Hey, this is Scott Duffy. I want to tell you about two calls that I had today because I think that they really serve as an important lesson for entrepreneurs and business leaders. So the first call was to one of my clients, and she's really good at what she does. She makes about $100,000 a year. And I asked her, I said, please describe your day for me. What are you going to do today? And she said, well. And she went down her list. She was going to start by returning some emails, then returning some phone calls, and then she was going to develop some marketing material for an event she had coming up. And then she was going to go have it printed, and then she was going to put it in envelopes and then stand in line at the post office at around 4 or 5 o' clock in the afternoon. If she had time, she might make a couple of sales calls. Now she makes $100,000 a year, and I respect a lot of what she does. The next call that came in was from one of my best friends. He's in the same business, he does the exact same thing. And I said, I'm just curious, describe your day to me. What are you doing today? He said, well, the first thing I did was I made sales calls. The second thing I did is I checked in with my assistant and we got on the same page about all the things that needed to be done today. The third thing he said is, after I get off the phone with you, I'm going to go ride my bike 100 miles and train for the Ironman. I said, how do you have the time to do that? And he said, because here's what I do. I take all the things, all those administrative tasks that he called kryptonite, you know, Superman. Superman is incredible. He can put so much on his shoulders. But there's one thing that can knock him down, and it's the same thing for entrepreneurs, it's the failure to delegate. So what's amazing is, While she makes $100,000 a year, my friend who trained and rode his bike 100 miles today, he makes a million two a year. And what he does is he delegates those things that he doesn't do well or can be done by other people. He hires people that play at the things that he calls work. And he spends his time focused on the things that he should be doing to move his business the farthest, the fastest. And that's what I encourage you to do. To work your strengths and hire your weaknesses and give it everything that you've got. I'm Scott Duffy. For more, check us out@scottduffy.com have an awesome day. Sam.
