A short spoken personal lesson by Scott Duffy contrasting aspects of life as "super balls" (which bounce back when dropped) and "glass balls" (which shatter when dropped). He argues entrepreneurs can recover lost focus in many areas (business, relationships) but not health, advising daily exercise—30 minutes each morning—to protect health as a priority. Hi, my name is Scott Duffy, and today I want to share with you one of the most important lessons that I've learned in my life. And it's simple that superballs bounce and glass balls shatter. And here's what I mean is, as entrepreneurs, we're juggling so many things at one time. We're juggling our family life, we're juggling our health, we're juggling, you know, our business and so many different things. And from time to time, we. We drop one of those balls that we have in the air. But what I've learned is that most things in life, when you reengage, like if you re engage in your business and you really give it everything that you've got and you do that for a sustained period of time, it's going to come back. I've learned that about lots of areas of my life. If I plug back into certain relationships, I really give it everything the same thing. Those relationships may come back. But there's one area of your life that absolutely is different, and that's your health. What I've learned is that health is like a glass ball. And if you drop your health, it shatters. And the problem with that is you may not ever be able to get it back. So my advice to you, what I really encourage you to do, is spend 30 minutes a day, no matter what you have on your plate, and get that exercise that you need and don't try and fit it in. What I find the most successful people do is this. They start their day by planning their exercise, and then the rest of their day falls outside of that. So again, super balls bounce, glass balls shatter. For more information, go to scottduffy.com have an awesome day. Bye. Bye.
