In today's business and burgers slider David Corbin talks about the importance of illuminating the negatives in your life so you can face, follow, and fix your problems. What kicks you in the butt as an entrepreneur, as a family person, is not facing certain things in your life and face it. Just put your nose towards it and face it and deal with it. And if it happens, don't hide from it. So we teach face it, follow it, and fix it. It's so simple, but it's so profound because, you know, I told you once about a pizza company, Their profits were down. They were not going to be able to sustain their thing. So I came in and I came in as their chief illumination officer. Face it, follow it, and fix it. We found that 70% of Americans don't know what they're having for dinner by 4:30pm and this was a big pizza company. They thought they were in the fast food business. No, they were in the crisis intervention business. Wow. So when we faced it and followed it, they're in crisis intervention, then we can fix it. So instead of you calling up, I got three kids and my neighbor's kid, and my wife's coming home and I need something, and you're put on hold. You call crisis intervention. You don't want to be put on hold. So we taught them to go, that's no problem. That's what we do. You want our package three. But I realized, you know, most of my clients who did effectively sustained effectiveness from my consulting were those who didn't eliminate the negative, but rather they illuminated the negative and they were willing to go with me and dive into the dark areas that most people don't want to look at. And I'm able to say, dude, the way you just spoke to your executive there as the owner, that dog don't hunt. And we would have to look at that and we'd find out what's behind it and what's behind it. We shifted it, and voila.
