Stop adopting a fake stage persona. When you switch into an artificial archetype, the audience senses it as strange and inauthentic, which erodes your authority, distracts from your message, and forces you to manage the mask instead of genuinely engaging with listeners.
Chapters
If you've seen those Alien films where the alien takes over people's bodies, it can look a bit like that. When the alien jumps bodies, the person looks the same, but they start behaving super weird and out of character, and that's kind of what happens on stage. Your personality gets masked and the audience can sense something strange is happening. It's just, it's not you, and it can come, and it can come across clearly to the audience, and that will undermine your authenticity, your authority, and it'll break your connection with them, not to mention completely distracting them from your message. And that's because if you're doing this switching archetypes thing, you're focusing more on managing yourself in and out of these Characters. Than you are on being yourself and being with the audience.
