In this devotional monologue, the speaker urges listeners to cease keeping secrets and telling lies, emphasizing that God’s creation of light before darkness (Genesis 1:3‑4) illustrates an intentional separation that mirrors the Christian call to live as children of light (Ephesians 5:8‑14). The speaker argues that darkness cannot sustain life, so hidden sins and falsehoods must be brought into the light of the Lord. By exposing truth, believers experience a divine separation of darkness from light, leading to abundant, righteous living. The talk repeatedly emphasizes walking in the light, confronting shame, and embracing the promise of a fuller life through honesty and spiritual illumination.
Chapters
I know all week long I've been saying no more secrets, no more lies, but I gotta expound on this revelation because when God gave it to me this morning, I was like, you is lit, Holy Ghost, you lit. But anyway, in Genesis 1, verse 3, it says, God said, let there be light. And the very next verse in Genesis 1 and 4 says, and God saw that the light was good, and God Separated the light from the darkness. Now, I'm a person who I pay attention to how stuff is written in the Bible, right? And I noticed something that I never paid attention to. This is why I love the Bible. It says— it doesn't say that God saw that the darkness was good, right? It says, and God saw that the light was good. And then God took his very intentional time. Okay, we love how God is intentional, right? And God separated the light from the darkness. God did not create anything in the dark. That means that nothing could live in darkness. Nothing could thrive in darkness. He knew that if he wanted to create living beings, if he wanted to even establish the waters, he ain't do none of that stuff. Till after he said, let there be light. So until you expose it, listen, because as I said the other day, Ephesians 5, verse 8 through 14, we gonna read the whole thing in this video. It says, for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true. And try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful to even speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible. For anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ Will shine on you, and I'm going to reiterate everything I said earlier this week. Until you expose it, the shame won't leave. You're going to feel shame as you tell the truth, but tell it anyway, because when you begin to speak the truth of what happened to you or whatever secret and lie you've been telling, when you begin to expose it in the light of the Lord. There is a separation that takes place, and it separates the darkness from the light. Because when you are keeping a secret and when you keep telling lies, that darkness and that light are dwelling together. It's all one, and God wants it to be separated, just like he did in Genesis 1:3. He wants you to walk as a child in the light. He wants you to walk as a child in the light. Stop keeping secrets. Stop telling lies. Nothing can live in the dark, and your inheritance is life and life more abundantly. And there's nothing abundant about secrets and lies. Walk as a child in the light. Walk as a child in the light. Okay, love y'all.
