Moses didn't want to return to Egypt because of shame and pain, but God called him back anyway to free his people. Sometimes returning to a hard place isn't defeat; it's obedience. The question is whether your reluctance comes from God or from fear.

So many times we assume that going back is always a bad thing, right? Where we tell people, don't look back, God says don't look back. But I want to bring your attention to something. Someone that we often overlook in the Bible that had to go back because other people needed deliverance was Moses. The real reason why Moses didn't want to go back and set God's people free as he was commanded to, and the reason why he kept confessing His insecurities to God in the midst of what God told him to do is because he didn't want to go back to the place that caused him the most embarrassment, the most pain, and the most shame. And sometimes— how many times is that us? Where God is saying, hey, I need you to go back because there are some people that I need to liberate, there's some people that I need to set free. So not all the time is going back a bad thing. Sometimes Going back is you being led by God. And after you're done with your assignment, he'll send you elsewhere. But don't always assume that going back isn't God. Don't always assume that because you're feeling led to go back to a place, that it's not the Lord leading you. Be able to discern which is which. Is it your feelings? Is it your flesh? Or is it God? Just something to think about.
