A single-speaker guided coaching podcast (Self Belief Chief, Ep 157) by David Hulman that teaches a repeatable visualization exercise to reduce and replace fear. The episode guides listeners through a brief breathing and REM-like eye-focus induction, a sensory anchor demonstration (imagining biting a lemon), then a cinema-screen reprocessing technique: place the fearful memory on a screen, transform it into a silly cartoon, progressively reduce its impact by increasing distance and size changes, play the film forward/backwards and ‘scratch’/distort it from behind the projector until it no longer controls you. Finally, Hulman instructs inserting a vivid film of the desired outcome, moving into that film, creating a color anchor and a quick ‘whoosh’ replacement cue to swap fear for the desired state. The episode closes with re-orientation and encouragement to repeat the practice.
