How to Get Ahead of 99% of People (The only thing that matters)

In this motivational vlog, the speaker argues that the single most important factor separating successful people from the rest is the ability to take action even when they don’t feel like it. He frames this as a matter of keeping promises to oneself, building a relationship of self‑respect, and generating momentum through a series of small, consistent wins (e.g., going to the gym, waking up early, eating clean, recording a video). He describes the "winner's effect" – the compounding impact of tiny victories that eventually create a larger sense of achievement. The speaker also warns against unrealistic, all‑or‑nothing goals, advocating instead for incremental habit changes (gradual diet adjustments, step‑by‑step smoking reduction). Personal anecdotes illustrate how adhering to these principles improves his own energy and productivity. The video ends with a call to action for viewers to comment, like, and share, reinforcing community engagement.

What's going on guys, welcome to today's video. In today's video I wanted to talk with you about something special to my heart, the reason I'm successful, other people are successful, and basically what successful people have in common. And this has a lot to do with today's video, to be honest. And I'm just going to go straight to the point, it's the ability to do things when you don't feel like doing it. Like, that's it, you can click off, you can go off. That's pretty much TL;DR, but let me explain on that. Okay, so basically right now I genuinely don't want to record this video for YouTube. Like, I don't have the power, I don't have the strength. Like, mentally I'm not there. As you can probably see, my energy is a little bit down. Like, I went to the gym, got it done, but I think that most people that are actually achieving things with meaning and of magnitude have one thing in common, and that's the ability to stick through even when you don't feel like going to the gym for the third time in a week or fifth time depending on your split, or even if it's recording a YouTube video because you made a promise to yourself that you're going to do that. So the point being is when you make a promise to yourself, you gotta respect yourself Because if you would have made that same promise to someone else, you will probably respect it more. And I think you need, and I need as well, to build that relationship with yourself, essentially. So once you say you're going to get something done, no matter the magnitude of that thing, you need to get it done. Like, if you say you're going to go to the gym 3 times a week, you're going to go to the gym 3 times a week. Even if you don't feel like going to the gym, you should do that because that builds up momentum. And momentum is one of the most important things in life because once you have the momentum— that's called the winner's effect. It's a real thing, right? That essentially what happens is once you start winning in life, even if it's a small win, it accumulates Every single one of those things is a win. Essentially, you woke up today when you said you were going to wake up. That's a win. You done your bed. That's a win. You cooked and ate clean food for the day when you said you were going to do that. That's a win. And all those wins, like, they condense together and make you a better person in the longer time frame. Now, I'm going to be honest with you. It sucks sometimes, like, being so hard on yourself. And sometimes you might feel like, oh, what am I doing this for? Like, just like, fuck it. Let me just like go and enjoy my life. But that's again the difference between winners that win in life and losers that stay in the same place for 30 years, then wake up having 2 kids they don't actually like and don't know what to do with their life. Like, really ask yourself, what is the thing that you want to accomplish? Because I can tell you in advance, great things require a lot of sacrifice. You will not achieve greatness by doing the same things that the 95% of people do. Like, that's not how it works. Like, the 1% is the 1% for a reason, and you must understand what is the reason. The reason for that is doing the shit that needs to get done, even when you don't feel like doing the shit that that needs to get done. I think there is a quote by Chris Williams, the magic you're looking for is in the work you're avoiding. And essentially, if you don't understand the quote, you're a fucking dumbass. But if I need to explain it, you know what you need to like get done. So just start doing it today, no matter how small the action you take, even if it's like opening the computer and like writing down one line of code or opening the computer and like watching one video on how to charge, for example. It doesn't matter how small that action is. The fact is that it builds a lot of momentum, and momentum, when accumulated right, can get you to a whole other level. Look at what it's done for me. I don't miss workouts that often, and if I do, like, that happens, life, you know. But most of the times, even if I don't feel like going to work out I will go to work out. And guess what? After that, I feel fucking amazing. Oh my God. Yeah, I know. And if I don't want to record a YouTube video, but I need to get a YouTube video up for this week, I'm going to open the camera, put on my tank top, right? And just record a video of whatever comes into my mind because I made a promise to myself that I'm going to upload a video every single week. And if you cannot hold yourself accountable to the promises that you're making, you're making too big of a promise. For example, don't say you're going to start keto diet tomorrow. Like, that's crazy, honestly. Like, you don't know jack shit about diets and keto and you want to start keto? No, start with a diet calorie deficit and then work your way up to keto. Or you want to stop like smoking. You don't just cut smoking, you start like deducting the amounts of cigarettes you have per day. Maybe you chew like Nicorette. Like, it's step by step, guys. Like, you don't need to jump into like deepest water. You can just like dip your toes and slowly go into the water. And that's basically it. Like, it's not a rant. Like, I just want you to actually understand what it takes to be successful in life. And when I look back on this video, I will probably think to myself, wow, that's like a really shitty video. But regardless, I need to get it done. So I am right now doing the thing that I'm telling you to do. So yeah, regardless, I'll see you in the next one. And if you can resonate with this style of like videos, leave a comment down below because I actually read those and like comment for like every single individual. And please like the video and share it with a friend. I don't know, say him like, oh, this guy is amazing, he's actually legit. I don't know, something like that. Until then, see you next week, guys, and stay safe.
