Marcela explains how German writing clubs differ from American ones. In Germany, clubs are the main way writers organize together, while in Oregon writers tend to work alone from rural properties. The cultural difference shapes how writers build community on each side of the Atlantic.

That is the Stuttgarter Writing Club. And Marcela, you're gonna just tell us a little bit about what we, what we can expect there.
Well, as we were talking, Sandy and I, about this, we, we did state that this whole idea of writing club as the main form, in a way, of organizing writing when you, when you want to write in Germany is something that is definitely not typical for the US. Um, I mean, I know it from Oregon where a lot of people have like their 5 acres and their horses at home.
