In this brief sermon excerpt, the speaker urges listeners to abandon indecision and self‑reliance and to fully commit to God’s new direction. He contrasts trusting God with clinging to past comforts, old habits, and personal understanding, warning that reliance on one’s own insight leads to repeated failure. The speaker emphasizes that this year is different, with distractions, trends, and conversations that do not align with God’s movement, and that persisting in those will cause believers to be left behind. The overall message is a decisive, urgent call to trust God completely and to get on board with His new work.

There's no more second-guessing. There's no more fence-sitting. You either are going to get on board with God or you're gonna cling to your old way, your past life, your old comforts, the way you used to do it, the way you're used to doing it when God is saying he's doing a new thing. You're either going to trust God or you're gonna trust yourself. And you know what leaning on your own understanding will do each and every time. You've seen the fruit of it. This year is not like other years. Your distractions and all the doing and being preoccupied and caught up in conversations, trends that the Lord is not moving on and has shifted from is going to get you left behind.
