing you to walk in circles because you are rebellious and you're disobedient. So not all waiting is good waiting, right? And not all waiting is honorable. Then there's preparation waiting. This is when God is preparing you or preparing the place, and you're not ready for this blessing or this promise.
Yes.
Yet. And so an example of this is David is anointed in 1 Samuel 16, but he's not yet king, right? Samuel came and anointed him prior to him becoming a king. God has anointed you. God has called you. God has chosen you. God has broken you through. God has said this is gonna be so. But he understands that you're not quite ready yet. And so for me, the way that this happened— and I've experienced all of these levels of waiting, this came out of pure revelation from the Lord— but for me, the way that this happened is God really began to deal with my heart about why I told him no about pastoring. And I'm like, God, I don't think I'm qualified. I don't think you chose me. I don't think you called me. I don't think I just don't. I'm good with just being a worship leader. I'm good with doing all these things. And God began to really address my heart and let me know, like, I may see myself this way, but this is the way that he sees me. And he knew that between December and now, I needed to be prepared for where he was sending me to do this and how I'm showing up in this space now. He knew that I needed to be prepared. And I took intentional time to really allow the Lord to show me myself. And one of the things that I shared is that when you're waiting on the Lord to bring a promise to pass, he's increasing your capacity for that word, to receive that word so that it can take root in your heart. And when he increases your capacity You are able to run with the vision that he gave you. You're able to do all of the things he called you to do without any hindrance, with boldness. And so God began to really deal with my heart about why I don't want to pastor. Why, why don't you have the desire? Why isn't it there? Like, what, what is that about? And he began to really bring things to the surface as to why I was telling him no, and it was purely built on my experiences with other people. And God began to address that, and he said, you know, I didn't consider what other people would say. I didn't consider your experiences, and I'm also not considering what other people will say when I chose you. I didn't consider any of that. I'm not looking at anything that you've been through, anything. I'm skipping past all of that. I'm overlooking all of that. I have need of you. I've placed a demand on your life. And for you who are listening to this, maybe you're in a season of waiting and you're believing God, you're trusting him, you're asking him, you're praying. You're just like, God, I know you gave me a word and I know what you've given me to do is going to come to pass. I know that you called me. But God is asking you right now to get your eyes off of how long it has been taking for this promise to come to pass. And to wait on the Lord as the Word of God says, because the Word of God does not say to wait on the promise or to wait for the promise or to wait for people or to wait until. It says, wait on the Lord and be of good courage. And so there comes a point as God is preparing you where your gift may be ready, What God is asking you to do, all of that stuff—you're gifted, you're called, you're anointed—all the things. Your character has to now match where you are in the realm of the spirit, because if God takes you into that promise too soon without your character being intact, without your character being in the position that He desires for it to be in, you will ruin it. You will fall flat on your face. And so it's so important to understand that God is sovereign and he sees way further, way higher, way deeper than you do. And so you may be frustrated because you don't understand. You've been doing all the spiritual disciplines that you know how to do. You've been practicing, you've been coaching, you've been going through programs. Maybe you're in school, all of the things you've been doing, all the things you know how to do. And you're frustrated right now because it hasn't come to pass. And God is just saying to you, get your eyes off of the promise and focus on the Lord. Your character has to match the promise. And so corporate waiting— this is when the church or community is waiting together for a move of God. Revival, breakthrough, direction. And an example of this is in Acts chapter 1 and chapter 2, where the disciples are waiting in the upper room for the Holy Spirit. And the key verse is in Acts chapter 1, verse 4, and it says, and while staying with them, he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait. And so sometimes God will call you to wait with other people. Maybe you have friends and people in your life that are believing God for some things, or your church that you attend, they're believing God for some things. And so this is when you wait together in unity, in worship, in agreement, and then heaven responds because of your expectancy. And so we have to understand that there is also a part of unity where you wait with other people. As other people are waiting on the Lord, you pray for them, you believe God with them, and you wait with expectancy that that is going to come to pass. And you just listen. You offer an ear to listen to them when they are going through and when they are breaking through. And so we want to make sure that we're also not being selfish as we wait, because sometimes it's more than just you who is waiting on the same promise. And you're never alone when you're waiting. And so if you can partner with other people in the body of Christ who are also believers, who also are on fire, With, with God, who are also filled with the Holy Spirit, led by the Holy Spirit. They have a prayer life, they fast, they, they really walk closely with the Lord. It is okay to come alongside other people and walk with them as they wait. As you are believing God, wait well with someone else, because it's not just about you. It's not about you. It's about God getting the glory out of your life. About God getting the glory out of your life, and so one before we end this episode, one of the things I want to say to you is that time belongs to God. And so when you are focused on time, you are trying to be in control. God is in control of time. Obedience belongs to you. Your responsibility is not time. Your responsibility is stewardship and obedience. And so you may be waiting on a spouse, you may be waiting on healing, you may be waiting on breakthrough, you may be waiting for a door to open, but God is waiting on you too. He's waiting on you to trust. And so if you wait with the right posture, God's delay becomes your preparation. I know that waiting on the Lord can be difficult, especially when you're doing all that you know to honor the Lord and you're doing all that you know to, to, to believe God, to trust him, and you've been walking with him for a while and it just seems like nothing is budging. But you have to set your mind on things above. And to come out of the place of lower-level thinking, which is just focusing on how long it's taking. And I know that that's very easy to do because it can seem like you've been waiting a long time, but to God, it's not a long time to him. And that's why you don't need to be focusing on time. The enemy would love nothing more for you to keep focusing on time so that you can be frustrated. So that you can be bitter, so that you can compare yourself to other people. Time is God's responsibility; obedience is yours. And so you may not feel like today that God is going to break you through, but God said that He is. And your responsibility is to obey his word. Of course, your flesh does not want to submit to the Lord. Of course, obeying the Lord comes with a strain because your flesh doesn't want to submit to him. But if you can start and pray right now in this moment to take your eyes off of what isn't your responsibility And focus on what your responsibility is, because waiting is not a passing time, and you're always gonna be on time when you wait on the Lord. But we cannot be in control and wait on the Lord at the same time. And the only way that we have courage to wait, the only way that we have The ammunition and the the courage and the bravery and the faith to wait is by waiting on the Lord, and He gives us strength as we wait. He gives us courage as we wait. The wait is just as blessed as the promise coming to pass. Waiting on the Lord. Is a blessing too. The wait is just as good as the promise coming to pass. But what is hindering us from seeing and receiving— we keep focusing on things that are not our responsibility, and that's time. It's not yours, it's God's. You're never gonna be late when you wait on God. Everything that you believe him for Always shows up right on time. Our issue is we want God to show up when we want Him to show up, and He doesn't. So the prayer needs to be: Thank you, God, for always showing up right on time. You may not show up how my understanding believes that you should. You may not show up the way that I want you to. But you're always right on time. Because God, he is fully aware that you want to be somewhere else right now. But he knows that if he takes you to the place that you want to be prematurely, you will crumble. Your life will crumble. And it's the fatherly nature in God. To wait until you are ready to put you in that place, to join you together with that spouse. And so if you're sitting around just waiting for whatever it is that you're believing God for to just drop out of the sky, it's not gonna happen that way. Waiting requires faith. Waiting requires steps of obedience. It's not a passing time. It is productive. Rest doesn't mean lay around and be lazy and not take the steps that God is asking you to take. May the Lord give you grace, give you patience, increase your faith, and give you practical steps that you need to follow so that by the time you reach the promise, you won't even feel like you missed out on anything. You won't take this deep breath of finally I've reached this place. It needs to be finally I am ready to receive this place. Finally I am ready to be in this place. Not finally, but finally my character matches the promise of God. My character reflects Christ. And now I can receive the promise. God bless you.
