A Bradford & Bingley executive credits Scott Watson's custom coaching with retaining £8.2 million in business the bank was losing to competitors. Watson's approach focused on accountability and deep business understanding rather than generic training.

It's probably worth me explaining the challenges that we had at the Bradford and Bingley. One of the big issues we had in the market was that there was a huge level of customer attrition, people being attracted away by very, on the face of it, favourable offers to take their business elsewhere. It was important to me as a senior executive that we engage the right kind of firm. To actually work with us. Now, Scott Watson and his approach is, I believe, still fairly unique in the sense that Scott is prepared to A) understand your business, B) having understood it, to be accountable, deliver what we want rather than just delivering an out-of-the-box training course coaching program which every other provider I talked to was offering. Through Scott working with the team, working very closely with myself, we put together a program, a program that involved working closely with the team to actually deliver what turned out in a very short space of time to be £8.2 million worth of retained business for the group. Now, that's significant in the sense that that was achieved in a very short period of time. It was achieved, and Scott Watson was happy to actually stand by those numbers when we set up the operation at the beginning. So I have no hesitation in recommending Scott Watson, recommending his approach for both one-to-one work with the teams, working with executives as I was at the time working at Bradford and Bingley, or even speaking to others about how this is, how this can be done.
