And one thing that I've noticed over the years is that there's been a plethora of messages when it comes to the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. There's always all of this conversation about haters and who don't like you, and even Jesus had haters, and when they followed him around, and this, this, that, and the third. And it's like, I understand the point But can we please commit to only preaching what is in the actual Bible, in the scriptures, so that people can reference to Jesus more than they do their haters, more than they do the betrayal and the disappointment? I ain't saying that betrayal isn't real, and I'm not saying that when people do things to you that it doesn't affect your heart, but when your heart is very raw and sensitive What you need more than anything is Jesus, not another sermon about what someone did to you, because all you're gonna do is rehearse and lean more into unforgiveness, which also makes you feel like you got a stunt on the people who hurt you, which also makes you feel like you gotta prove yourself to people who hurt you. All the things. That's why it's so dangerous to preach about stuff that is not actually in the Bible. Everything that happened to Jesus was purely planned By God. And more than anything, our focus needs to be on the Lord, not who hurt us. I'm not saying the hurt is not real, but our focus still at the end of the day needs to be on giving that hurt, giving that betrayal to the Lord Jesus Christ, and forgiving people, because all of us are 2 steps away Maybe even one step, some of us closer than others, okay, uh, from betraying one another. So those are just my thoughts. Let's stop turning sermons into man-made doctrines and teaching people to be more focused on man than they are God.
