21 Aug 2020 · 44 min
This is a recorded training/podcast by David Holman aimed at coaches, consultants and service-based business owners who have leads but struggle to close high-ticket sales. Holman frames the problem as sales anxiety and poor systems, shares his personal failure-to-success story, and presents a four-key system to overcome price objections: (1) Authentic Selling Secret (lead with empathy, validate and use storytelling), (2) Self-Closing Client Method (stretch the gap and get prospects to verbalise why they should buy), (3) Of-Course Offer (design a simple, irresistible, low-friction offer/experience), and (4) Get a Coach (use coaching to close blind spots). The episode ends with a CTA to book a free 60-minute strategy session.

If you want to know more on the selfbeliefchief.com podcast page underneath the episodes, you'll be able to find more information this is a presentation where we look at how coaches, consultants and business owners can overcome frustrating price objections to scale their business and own their life with without being salesy. And we're going to do this using the simple four key Sales Mind Mastery program. Now, this presentation won't be online forever, and this will be unlike anything you've seen before. Because this isn't just a program to overcome some mental barrier or a program on some selling techniques. This is a program that takes you from the stress that you're feeling today all the way to being ready to close sales and do what you do best, which is change people's lives. But I understand how much stress you may well be feeling right now. So you did all the training to become an expert in your field. People love what you do. You've done the marketing training on building your offer and generating leads that you thought you were in. You thought your business was sorted. But when it comes to closing the sale, they say, whoa, it's too much, or I need to talk to my spouse or let me think about it. And you're left frustrated. And I know how frustrating those things can be. I absolutely do. And now you're in this place, a panic place, where you're asking yourself, can I afford another bad month? Should I drop my prices? You know that's the only way to bring money in. Will my business ever grow or will I remain trapped by it? Can I support my family? Will I have to quit my dream career? These people I've worked with, who this is the stuff they worry about. And I understand because, look, my first, many, many years ago, my first 500 discovery sales calls were terrible. I was so bad and I couldn't afford not to make a change. I had to do something about it if I wanted to make my business work. And there'll be more on that later. So who is this presentation for? This is for Coaches, consultants and business owners who have an offer and leads but are not converting them or not converting them at the level that they wish to. It's for those who want to close authentically and with confidence as well. Because I know many people concerned, if I look at sales stuff, I'm not a salesperson. I don't want to come across as sleazy or this or that. And to be honest, that approach doesn't work anymore in this current iteration. You have to find an authentic approach with this, okay? And those who are an expert in their field, you have to be an expert in your field as well. Now, this presentation won't be for everyone. So look, who is this not for? It's not for those who can't get clients or get results for their clients, okay? You have to be able to get them amazing results. That's why I say you've got to be an expert. Not for those who believe they are a victim and think the world is about themselves. Certainly not for those who have an idle curiosity in this and won't take massive action. You know, because that's what I had to do. I had to make a massive effort and take massive action in order to get much better results. So I'm not looking for people who, you know, maybe are lazy or not dedicated to change, okay? I want people who are really engaged. And in this presentation, you're going to discover the only things you need to do to design an irresistible offer that does the selling for you. Use storytelling to overcome objections before they arise rather than have to deal with it all at the end and have clients close themselves instead of you forcing them. Wouldn't it be much better if the client just says yes? Look, I'd love to be part of your program. This is why I'd be such a good fit. And they did all of that for you. But you, you've got to know how to frame it to get them there. Okay? So that's what you're going to look at. Now, my big promise is to provide a simple four key, step by step game plan to overcome price objections and close high ticket offers without feeling salesy. Now, many of you might be thinking, well, look, do I have the time to watch this training or is this actually going to work? Is this actually going to improve things? Well, firstly, it's not a long presentation, but secondly, isn't it worth going through this training Instead of the 2, 3, 5, 10 years of struggling with sales, of price objections, of losing out on your dream clients, or losing out on money and Your business not growing or scaling to the level that you want to do that actually you're trapped by your business. Instead of creating more freedom, I think it's probably worth it. It's worth me saying the following. Of course. Look, can I guarantee you'll close every sale? Of course I can't. That'd be ridiculous. And we don't want to close every sale either because not everyone's going to be your ideal client. This is a step by step process to help you break through limiting beliefs, overcome objectives before they arise, and know how to close high ticket clients. You have to put the steps into action so you are ready when the right potential clients come along. We want to give you the tools to take the opportunities when they present themselves. So before we get into it, I want to ask you, does the following sound familiar to you? Do you feel lost and frustrated on sales calls? Do you have less freedom than ever? Are you in constant fear of when you'll make your next sale or stressing about when it's going to come? Because I understand for many people that's a reality. That's something that they worry about. Look, are you worried why? You know, why don't people want my help? Or why are they just objecting? Have you lost your spark and motivation? Do you feel guilty perhaps for not supporting your family or supporting yourself? Maybe you're struggling to pay your bills again. If we do nothing, if we don't get the right support, how will we ever grow our business? Insecurities and problems not dealt with just grow and they get bigger and they tend to repeat themselves. And after all that, how will you ever consistently make sales at the level that you want to? Many of us can feel alone. It's terrifying feeling alone in your kind of business journey. Now here are the good things and here's the exciting bit. If those fears relate to you, they're not the real problem. These are just symptoms of the root cause problem. And to find the root cause problem that is and has prevented you from getting the results you want, we need to look at the principle of cause and effect. Let's consider a quick example of this and how understanding this can significantly improve your sales success. Let's take an alarm clock. You set an alarm, that's the cause. It wakes you up, that's the effect. If you don't set the alarm, the cause, you will likely oversleep. So that will be the effect. So as a result, you wake up late, you're stressed, you're rushing around, you miss your meetings, you're behind in your schedule. You, you know, panicking, stressing affects things, affects conversations. You're late for this, you're late for this. And that's how it affects your day. So that's the cause and effect. Okay, so how does this example relate to your sales success? You're probably wondering, well, let's look at the root problem that has been the cause of all of your symptoms. You haven't been implementing the four key strategy and thank God it's as simple as that. You see, sales can be simple and fun. It's people, it's us that over complicate it. Up until now, maybe you didn't know you're making it more difficult by operating with the wrong daily system. So to fix your current symptoms, we're going to switch you to a proven system, which is the four keys I'm going to show you. And look, once you switch, you'll enjoy making sales calls. Your confidence will be bulletproof, making you even more of an expert. You'll be able to give your loved ones the dream life, the that you and them have been looking for. Okay. On top of that, you'll feel more certain that you can predictably close sales. Your business will grow quickly and you'll feel excited and good enough again. All things that I know absolutely you want. Okay, some of you may well be thinking, look, why does this guy really genuinely believe he can help me? And that's fair enough point. So let me kind of reintroduce myself and tell you a little bit more about myself. So my name is David Holman. I'm a certified performance coach and the author of the book Thinking Lies, as well as the creator of the Self Belief chief brand, which sales my mastery is a part of. With over 30,000 followers working online with clients around the world. Now, I've worked with a wide range of clients in this space in terms of helping them with their sales. From relationship coaches to digital marketers to health coaches, personal trainers, business coaches, work people in construction, architects, and many more. Okay, so I've seen how I can use my approach and weave it in different places. Okay, Now I think what would also help is if I share my story because some of you may still be going, look, how can I trust this guy? Maybe he's another coach that talks a good game and nothing more. And I think that's a valid point if that's going through your mind at the moment. I think there is a lot of kind of rubbish out there as well. So I want to kind of earn your trust if that's okay. By being vulnerable for a minute and tell you how I went from failure to scaling my business and designing my dream life. And if you're thinking I've got it figured out, look, to be honest, life is good. It is. But it certainly wasn't always this way. Now start with this picture and I'll tell you a little bit more about this. So my journey started 10 years ago when I decided I want to set up a coaching business. And I spent tens and tens of thousands over the years to understand marketing and how to generate leads and calls. After years of struggle, I finally did and was ready to change lives. And I thought that's it. I thought I worked out. But then a huge stumbling block. I didn't actually know how to close on my sales calls. I'd done all the marketing stuff, but I didn't actually know how to close. I mean, a few people joined, but only after I over compromised on price. I kind of thought once I figured out the marketing, my business was just ready. But I was still losing money and clients were saying it's too much or I like you but maybe I'll do it later. The truth was I felt like no one believed in me. Which felt worse as my girlfriend at the time had recently ended things. And this is a picture of me after a stressful day with no sales, looking a bit worse for wear but just wanting to relax and it wasn't a good time around then. And to be totally honest, I was miserable. I was stressed, I was struggling. I just wanted everything to line up for me finally. I've been working so many years on this stuff. The fact that I wasn't able to make sales consistently or gain price objections all of the time, it cost me so much. And I know that's the fear that many business owners live with it, maybe one that you are currently experiencing right now. The money had been dwindling from my bank account. I couldn't afford the simple things, was starving as my food shop was getting smaller and smaller each week. I couldn't even afford my favorite weekly pepperoni pizza from the local shop. And I loved that pizza so much. And then came the worst day. See, one day in, I think the month was June. At the time I was on a sales call with someone. I really needed this sale to make sure I could support myself in the, you know, support myself for the rest of the month. The whole conversation with this prospect, let's call them, Jay said how much they loved what I did, how much they liked me. I thought, yes, finally, another sale. We got to the price, and they said, how ridiculous. You can't be worth that. You're not that good. And after another 10 seconds, they hung up the phone. My program was just £1,000 that time. Them telling me I wasn't worth that. It broke me. I went for a walk in a nearby town and saw a homeless man. He was shouting, clearly in pain. I'd seen him before, and I thought, I can give him some money. And then I opened my wallet. There was nothing to give. My life and business was geared around helping people. And I couldn't even do this small gesture. It was so painful. And at that point, I just thought maybe it was time to quit my business. I had to change something. I was once asked by someone, when is it time to give up? I said to them, when you forget to sleep because you're working so hard, when you feel like you can't breathe because you use so much energy, you know, trying to fulfill your passion, when you're bleeding under your fingernails, just trying to hold on. At that point, give it one more go. Because from that place, life has to change. And luckily for me, it did. See, every day, I'd just been looking to make money, but I missed the first step. Now, I'd worked with many experts to help with my sales, but it was actually the words of a friend that taught me how to sell. And they said, people don't buy what you understand. They buy when they feel understood. People don't buy what you understand, they buy when they feel understood. Those words changed my life because I realized I was so busy learning sales techniques, I wasn't learning how to sell to my ideal clients. I mean, that's the most important thing, isn't it? And I continued to study and stumbled across a system for any individual to overcome sales and overcome price objections without having to feel salesy. And this is the system that I'm going to share with you today. Okay? Momentum built. I even wrote a book. I started to make incredible progress making money, enjoying life again, and finding happiness in the small list of things. Friends started to see how well I was now doing. And instead of pitying me, they're admiring my work and actually asking me for help. And my confidence was sky high. My business was finally doing well, and I could finally experience freedom, my life under my work control. Now it's your turn. Okay. Now, these are just some pictures of how life has changed for me. And you know what was even more amazing than any of this really was I came across the homeless man in that town a little bit later on, a year later, and I hadn't seen him for a long time. I hadn't seen him there for a long time. And again, it was only a small gesture, didn't make much of a difference. But I wanted to make sure at that point because I had money in my wallet at that point I could give him a bit more money, a bit more than I would have done before as well. On top of that, I just had about enough leftover as well to make sure I could pick up that pizza. First time I had that pizza in a year as well. That pepperoni pizza from the local shop. It was nice to be able to do the small things again, but it was also great to be able to do all these and have these amazing adventures I've had since now. Imagine picking up the phone, speaking to a potential client and then waiting to pay you 2, 3, 4 times the amount you're currently charging. Imagine having more emotional stability, living your day to day life relaxed with more certainty, not questioning whether you can convert a client or whether you can help them. Your life not being constrained by finance, but being fearless in your desire to change people's lives, that the people you love are taken care of. Okay, now this is all about real transformations, not about how to create, you know, a service or whatever. I want you to be able to change people's lives, but also get paid what you're worth to do that. Because the things you can do are amazing. The things human beings can do are amazing. And the reason why this presentation, the training that go through, why this is different to what the gurus will teach you is because this system isn't about being a sales expert. This system isn't about manipulating people. It's about being genuine expert that you are. Being the genuine expert that you are. This is about how to deal with the core fear when enrolling clients. Am I good enough? I owe everything I am and everything I have to this system. And this is the system I'm going to share with you right now. The four key strategy to overcoming price objections. Here they are. Now I've done sales calls in multiple coaching areas and other areas. I told you the different areas and industries I've worked with. So I know this does work in different areas. Okay, now here are the four keys. Firstly, the authentic selling secret. Actually how to sell authentically where we're not manipulating or pushing someone, but actually it's engaging the person, it's bringing them in, it's still bringing them into your world that you understand their problem better than anyone else and that they trust you and that they believe in you and that they know you can help them. The second key is the self closing client method. How do we get client instead of you having to force or push or coerce, how do we get them to close themselves? Okay, because we can proactively do that. That's not just hoping they show up proactively helping them close themselves, that's really, really important because someone is more likely to their program if they're telling you why they should do it rather than you telling them why they should do it. The third key is the of course offer. Okay, Having an offer that doesn't distract or confuse or create a problem at the end, because that's sometimes a problem, is actually an offer that just makes it was a yes. And then they go to the offer, they're scratching their head going, wait, what, how does this actually work? Okay, what? You know, an offer that doesn't create any doubt or a sense of no or the reason why they shouldn't do it. Something that seems so irresistible for them. And the fourth key as well, to get a coach, someone who can see your blind spots as well. Because that's what I needed. Now there are lots of elements that go into sales rapport and features and benefits and many others. But I call these the four keys because from my experience, these are top line elements that change my sales success, change my life and the ones I feel just aren't talked about enough. So let's go through each key one by one. The first key, the authentic selling secret. Now, HubSpot did some research on sales to see, you know, the biggest challenges, see what the biggest challenges were. And one of the biggest fears coaches, experts and business owners tell me is, you know, they don't want to over, you know, come across as salesy. And HubSpot found this as one of the top things that people worry about is are they going to come across a salesy or sleazy. Okay, now some of you may be thinking, well look, I've read lots of different sales techniques and trainings and there are so many different suggestions, it's overwhelming. I agree and I remember being totally overwhelmed. But rather than looking for the right answer, I actually noticed something that was missing from many, many trainings and things like that. The training was actually moving the people away from their strength, which is their knowledge, their empathy, their coaching and consulting ability. I fell in the trap of going through the script and not acting like a human being. Human beings need empathy and they Bring empathy. And that is something I introduce with the authentic selling secret. And let me explain how it works. Okay? All communication, I believe, comes down to one of two E's, Empathy or expectation. Most people lead with expectation. This person must buy. Why do they not like my product? They're wasting my time. If our expectations become too apparent to the other person, it starts to feel pushy. So we need to lead with empathy first. We need to validate what they say first. Okay, so to go through each of these three stages, right, first thing we need to do is listen to what they're saying. Now, every one of you would have said, I do listen, I do listen. But I've worked with enough people and I've said to them, you know, done a practice with them on a sales call and I said, are you listening? They go, yeah. And I said, well, tell me what I just said. And they can't tell me what I just said. Now, one thing is bad enough that you can't actually remember, repeat what they just said. But even if you can, the prospect doesn't know that you're really listening. So you have to be able to validate and repeat. You have to be able to go, you know what, I really understand what you're going through. X, Y, Z in terms of what they've just said, because they go, wow, they're actually listening. They're proving that they're listening. You have to prove you're listening. That is part of empathy and connection. So firstly is you've got to validate, repeat. Then we move into storytelling, selling. Now you might be thinking, what is any of this got to do with price objections? Well, the way you engage people most powerfully, most effectively is through stories. And we want to show them a story in terms of other kinds we've worked with that prove we know what we're doing. But on top of that, the bit that lots of people will miss is we want to, you know, insert the potential objections that this person most likely may well have into the story. So if you know that people are going to have objections like it's too much, they need to think about it, they need to talk to their spouse, etc, etc, whatever the most common objections are, we need to tell stories that weave in those objections a story that says actually this person, you know, the reason that they managed to do it and actually in terms of they were worried about price and then we said this and we talked about this and then they overcame that price objection. You know, do you agree? So that they can see that other people go through, you know, that process, but they also see the consequences. It might be a story of, you know, someone who didn't commit, who came back a year later, and they actually spent more money in that year than if they'd worked with you. Whatever those stories might be, you can't make up stories, but stories that can weave in those objections or you know, the ways to overcome those objections. Because the more you deal with that earlier on, the less likely it's going to come up at the end or the less likely it's going to be a problem or you're going to have to do as much work at the end. The more work you have at the end, the harder it's going to be. It becomes almost impossible. So storytelling, selling, where you tell a different story, because if you try and advise or tell that person directly, it's two pointed. Most people put their wall up or put their guard up. You tell someone else's story, the prospect will put themselves in the story, they'll insert themselves, they'll take themselves on the same journey. So you tell them a story that proves that you know what you're doing, that proves that actually this is worth doing. That proves that actually it's going to cost more if you don't do this. Okay, so storytelling, selling. And then once you've told that story, you've got to ask a qualifying question. You've got to ask a question to re engage them, you know, so you go through that story and you say, so you know, let's say the prospect is called Jane. So Jane, you know, having heard that story, similar to the story, when do you struggle the most? You know, what's your biggest problem right now? Because they've just taken themselves on a journey and they're going to associate whether they're going to have the same consequences. So we want to kind of re engage them with a qualifying question, but also a question that keeps moving that close forward. You know that we're always closing in some way, shape or form. So validate, repeat, then we're telling a story that will overcome the objections without them necessarily noticing it. And then a qualifying question as well to re engage them back in the conversation. And we just keep this loop up, you know, keep this loop going through your script, through the sales script. Okay, now some of you might be thinking, well look, what if the authentic me was just born with low self esteem and I can't build an authentic rapport with someone? I've heard people say that before. So let me just show you a quick example so this is one health coach I worked with with their business. They said the feedback you gave helped me see where in the script I had trouble sounding natural. Okay, so that was, we had to go to the authentic selling secret part to help it, you know, so it wasn't kind of robot, kind of, you know, question answer, question answer. Because that's just boring. It doesn't engage anyone said you also helped me help to helped see how to feedback before jumping into the next question. Okay, how do we validate, repeat, insert those stories how to feedback. You helped me close. I really enjoyed working with him. So absolutely for him he didn't feel like he had a natural way of doing it. But you learn this stuff, you learn how to come across as more authentic. You can lean into being authentic and then it just, it can just work, it just works like magic. We all, when we're authentic, when we're just natural, that's when we're at our best. So that's the first key. Okay, the authentic selling secret. Then we move into the self closing client method. Now the mistake, many of the kind of people who refer to themselves as gurus, you know there are lots of experts. The one who reverse to themselves as gurus though mistake they make is that they try to create tricks, tips to force someone into the sale which doesn't feel authentic to us and it's just not you or at least I hope not anyway. And really just to ask yourself, look, do you want to drag a client over the line to work with you or do you want to get them to tell you why they should invest? Okay, if we think about it, if we could get them to tell you why they should invest, what would you have done to make it happen? If we want people to spend more with us, they can't be forced or coerced into it. They have to say out loud why they should work with you. And this approach is to lean back and let them sell themselves. Let's quickly, I just want to show this sort of picture or this diagram. It's a lot more simple than it may look. But just to take you through it, we've got to stretch this gap between X being the problem. So we're going to stretch the gap between X getting worse, solving X. So it's not just about good enough to say where they are and where they want to get to. We need to look at the very real consequences of if they don't do something that is work with us or get support, then their problems going to get worse. If they do do something and they solve the problem, actually, it's going to benefit other areas of their life. Okay, so that gap is actually much, much bigger. Things may well get a lot worse, and things are going to get a lot, lot better. They solve the problem. Now, if you get a client to tell you why, they would be a good fit. If they then back out, they're going against their own words and people don't like to do that, you know, and it's not about, you know, there's nothing wrong with that. If they say it's something they need to do, it can be scary to try and commit to a program and a little bit worrisome. But if they get the words to say it, they've got to back up their own words and have the courage, because we know that if they do have the courage to work, work with you, that they're going to get great results as well. Wouldn't you rather have someone tell you why they want to work with you? So during the conversation and before the close, we want to consistently stretch this gap we can see on the screen. And again, we want the client to tell us why they need to work with us, not put the words in their mouth. So, you know, we need to come and get across to them. Look what happens to a problem that's left unresolved. They say, you know, it gets worse, it costs more money, affects our health and our relationships. Absolutely. When we solve a problem, does it positively impact the rest of our life? Now, for them, of course, the answer is yes. You know, it improves all areas. It might improve things financially, it might reduce my stress, it might remove sort of health concerns, it might improve my relationships, whatever it might well be. But remember, whilst we want to do all of that, we have to let the client tell you all of this first, then we can add more to it. So we want to get the right questions across, but we want to keep stretching this gap and we want to keep reminding them of this gap because this is what the reality is. We want them to face and be realistic about what's actually going on, that actually if they don't solve this problem, they're going to be in a tough spot and it's going to get worse. Okay? So we want to keep stretching this gap and get them to close themselves, not by us telling them why they must, you know, what it's going to cost if they don't work with us or why it'd be so much of a benefit to them, because that's what average people do on sales Calls the really top ones, get the client to sell them now get the client to do this themselves and then we can add to it. Okay, now it's, you know, it does need some finessing to do this and it's not straightforward. I appreciate that, but that's the approach that I get to do with my private clients. Okay, now some of you may be thinking, okay, well that sounds good, sounds interesting. Does this process actually work for me? Have other people gotten results? So I'll just show you a few examples of what people have said and here's just one of someone actually very new to coach. So some of you may be very new and adopted this approach. They said, look, I've signed my first 2,000 pound client. In fact, I think it was actually, that was actually one of multiple payments. So it was actually a four or six thousand pound client. But absolutely, you know, their first client. So it doesn't matter if you're a beginner, if you're someone, you know, more, way more advanced who's trying to scale up to doing, you know, four times, five times, they've got 10,000 plus say, you know, offers and things like that. So absolutely it can work for people. And here's another one. This is Jason who regarded by Financial Times as one of the best sort of finance experts who commented on me saying, look, David is quickly becoming a leading coach, speaker and author. His self improvement sessions are very effective for anyone. And the moment I met David I knew he would make a massive positive difference. Okay, so it's really nice thoughts there. And look, the thing is, when we go past that and when we go past that self closing client method, the other thing that's also incredibly important is actually does the offer confuse people? Does the offer distract people? So the third key is the, of course offer. And the first question I ask anyone is, look, does your offer give people a chance to say no? Really think about that for a moment. Does your offer give people a chance to say no? Is there some sort of friction in there? Is there a bit of confusion? Do the milestones that they go through, are they actually milestones that the person wants? Maybe you've had a great conversation but then you present the features and the benefits or the milestones and they go, hang on, this isn't what I needed. I was enjoying this conversation but now I'm confused. Maybe this isn't right for me. And this happens a lot, there's too much complexity or it doesn't really hit the nail on the head of what the clients are. People haven't done the market research to create an offer that actually absolutely is what the ideal client wants. We have to look at all of this stuff. I call it the of course offer. Because once I learned this stuff, to actually create a really, really simple offer, but highly effective one. Once I started doing that, I'd start having people going, look, Dave, before I even got to try to, you know, tell them the cost of the price or anything like that is they go, David, of course I want to work with you. Of course I want to do this. It's perfect. Okay? Not everyone's going to say it's perfect. And some people just really want to be part of it. They just will say anything to be a part of it. But that's great. That's really good. Okay, so now how do we actually do this in terms of an off course offer? How do we up level our program and our offer? How do we get to a point where we don't give people the chance to say no? Because Salesforce did a bit of research. It said 80% of customers say the experience a company provides is just as important as its products. Now the people I speak to about sales, they don't yet know how to create an experience for their client and present that experience, present that offer that is just irresistible. That feels like it would be a red carpet experience for them. Okay, you know, the way we frame it to the prospects is incredibly important because some people get so excited about their product, they actually forget how to communicate it. They realize that the person isn't engaged in your world every day. So they don't quite understand this stuff and the framing becomes too complicated instead of enhancing the conversation, it actually confuses them and puts up their resistance. People will not pay more money if they don't understand the experience they'll be getting. Okay, so really think about. You may think it makes sense, but to the prospect listening, do they really understand? Do they really get it? And you can have all the techniques in the world, but if you don't create a must have service and experience in a product that prospects understand, you are going to struggle to close. Can't put it more simply than that. Most of my clients need to improve their offer and how to pitch it to significantly increase their conversion rate. And I want to give you just a very clear example of one of the best people, you know, best companies in the world in terms of doing this. Apple. We all know Apple, for many people is just an irresistible thing. Why? There's an article done by Time magazine that looked into this and we can't doubt any of this. Easy to use and they keep it simple and they've got greater customer service and the people who create it actually want it themselves. Do you actually want your own product on top of that? Is it easy to use and is it simple? You may think both of those things, but do you know how to present both of those things to your prospect? If you don't know how to present your prospect, why it's easy to use and why it's simple but effective, it doesn't matter how good you are, there will be a problem. Okay? And if you can do this, then it's a complete game changer. Now look, some of you may still be thinking, okay, but maybe I can't do, look, there's a lot here. Maybe I'm just not good at sales. Maybe this is just not for me. Okay, I understand. Because sales can feel strange at times. It can feel weird to us, especially to people who aren't necessarily in sales. And you might be a coach or consultant who just wants to do what you love to do. Okay, so let me introduce you to Sylvia. Okay, so Sylvia was a relationship coach who really, really, just in terms of sales, it's very, very strange, very new. You had to kind of sell at a certain level, but couldn't increase the price of the offer, couldn't really get charged. Her true worth, her true value. She wanted to increase her prices to live a sort of more abundant life. And she said, my time with David was amazing. He's an awesome listener and understood where I needed help most. I enjoyed our time together. And although at points it was tough, David was so caring and so professional. He really gave me confidence. And now I feel epic. Thank you so much, David. And she put your legend, which is very sweet of her. I highly doubt that, but it's very sweet of her. And she could increase her relationship coaching offer in terms of her one to one coaching, her group offer, all of that stuff, it could just scale very easily once she inserted this stuff. And she will say that she wasn't an expert at sales. So it absolutely is possible. Even if you don't think it's, you know, sales is something that comes easy to you. Okay, so that's the third key. Now the fourth key is getting a coach. Okay. Because you know about the authentic selling secret, the self closing client method and the of course offer. Having a coach to implement those strategies, help implement those strategies is the difference in level of success. Okay, Now I had a conversation with someone who was struggling in sales and he said he didn't understand coaching and he didn't understand, you know, and he just would never do anything about it. He wouldn't invest in it. I found that really interesting because I said to him, if you wouldn't invest in yourself, why would someone else invest in you? I remember just that long pause and he sort of nodded, but didn't know the words to say. He said, you know what? I think you're right. I think you're right. And you know, it's investing in yourself in terms of time, maybe money, in terms of actually effort, in terms of, you know, in terms of, you know, what you're reading, what you're listening to, whatever it might be. If we want people to believe in us, then we've actually got to take effort to build our belief, build our confidence in this area. Okay? So, you know, and if people aren't willing to do something about it or work with someone, might that be the reason they're struggling to get results? It's just a thought and it's something I had to, absolutely had to do at some point. And another bit of research here, which found that professionals with three to four years of selling experience spend 50% more time on sales training than those with two years or less. Now, what does that actually mean? It means that people who see more, you know, spend more time with selling and sales and bit more success and as I said, spent more time with it, recognize that they should commit more time to their training. As time goes by, the more time they do this, the more time they spend with sales training. Okay? So whether you're new to this, we've been doing this for a while, people, more and more people will recognize, and you may well be waking up to this as well, that we have to do something about it if we want to scale our business at the level that we desire. Okay? And if you try and do this by yourself, as I tried to for a while, you will live in uncertainty. You will waste time guessing what to do. You may have time, you know, may have to give up your business. Your insecurities will affect your relationships. You know, your stress, your anxiety will run the risk of losing clients who need your help. Okay? And that's all really tough. Look, and whether it's me or another coach, you know, just make sure that they're getting results and they give top class support. They're the only things you need to look out for. Wherever you're looking for it, just make sure that they're doing those things. And you know, do you Want to feel like struggling or failing or lacking energy? Or do you want to make sales fun and successful and truly live and get to do more of what you love to do and change even more lives? And look, here are just some more kind of stories and testimonials from people that I've worked with in different coaching programs because I learned how to sell and I got to do more of what I love to do. And that was fantastic. Now again, some of you might be thinking, okay, but David, does coaching work? And it's a good question. I think there are coaches out there who promise more than they can deliver. And as I said, look, here are just some testimonials of the people I work with in different areas who are getting great results, including in sales. So coaching can absolutely work for you, as I know you know, because of the great results you get other people. Okay, so look, you now have a choice. Because I've had a few who didn't do anything about it and they came back to me year later and the stress prolonged and it just said, what if?
