All right, everybody, Happy Monday. Hope everyone is geared up for an awesome, awesome week. Luke, I know you and I have both had some time off. We've both been kind of out traveling. I've spent a ton of time on the road, so I've listened to a ton of great podcasts and got educated. I assume you have, too. What do you got on your to do list, Luke? What do you. What are you really looking to tackle this week?
I'll tell you. The biggest thing that I've discovered over the last couple weeks that I need to do is actually spend more time on my business and doing the things that a manager should be doing and owners should be doing instead of the things that I pay people to do. It's just. It's nutty how you kind of. You kind of get comfortable doing the things you're comfortable doing, and you don't spend the time doing the things that you need to be doing in your business. And so you're never stepping back.
You're too busy working in the business.
Exactly. So this week, I'm going to make sure that I meet with my managers, you know, get people held accountable properly, and really start to finish the processes that we were trying to develop, you know, long before now that we just hadn't gotten to. Yeah.
And you know, what's so great about these long times off is I'm able to listen to the education that's out there. And that's the one big takeaway I've had from this week, is there are so many great resources. There's so much good information out there. Obviously, we want you guys to go back and listen to all of our podcasts. We are the source dealers, helping dealers. You know, and sometimes I'll get into some of these podcasts and I'll get down the road and I find out it's a sales pitch or I find out that this guy's got some agency that he's trying to get me into or angle me into. So there's places like this podcast and the Facebook groups and the forums and your 20 groups and friends. Like, I mean, there's just so many areas to get educated from other dealers that don't have an agenda. They're not trying to sell you their service or their. That's right.
And it's so important to. To listen to other dealers because so many other dealers have been through the same things that we face each day. And, you know, my good friend Marshall, who we've had on a podcast before, was in town for a couple of days. And, you know, having someone. Another dealer in your. Your dealership from time to time, looking over things with you is a good thing as well. If someone's able, you know, if you've got a good friend in the business, maybe maybe bring them over to your office for a day to look around and see what you're missing, because it's amazing how. How it enlightens you and. And gets you back on track.
Oh, man, that sounds like a. That sounds like an entire podcast right there, Luke. I could only imagine having someone in questioning why I do what I do.
Yeah. You know, so we were. We were at 20 groups for two days last week. Then I come home to that. I'll tell you, I'm. It's kind of. It's gonna be shocking all this week, so hopefully I'll get back on track. Yeah, you're gonna.
You're gonna be itching. Awesome. All right, everybody. Hey. We appreciate listening to the podcast. Stay tuned for Thursday's episode and go out, get educated, participate. Put in your 2 cents in the forums and online and reach out to dealers and.
For sure. Yep.
All right, take care.
