Hi. This is Scott Duffy. So this summer, I had this amazing opportunity. I've got a long bucket list. And one of the things on that bucket list was I wanted to learn how to drive a race car. And so what I did is I went to Las Vegas Motor Speedway and had a chance to drive this amazing Ferrari Modena around this course. And what I learned in the car really taught me a lot about business. And. And the most important lesson was this, that when you get in that car and you start to drive down the track, right, it's really easy to look ahead. And most entrepreneurs, we start with a goal, and it's easy to keep our eyes up and to look forward. But what happens is the busier we get and the faster things come at us and the faster the speed we pick up in that car. What happens is our eyes move from out on the horizon to right above the hood, like, just in front of the hood. If you're a skier, you call this, like, looking right over your tips. And what happens is we start to notice every single bump in the road, every single pebble. And so we start to make these quick, sharp adjustments in these turns. And that, when you're going 100 miles an hour, is what leads to a crash. And so the key is, no matter what life throws at you, to keep your eyes up on your goal on the horizon. Because what that does is it enables you to look down the road and anticipate. And when you can anticipate, you can make very graceful, slow movements and hit your goal successfully.
