When you read the Bible, take what Jesus said very seriously. And I— when I say take what he say very seriously, I mean do your very best with the help of the Holy Spirit to take the words that Jesus said very seriously. Don't walk away from scripture feeling as if there's a reason or a way for you to opt out of what Jesus said. If Jesus said we should live this way, then that's what he said. Don't allow anyone to pull you into a place to make you feel like certain scriptures and the things that Jesus taught does not apply to you, because they apply to all of us. Take what Jesus said very seriously. Don't play with it. Don't play with it. Don't play with it. Okay? Please don't. Don't do that.
